Bad optics: Walmart scandal exposes deeper immigration hiring abuses * WorldNetDaily * by Amanda Bartolotta
Europe's open borders, welfare largess has it facing disaster: Will it shift course?
Until recently, that is...
- Too many immigrants are arriving too quickly, without sufficient diversity, language fluency, skills or familiarity with the customs and culture of their host nations...
- Yet there is no European plan of civic education to assimilate immigrants and teach them the rules, laws and culture of their hosts.
- It is then no surprise that what follows is ghettoization, resentment and loud attacks on the very nation in which they seek sanctuary, denouncing it as decadent and godless...

Europe in the Balance? | RealClearPolitics
Until recently, European politicians and the media sought to either ignore such news or accuse those who clamored for tighter borders, more police protection, and stiffer penalties of being "racists" or "xenophobes."
Until recently, that is.
- Mass protests are now common in Britain against the Labour Party's open borders policies and generous welfare entitlements for immigrants who arrive illegally and without authentic "political refugee" status.

- If any other mental condition produced a pattern of murder, we would collectively discuss and decide on strategies to help those ailing.
- No one may point out that gender dysphoria is often a symptom of a much larger mental health problem.
- The American Medical Association, a professional group of physicians that has become a wholly political entity in the last few years, only suggests one path, that of “gender-affirming care” — and urges that “forgoing gender-affirming care can have tragic health consequences, both mental and physical.”...

Victor Davis Hanson: Leftists Push Harmful Racial Stereotypes and Face No Consequences
A few years ago, a prominent writer for The New Yorker magazine regularly posted hateful things about white people on her social media.
It’s potentially very damaging when individuals say these kinds of things from positions of influence and power—such as a former MSNBC anchor and The New Yorker magazine writer—and aren’t called out for it.
- This double standard is certainly noticeable because if white people said any of this about other ethnic groups, there would be zero tolerance for that kind of rhetoric.

Instapundit - IT’S A BIG DEAL WHEN THE WASHINGTON MONTHLY IS ADMITTING THIS:
In the Washington Monthly’s 2025 Best Colleges for Your Tuition (and Tax) Dollars, seven Florida universities rank in the top 100 (out of more than 1,400 schools)...And 10 of the top 20 colleges on the Monthly’s Best Bang for the Buck ranking for the Southeast are in Florida.
Why do so many Florida universities do so well on the magazine’s rankings? Part of it is that Florida is a populous state with lots of universities. But Michigan and Pennsylvania have about the same combined population as Florida (23 million). Yet only two Pennsylvania colleges, both private—Haverford (19) and Swarthmore (37)—make the top 100 in the Monthly’s Best Colleges for Your Tuition (and Tax) Dollars, and none from Michigan do.
Of course, they’re quick to inform us that it has absolutely nothing to do with Ron DeSantis. - Glenn Reynolds

If a president really wanted to be an authoritarian, he might:
- Force Americans to buy a product under penalty of law (Obamacare).
- Engage the FBI to lie about a laptop they knew was real to sway an election.
- Use a federal agency (OSHA) to mandate private company employees to take experimental vaccinations and force military and government employees to take an unproven vaccine or be fired.
- Mandate residents to remain at home except for essential activities (e.g., California’s Executive Order N-33-20, issued March 19, 2020, by Governor Gavin Newsom). He might even arrest people for paddleboarding alone in the ocean (Newsom), arrest a man with for playing in an empty public park with his own kids (Polis), maybe threaten people for sitting outside on their own front porch (Walz), or padlock public parks and fill up skateparks with sand when being outside was one of the safest places to be.
