Electric cars are a Trojan horse for the destruction of driving

Electric cars are a Trojan horse for the destruction of driving - Ross Clark
"...Since January this year, UK major car manufacturers have been under an obligation to ensure that at least 22 per cent of the new vehicles they sell are pure electric.
  • If they fail, then for every non-electric car they sell they could be fined £15,000.
  • The 22 per cent proportion will then rise every year until it reaches 80 per cent in 2030.
...The only real option car-makers will have is to stop us buying petrol or diesel cars by withdrawing them from the market – as Ford has already done with the Fiesta
I wouldn’t be surprised if some car-makers chose to give up on the UK market altogether...
Unfortunately, the push to electric may drive them off the roads.

Colorado Turns Schools into Welfare Agencies as Thousands of Needy Migrant Children Enroll

Denver and other Colorado communities have transformed schools into welfare agencies as tens of thousands of children of illegal border crossers flood into the state’s schools, where they get free food, clothing, shoes, healthcare, and education at taxpayers’ expense.

The Washington Post reported the transformation of the Centennial State’s schools from educational facilities to full-on welfare agencies where kids of all ages — many of whom have never gone to school in their entire lives — are enrolled by the thousands.

The report explained that Smith "wanted to hide the fact that the National Archives had several conversations with the Biden White House." Presidents keeping papers from their presidential years is not uncommon. In fact, even vice presidents do it, documented by Biden's stashes of classified documents in his home, office and even boxes in his unsecured garage. Further, Trump Vice President Mike Pence also was found to have had such documents, but no charges were filed.

Election interference?

Facebook probably could offer a good how-to course, given that a new study has confirmed the web giant did exactly that – 39 times since 2008.

Now being used to "fix" our climate?

Something odd about those campus tent encampments.

I think it would be instructive if we can determine who that someone is. - Tom Scharre.
"Almost all the tents are identical - same design, same size, same fresh-out-of-the-box appearance.
Which suggests that rather than an organic process, whereby students would bring a variety of individual tents, someone or some organization has supplied them and organized the event.
I think it would be instructive if we can determine who that someone is.
Because rather than spontaneous demonstrations, these are choreographed events by hidden actors - and the students, sincere though they may be, are merely manipulated props.

Remember when we used to believe in their "science"?

Scientific American pushes claims that science-based critiques of gender ideology are 'misinformation,' 'violence' | Blaze Media

Scientific American pushes claims that science-based critiques of gender ideology are 'misinformation,' 'violence' | Blaze Media

In an effort to overcome or at the very least sidestep the common citizen's common sense, social constructivists have in recent decades attempted to mask their reality-defying philosophy in the language of science. The trouble with this effort is that when exposed to actual scientific scrutiny, their claims have altogether failed to hold water. That has become especially clear in recent months where even Britain's National Health Service has pumped the brakes on so-called "gender-affirming care." Faced with the collapse of their narrative, ideologues have worked to villainize critics and to reframe the debate about gender. On Friday, one such attempt was made in the pages of Scientific American, a 178-year-old science magazine published by the German-British Springer Nature Group.

Michigan lawmakers repeal 'harsh' restriction on getting driver's license
LANSING, Mich. (FOX 2) - It will now be easier for some in Michigan to get a driver's license after lawmakers passed an amendment to the state's vehicle code.
Before HB 5103's passage, someone who had been convicted of multiple moving violations within the past three years couldn't obtain a driver's identification.
The prohibition was an "unnecessary roadblock for thousands of Michiganders" the Secretary of State said after the bill's passage, which removed the restriction...

NFL Owner Cuts Funding for Columbia University After Anti-Israel Protests - 'No Longer an Institution I Recognize':

As Columbia University wallows in a seething stew of anti-Semitic hate, New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft said he will no longer send money to the New York City campus.

In a statement released through his Foundation to Combat Antisemitism, Kraft said, “[T]he school I love so much — the one that welcomed me and provided me with so much opportunity — is no longer an institution I recognize,” according to Fox News.

“I am deeply saddened at the virulent hate that continues to grow on campus and throughout our country. I am no longer confident that Columbia can protect its students and staff, and I am not comfortable supporting the university until corrective action is taken,” he said.
