The Federal Government Owns 61 Percent Of Idaho, 64 Percent Of Utah And 84 Percent Of Nevada
"Did you know that the federal government owns 28 percent of all land in the United States?
Today, the feds control approximately 640 million acres of land, and after decades of very poor management, many are calling on the states to take a larger role.
This is particularly true in the 11 western states where the federal government collectively owns 47 percent of all land.
East of the Mississippi River, the feds only own 4 percent of all land, and there is no reason for such a disparity to exist.
In Connecticut and Iowa, the federal government only owns 0.3 percent of all land..."

"Secret memos show Trump adviser roiled bureau by intervening in agent’s discrimination case before he was targeted in Russia case.
Image result for Special Agent Robyn GritzThe FBI launched a criminal probe against former Trump National Security Adviser Michael Flynn two years after the retired Army general roiled the bureau’s leadership by intervening on behalf of a decorated counterterrorism agent who accused now-Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe and other top officials of sexual discrimination, according to documents and interviews.
Flynn’s intervention on behalf of Supervisory Special Agent Robyn Gritz was highly unusual, and included a letter in 2014 on his official Pentagon stationary, a public interview in 2015 supporting Gritz’s case and an offer to testify on her behalf.
Image result for fbi revenge cartoonHis offer put him as a hostile witness in a case against McCabe, who was soaring through the bureau’s leadership ranks.
The FBI sought to block Flynn’s support for the agent, asking a federal administrative law judge in May 2014 to keep Flynn and others from becoming a witness in her Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) case, memos obtained by Circa show.
Two years later, the FBI opened its inquiry of Flynn.
The EEOC case, which is still pending, was serious enough to require McCabe to submit to a sworn statement to investigators, the documents show..."

(1) Leon Drolet - I chaired an organization listed by the Southern...
Leon Drolet shared WSJ Opinion's post.
"I chaired an organization listed by the Southern Poverty Law Center in the 1990s as a "hate group" when I helped lead a group called the Macomb Coalition of Republicans.
The basis for our "hate" listing was we organized a several peaceful rallies in support of the 2nd Amendment in response to Bill Clinton's gun bans.
The SPLC profits when it reports as much "hate" as possible and their highly partisan donors are exactly that - highly partisan.
I wish there existed a credible, reputable organization that took their mission seriously but the SPLC is not that.
While the SPLC rightly condemns groups like the Ku Klux Klan, Westboro Baptist Church and New Black Panther Party, it has managed to blur the lines, besmirching mainstream groups like the FRC, as well as people such as social scientist Charles Murray and Somali-born Ayaan Hirsi Ali, a critic of Islamic extremism, writes Jeryl Bier.
Its branding of ‘hate groups’ and individuals is biased, sometimes false—and feeds polarization.

The Unbearable Smugness Of Being…A Democrat - Derek Hunter:

Image result for Flicker Commons Images money"Actually, there is a way to get incredibly rich off the poor – it’s by claiming to be their champion. How many liberals have become fabulously wealthy by claiming to be “working for the poor”? They haven’t made a dent in the number of poor people -quite the contrary - but Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, and countless other leftists have ensured their families won’t miss a meal for generations thanks, in large part, to their “championing of the poor.”"

How CNN’s Fake News Machine Ran | Frontpage Mag

How CNN’s Fake News Machine Ran | Frontpage Mag:
"In April, media types were crowing that CNN had brought in Eric Lichtblau who had been, in the Washington Post’s words, at “the forefront of the New York Times’s reporting on the relationship between the Trump presidential campaign and Russia.”
It was “an investment in investigative reporting and the sprawling Russia story”.
It didn’t take long for the investigative investment to sprawl badly.
Lichtblau has resigned from CNN in a growing scandal over a Fake News story about a Trump associate.
"Eric will guide our coverage and thinking," Lex Haris, executive editor of CNN Investigates, had boasted.
"And when he’s onto a investigation, he’ll still be reporting and writing too.”
Not for long. And Haris has joined Lichtblau on the unemployment line after the Fake News scandal.
CNN Investigates had been announced after President Trump’s inauguration.
Its hit pieces had followed the same pattern as the Scaramucci attack that would be its undoing.
Go after a personality tipped for a job with the new administration.
CNN Investigates had previously targeted Monica Crowley and Sheriff Clarke with plagiarism accusations.
But this time around, CNN’s anti-Trump unit had made a big mistake.
Unlike K-File’s petty harassment of Trump associates, the Scaramucci hit piece came from the heavier hitters poached by CNN from mainstream media papers who were supposed to bring down Trump.
The men behind the disaster were no lightweights..."

Five Reasons Why Ridicule Is The Proper Response To Global Warming Alarmists | Stock News & Stock Market Analysis - IBD

Five Reasons Why Ridicule Is The Proper Response To Global Warming Alarmists | Stock News & Stock Market Analysis - IBD:
Image result for climate alarmists"If it seems that the climate radicals are acting desperately because they sense that their "movement" is dying, then that's probably an accurate assessment.
From EPA employees threatening resistance to Donald Trump's presidency to junk-science guy Bill Nye appearing on Fox News to tell the world that humans are fully responsible for "the speed that climate change is happening," the irrational behavior is overflowing.
Of course the alarmists can't give up their shrillness.
They're still bullies who try to marginalize, shame and silence those who don't agree with their narrative that man is dangerously overheating the planet through his greenhouse gas emissions.
But they're the ones who should be mocked.
Here's why:

  • They're wrong. The devastating heat they predicted simply hasn't happened. Climate scientists Roy Spencer, John Christy and others have showed this numerous times.
  • They've hidden their true agenda. The zealots want to destroy capitalism and take over the world's economy. Two years ago, Christiana Figueres, executive secretary of United Nation's Framework Convention on Climate Change, said "this is the first time in the history of mankind that we are setting ourselves the task of intentionally, within a defined period of time, to change the economic development model that has been reigning for at least 150 years..."
  • They're hypocrites. Every year, delegates, many of them on private jets, fly to Davos, Switzerland, for the World Economic Forum, from where they hector the rest of us about our carbon footprints. The busybodies also regularly jet to the U.N.'s global warming conferences, held in such global hot spots as Paris, Cancun, Copenhagen and Milan. Wherever they go, their accommodations are always lavish, their travels well attended to, and their dining sumptuous. Of course their goal is to strip 21st-century comforts from everyone else in the name of "fighting" climate change...
  • They're authoritarians. Merely disagreeing with them is much like disagreeing with the Castros. The clearly deranged Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has said that some climate skeptics should be prosecuted as war criminals. Last March, then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch told the Senate Judiciary Committee that there had been official discussions about prosecuting "deniers."This came at the prompting of Democratic Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse, who has suggested the government use organized-crime laws to go after the same people...

Map Fills 500-Million Year Gap in Earth's Tectonic History | RealClearScience

Map Fills 500-Million Year Gap in Earth's Tectonic History | RealClearScience:
"Earth is estimated to be around 4.5 billion years old, with life first appearing around 3 billion years ago.
To unravel this incredible history, scientists use a range of different techniques to determine when and where continents moved, how life evolved, how climate changed over time, when our oceans rose and fell, and how land was shaped.
Tectonic plates – the huge, constantly moving slabs of rock that make up the outermost layer of the Earth, the crust – are central to all these studies.
Along with our colleagues, we have published the first whole-Earth plate tectonic map of half a billion years of Earth history, from 1,000 million years ago to 520 million years ago.

We now have a map of plate tectonics for the period 1,000-520 million years ago.
The colours refer to where the continents lie today.
Light blue = India, Madagascar and Arabia, magenta = Australia and Antarctica, white = Siberia, red = North America, orange = Africa, dark blue = South America, yellow = China, green = northeast Europe.
The time range is crucial.
It’s a period when the Earth went through the most extreme climate swings known, from “Snowball Earth” icy extremes to super-hot greenhouse conditions, when the atmosphere got a major injection of oxygen and when multicellular life appeared and exploded in diversity..."

The left’s health care rhetoric is unhinged - The Boston Globe

The left’s health care rhetoric is unhinged - The Boston Globe:
"REMEMBER HOW liberal politicians promised to tone down the partisan rhetoric after a heavily armed Bernie Sanders fan opened fire on GOP lawmakers taking batting practice on June 14? Remember how they signed on to a “pledge of civility”?
You don’t remember?
They don’t either.
For no sooner had Senate Republicans released their proposed health insurance bill last week than Democrats were once again dialing the hate speech up to 11.
Before Representative Steve Scalise was even out of intensive care, Democrats were calling his party and its legislation not just “heartless” and “evil,” but downright homicidal.

  • Sanders, in a tweet he later deleted, charged Republicans with “trying to pass a bill that could kill up to 27,000” in order to “give tax cuts to the wealthy.”
  • Senator Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts, in her usual caustic style, said the legislation amounts to “blood money” and that “people will die” if it is enacted.
  • Hillary Clinton added to the slander: “If Republicans pass this bill, they’re the death party.”

So much for dialing back unhinged rhetoric.
The toxic contempt that so many prominent voices on the left bring to the public discourse is by now wearily familiar..."

Fake News: Washington Post Claims Thomas Jefferson Held White House Iftar Dinner to 'Celebrate Ramadan'

Image result for Flicker Commons Images Thomas JeffersonFake News: Washington Post Claims Thomas Jefferson Held White House Iftar Dinner to 'Celebrate Ramadan':

"The establishment media became upset this weekend after President Donald Trump canceled the “White House Muslim Iftar Dinner tradition started by Thomas Jefferson.” But the media is wrong in every respect. Thomas Jefferson never held any Iftar dinner and only three out of 45 presidents ever hosted one, so there is no such “tradition” to cancel."
