'Operation Home Alone': Cop, teacher, minister among those accused of trying to lure teens for sex

"TRENTON –Attorney General Gurbir S. Grewal and Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Dennis Calo today announced arrests of 16 alleged child predators in “Operation Home Alone,” a multi-agency undercover operation targeting men who allegedly were using social media in an attempt to lure underage girls and boys for sexual activity.

Joe Biden started his official 2020 presidential campaign launch with a bang this week by declaring two glaring whoppers in two days.

First was his announcement video which focused on the oft-debunked media-driven lie about President Trump’s response to the August 2017 Charlottesville riots.
The second was his declaration that the Obama-Biden administration was scandal-free.

Biden made the absurd claim on a Friday segment of ABC‘s “The View” program. Newsbusters has the transcript of the former veep talking fondly about his former boss:

BIDEN: The thing I’m proudest of is we coincidentally were each in a different part of the country and we were each talking to groups of people that were being televised, the same day, purely coincidentally we were asked what are you proudest of from your administration? At a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing Wednesday, Republican senators asked Attorney General William Barr if he is investigating whether or not it was Democrats who were colluding with Russia.
“How do we know the Steele dossier is not itself evidence of Russian disinformation?” asked Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas.
He was referring to the anti-Trump, opposition-research document funded by the Hillary Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee. It was used by the Obama administration as evidence to obtain permission to spy on the Trump campaign.
The chairman of the committee, Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., said he hopes to deal with the Russian interference issue in a bipartisan manner.
“But when the Mueller report is put to bed and it soon will be, this committee is going to look long and hard on how this all started,” he said. “We’re going to look at the FISA warrant process. Did Russia provide Christopher Steele with information about Trump that turned out to be garbage, that was used to get a warrant on an American citizen? And if so, how did the system fail?”

Grassley sent a letter to Barr on April 25 inquiring whether the Justice Department is investigating leaks to the media regarding several stories involving the Russia investigation. Grassley noted a leak to The Washington Post on April 11, 2017, regarding the existence of a classified surveillance warrant against former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page.
Barr did not identify which leaks are being investigated.
“We have multiple criminal leak investigations underway,” Barr told Grassley.

55% of the teachers surveyed said they did not teach about climate change in their classrooms. 65% replied that it wasn’t related to the subject(s) they taught and 17% said the didn’t know enough about climate change to teach it…

My hunch is that 97% of teachers, including the 45% who “teach” about it, are insufficiently familiar with the science to teach it.

Instead of having English teachers focusing on climate change, maybe they should just teach English…

But then again, you can get, like, an Ivy League degree in, like, economics, you know, like by speaking this way. You can even, like, get elected to Congress, like you know, whatever…
