Suffer These Crimes in Oakland? Don't Call the Cops

Suffer These Crimes in Oakland? Don't Call the Cops NBC Bay Area
"Oakland's police chief is making some dire claims about what his force will and will not respond to if layoffs go as planned.
Chief Anthony Batts listed exactly 44 situations that his officers will no longer respond to and they include grand theft, burglary, car wrecks, identity theft and vandalism.
He says if you live and Oakland and one of the above happens to you, you need to let police know on-line."

This is american-socialism folks.

Learn from their failed experiment or suffer the guaranteed results of socialism/progressivism.

"Other lessons come in learning about work and consequences.
The youngsters are paid a small stipend — $10 the first week, $15 the weeks after — for weeding, if they show up every day, do their best and contribute to the greater good, Rich said.

There are other lessons."

What a great lesson for these underprivileged kids!

Gone with the wind | Jamie Dean | Jul 17, 10

WORLD Magazine Gone with the wind Jamie Dean Jul 17, 10
"About once a month, Robert Bryce climbs onto the roof of his Austin, Texas, home, lugging a long-handled mop.
The science writer and Manhattan Institute fellow isn't cleaning gutters.
He's cleaning solar panels.

The 3,200-watts of solar photovoltaic panels provide one-third of the electricity that Bryce's family consumes, slightly reducing his monthly power bill.
But the panels aren't without problems: The start-up costs were high, the inverter has already broken once, and the panels require regular cleaning.

Bryce quickly wondered if the panels were worth the investment, and he soon realized that the limits of solar power for his Texas home extended to the rest of the country:
Solar power won't run America anytime soon.
Neither will wind power."

Crisis Awaits World’s Banks as Trillions Come Due - NYTimes.com

Duncan: Congress needs to act now on school money

My Way News - Duncan: Congress needs to act now on school money
"U.S. Education Secretary Arne Duncan urged Congress on Friday to act soon to increase education funding because cash-strapped states can't wait until the fall to determine if they must lay off thousands of teachers.
.......At the forum, U.S. Sen. Patty Murray said she hopes fellow lawmakers spent their Fourth of July break hearing from parents and teachers, like she did."

No mention of the over-payed, over-benefited, underworked teachers giving a bit of their triple per year compensation increases.

New Black Panthers: The Dumbest SOB's On The Planet

Priceless.

There's a black American president for the first time in history - and the new black panther party is ready to rumble with the Tea Party movement on the DC Mall in September.
This dumb-ass couldn't do a better job of marginalizing his group if he tried.

Of course, Obama is trapped after having protected them with his DOJ.
And a racial confrontation is the last thing Democrats want in September before the mid-terms.

This is so good for the GOP, the idiot must be a plant.

But the morons in the MSM...and much of the american left, tell us it's the "maniac TeaPartiers" who we should fear.

Daily Pundit » Just Craziness
"Anyway, toward the end of today’s article Laffer has a stunning proposal:
Any government program that would reduce unemployment has to make working more attractive for both employer and employee. Since late 2007 the federal government has spent somewhere around $3.6 trillion to stimulate the economy.
That is a lot of money.
My suggestion would have been to take all $3.6 trillion and declare a federal tax holiday for 18 months.
No income tax, no corporate profits tax, no capital gains tax, no estate tax, no payroll tax (FICA) either employee or employer, no Medicare or Medicaid taxes, no federal excise taxes, no tariffs, no federal taxes at all, which would have reduced federal revenues by $2.4 trillion annually.
Can you imagine where employment would be today?
How does a 2.5% unemployment rate sound?

It’s a valid point.
Yes, it is.
In fact, it makes perfect sense.

However, there’s no room for “income redistribution,” graft, rewarding political allies and punishing political enemies, or increasing the power and control of the federal government in it.

Therefore there is no chance in hell of it ever happening, certainly not under any Socialist Democrat administration, and especially not under the Obamarxist administration.

Sadly, not under a GOP administration, either."

The Rush Limbaugh challenge

The Rush Limbaugh challenge Washington Examiner
"I have found a fascinating phenomenon among liberals.
They feel free to harshly criticize Rush Limbaugh yet rarely, if ever, listen to him.
And when they do hear him it is in carefully selected brief excerpts or in second- or third-hand accounts.
This leads to a lot of misconceptions on their part."

Boring Barry

American Thinker: Boring Barry
"Much worse for Obama than becoming unlikeable is becoming boring -- and he will become more and more boring every day.
Why?
Marxists like Obama have nothing new to say.
The whole sum of human problems, according to the goateed gurus of radical socialism on college campuses, is the unfair distribution of wealth, and the only solution to this 'problem' is coercive redistribution."

Leftist groups plan a riot as Oakland boards up downtown

Zombie » Leftist groups plan a riot as Oakland boards up downtown
"Oakland is boarded up.
Fearing the inevitable riots that will erupt if ex-transit cop Johannes Mehserle isn’t found guilty of murder in the Oscar Grant case, business owners around Oakland’s downtown and other areas of the city have been busy nailing plywood boards over their shop windows to minimize damage and looting.

This essay documents the pre-riot preparations, and also examines to what extent the expected riot is being fomented by left-wing radical groups."

Inadequate Spending?

Inadequate Spending? NetRight Daily
"Specifically Krugman blasted several world leaders (although obviously not the leader of the “free world”) for what he called “preaching the need for belt-tightening when the real problem is inadequate spending.”

And no, that’s not a typo.
He actually said “inadequate spending.”

According to these “New Keynesians,” the unsustainable government growth that preceded the most recent economic downturn apparently wasn’t enough.
Nor was the unprecedented barrage of bailouts, taxpayer-funded guarantees, freshly-printed greenbacks and deficit spending that Washington threw at the problem over the last two years.
And let’s not forget what has been heaped on top of all that “stimulus” spending — a $2.5 trillion socialized medicine plan that represents one of the largest expansions of entitlement spending in American history.

Amazingly, despite the clear failure of the “stimulus” — and despite the fact that excess entitlement spending is what has driven the eurozone to its present precariousness — the rallying cry of these big government backers appears to be “we have only just begun to spend.”

Let’s examine the efficacy of that mantra"
