MSNBC Rant: Republicans Are Terrorism-Supporting 'White Nationalists'
"MSNBC contributor Dean Obeidallah said Sunday all Republicans are white nationalists who defend terrorism.
“In the GOP today, you’re either defending a terrorist or you’re out of the GOP. That’s where they are,” said the host of SiriusXM Progress’ “The Dean Obeidallah Show.” “It’s the party we’re dealing with. They’re not a political party, they’re a white nationalist movement. They’re a fascist threat to our nation. That’s not hyperbolic, that’s academic.”...Read all.

Intended to incite anger?-----Report: Detroit police using guns more often during arrests
"...The number of times Detroit police have used force has dropped slightly this year — though they're using their guns and pulling the trigger "substantially" more than they did last year, according to a report released at Thursday's Detroit Board of Police Commissioners meeting.
So far this year, the city has seen 17 so-called Category 1 incidents, which involve the most serious use-of-force tactics, including shooting suspects, striking them with a Taser or using a force that leads to death, broken bones or loss of consciousness. This includes pepper spraying a person who is detained, which is prohibited by police.
Of the 17 most serious use-of-force incidents, nearly half involved guns. Category 1 incidents are up 70%, from 10 last year to the current number of 17, which include:
- 1 fatal shooting
- 2 nonfatal shootings
- 2 shots fired
- 3 unintentional discharge of a weapon
- 5 Taser incidents
- 1 critical vehicle pursuit
- 4 other
"There really weren’t any substantive changes (in use-of-force incidents) … however, there was a substantial increase in gun-related arrests in 2021 compared to 2020," DPD director Reid Branche-Wilson told the commissioners in explaining the quarterly report.
Wilson attributed the rise in Category 1 incidents to an increased use in Tasers and officers unintentionally discharging their weapons, though his report did not say whether the use-of-force incidents were justified or not...Read all.

Fauci Now Says He's 'Not Convinced' Coronavirus Developed Naturally
Dr. Anthony Fauci reversed course May 11, claiming he is “not convinced” the Chinese coronavirus developed naturally and that its origins merit investigation.
“No, actually. … No, I’m not convinced about that. I think that we should continue to investigate what went on in China until we find out to the best of our ability exactly what happened,” Fauci said during an interview when a PolitiFact reporter asked, “There’s a lot of cloudiness around the origins of COVID-19 [Chinese coronavirus] still, so I wanted to ask, are you still confident that it developed naturally?”
They've been lying all this time???-----Intelligence on Sick Staff at Wuhan Lab Fuels Debate on Covid-19 Origin - WSJ
- Report says researchers went to hospital in November 2019, shortly before confirmed outbreak; adds to calls for probe of whether virus escaped lab
The details of the reporting go beyond a State Department fact sheet, issued during the final days of the Trump administration, which said that several researchers at the lab, a center for the study of coronaviruses and other pathogens, became sick in autumn 2019 “with symptoms consistent with both Covid-19 and common seasonal illness.”
The disclosure of the number of researchers, the timing of their illnesses and their hospital visits come on the eve of a meeting of the World Health Organization’s decision-making body, which is expected to discuss the next phase of an investigation into Covid-19’s origins...Read all!!
Local "news" just a biased as national news...only dumber!-----John Oliver Fools Local Broadcast News Programs Into Promoting “Ridiculous” Fake Product
John Oliver Fools Local Broadcast News Programs Into Promoting “Ridiculous” Fake Product
- John Oliver on Sunday’s Last Week Tonight focused his main segment on the amount of sponsored content creeping into local news broadcasts under the guise of news.
“It is far too easy to make a ridiculous product that makes outlandish claims and get it onto local TV,” he said. “And the reason I know that is, we did.”
The show’s production team set up company called “Venus Inventions,” makers of the “Venus Veil,” described as “the world’s first sexual wellness blanket.”
They also created a website and hired an actress to ”brand-egrate the shit” out of the product into “shows it had no business being on.”
ABC4 in Utah took the bait, and ran a segment on it Friday. Oliver showed highlights from the broadcast.
Oliver said it was very easy to get the segment on the air and noted that the staffer interviewing the actress promoting the product was the station’s chief medical correspondent.
“It seems striking she didn’t have any follow-ups on claims we made about the veil that you would hope a medical correspondent would immediately take issue with,” he said...
