Yes, Virginia. Republicans have moonbats too......
New York Post Online Edition: news: "The Post also disclosed that McFarland had occasionally voted at both her Southampton and Manhattan addresses in violation of the state Election Law, which allows ballots to be cast from only address.
It was also revealed this week that there are several discrepancies in McFarland's resume and that she had falsely claimed to be the highest-ranking woman in the Pentagon at a time when two other women held higher-ranking posts. "
What is it with the super rich?
Monster weekend for Michigan sports fans

These foxes were in the Championship game last year!
As the fourth-seeded Michigan State women prepared to head to Bridgeport, Conn., for their NCAA tournament game Sunday night against No. 1 seed Duke, they faced a quandary: How to pack?
One win from another National Championship for the GVSU gals!
GVSU women: It's our turn: "Or will Grand Valley State University be wearing yet another NCAA Division II crown?"
"Spartan Hockey is a number 1 seed.
Greenandwhite.com: Spartans relaxed and ready: "The No. 1-seeded Spartans (24-11-8) open the East Regional against No. 4 New Hampshire (20-12-7) at noon today"Link: http://www.greenandwhite.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20060325/GW/603250346/1023
And Michigan's amazing run in the NIT.

Last month I noticed a mistake on my cell phone bill. I called the company to inquire and got the dreaded machine. It cost me more in minutes browsing menus than the discrepancy. From now on, I will visit the Gethuman Database first.
With this site, find the code to go straight to a person on the phone. Some are as easy as pressing "0". Others make you jump through hoops. But there is always a way."

What, no outrage? Double standard time, again.
Woman pleads guilty in Steele credit report case - baltimoresun.com: "A former Democratic staffer pleaded guilty today to computer fraud for snooping on Lt. Gov. Michael S. Steele.
Steele -- a Republican running for U.S. Senate -- was notified by Democrats in Washington that a staffer used Steele's Social Security number to obtain his credit report last year"
This report ignores an "unimportant" fact. Steele is black. Yes, I know it isn't really germane, but imagine if he was a black democrat....... imagine...... Where's Perkie Katie when a black GOPer needs her?
"Loney and Sooden?"
My Way News: "Loney and Sooden start trip home.
LONDON (Reuters) - Freed Canadian hostages Jim Loney and Harmeet Sooden headed to Baghdad airport on Saturday to begin their journey home from Iraq, a colleague said....
The two were freed by British-led special forces on Thursday along with fellow Christian peace campaigner Norman Kember, who flew out of Iraq on Friday.....
Relief at his escape was tempered by senior British military criticism that Kember had apparently failed to thank the soldiers who rescued him and his colleague"I am slightly saddened that there doesn't seem to have been a note of gratitude for the soldiers who risked their lives to save those lives," British Army chief General Michael Jackson told Channel 4 news on Friday.
Does something wierd happen to people who are named "Loney" or "Sooden"?

More bad news for Wikipedia fans
Dvorak Uncensored: Remember that study by Nature that proved that Wikipedia is as reliable as Encyclopedia Britannica? It probably wasn't true:
I've never liked the way they present their "facts". Google works best for moi.
Republican environmentalist? No way......
Mlive.com: "Muskegon County Commissioner Robert Scolnik said he will take the proposed phosphorous ban to county commissioners by June 1. Scolnik said he will propose enacting the ban in 2007, which would give local retailers time to sell their existing stock of phosphorous-based fertilizers.
"I don't see any reason not to do this,' Scolnik said. "
Scolnik is a Republican. It must annoy the Commissars at the Chronicle to print his party affiliation, so they conveniently left it out. Now you know.
Disgusting!
Math teacher hit; charges sought against 2 students: "Muskegon High School Principal Kent Nolen suspended the two students for 10 days.
Shirley McLemore, the school's director of pupil services, is reviewing the incident and could extend the suspensions or recommend that the school board expel the two ninth-graders. Such action, if it occurs, is likely before the 10-day suspensions expire. "
I don't want to see this headline. These thugs should never see the inside of any public school again! Let's see how the system "works"..
MoonBat alert!
BREITBART.COM - Democrats Say Bush Violated Constitution: "The Senate version of the bill said Medicare can pay to rent some types of medical equipment for 13 months, as intended by congressional negotiators. A clerk erroneously wrote down 36 months before the bill was sent back to the House for a final vote, and that's what the House approved Feb. 1. "
Gotta give them moonbats credit for consistant idiocy.....
Phone bill going up?
The Five Dumbest Things on Wall Street This Week: "Some investors are getting teed off at Verizon
This week, the New York telco filed 2005 executive-pay data with regulators. CEO Ivan Seidenberg took home more than $19 million in cash, stock and perks, up 13% from a year ago. His salary alone jumped 40% to $2.1 million. "
And VZ stock is near a 10 year low.....

Jimmah?
Statesboro Herald: "Requiring voters to show a free photo identification is just one of several changes the U.S. electoral system needs to catch up with most of the rest of the world, former President Carter said Wednesday."
Without question, his best idea. Will the rest of the obstructionist Democrats follow?
On the news tonight?
ABC News: Iraq Archive Document Describes Bin Laden Meeting: "(Editor's Note: This document is handwritten and has no official seal. Although contacts between bin Laden and the Iraqis have been reported in the 9/11 Commission report and elsewhere, (e.g. the 9/11 report states 'Bin Ladn himself met with a senior Iraqi intelligence officer in Khartoum in late 1994 or early 1995) this document indicates the contacts were approved personally by Saddam Hussein. "
About time!
Michigan Senate votes to take away powers of elections board:
LANSING, Mich. Republicans in the Michigan Senate have approved legislation stripping powers from the state elections board.
The move is a backlash against Democratic board members who've been criticized for the way they handled an anti-affirmative action ballot measure."
Last year, the Democratic board members initially refused to comply with a court order to place a constitutional amendment banning some affirmative action programs on this November's ballot.
The Democrats were breaking the law! Where's the outrage? Yeah, right....

If so, why are conservatives happier?
How to spot a baby conservative: "Remember the whiny, insecure kid in nursery school, the one who always thought everyone was out to get him, and was always running to the teacher with complaints? Chances are he grew up to be a conservative.
At least, he did if he was one of 95 kids from the Berkeley area that social scientists have been tracking for the last 20 years. The confident, resilient, self-reliant kids mostly grew up to be liberals."
But they said we conservatives were happier!

SOXBLOG: "WE KNOW WHY THE LEFT wants to call what's going on in Iraq a civil war. The impulse to call it a civil war comes from the same place the that the need to trumpet every car bomb that exploded in Iraq came from. The people calling it a civil war do so for the same reason that they rallied around an overtly anti-Semitic lunatic like Cindy Sheehan.
The left wants to embarrass the Bush administration"

TCS Daily - Newspapers in Trouble?: "It was just a year ago that I predicted -- to considerable consternation and censure from the press -- that most major newspapers would be dead or dying by the end of this decade. Apparently, I was being conservative"

Council criticized for new contract lacking King holiday: "Norton Shores City Council members got more flak Tuesday for failing to establish Martin Luther King Jr. Day as a holiday when they approved a five-year contract with department of public works employees.
Members of Muskegon Community Solidarity who attended the council's meeting continued their pressure on the council to recognize the national holiday celebrated around the assassinated civil rights leader's birthday, which was Jan. 15. Solidarity wants employees to be given the day off -- a change city staff said would cost $29,000 annually unless traded for another employee holiday."
Imagine if Solidarity cared as much for educating the kids in Muskegon Heights as they care for an extra day off for NS workers. Imagine......

WSJ.com - Microsoft Delays Windows Vista Debut Again: "Microsoft Corp. said it is delaying its long-awaited Windows Vista operating system, a decision that could cause headaches throughout the $200 billion personal-computer industry.
The Redmond, Wash., software giant, which had been expected to begin selling Vista in October, said it will begin offering a version of the product for businesses in November. A consumer version will become broadly available in January, said James Allchin, co-president of Microsoft's platforms and services division."

'CNN has far fewer viewers than it did in the past, and we feel that our brand was getting lost and diluted,' GALLUP claimed in an internal memo, obtained by the DRUDGE REPORT. "

World-record bass pulled from Lake Dixon: "The bass weighed 25 pounds, 1 ounce on a hand-held scale, which if approved would shatter the world record, the 22-pound, 4-ounce bass caught by George W. Perry at Montgomery Lake in Georgia in 1932. "

Heights paper's attacks draw outrage: "Muskegon Heights Councilwoman Bonnie McGlothin said Monday she plans to sue a Muskegon Heights newspaper over a political cartoon that depicted her wearing a collar and a leash. "
Um, Bonnie. No one reads the Muskegon Tribune. No one saw your cartoon. Now you are famous....doh!
