Navy Expands Body Fat Rules Beyond Obesity

Navy Expands Body Fat Rules Beyond Obesity | The Daily Caller:
So many sailors are getting kicked out of the Navy for failing to pass fitness tests that the service has decided to expand allowable body fat rules to accommodate the obese.
The Navy officially changed body fat regulations in January and is now extending a hand to sailors who have flunked fitness tests three or more times, despite frequent use of diet pills and liposuction, The Associated Press reports.
These obese sailors, whom the Navy refers to as “talented,” will get one final chance to succeed.
A total of 2,400 sailors will have their failure rate marked down to just one failure.
New regulations allow as many as two failed attempts.
...Upward movement in the percentage of allowable body fat shows that the Navy is willing to allow obese sailors, both male and female, to remain in the service, based on ACE’s definition.
...Still, Navy Secretary Ray Mabus has refused to refer to the shift as a downgrading in standards, instead preferring to call it an adjustment to reality.
...Other services in the military are having similar conversations about physical standards.
The Army is considering lowering standards, so that it doesn’t lose its crucial cyber-warriors..."

Peaceful memorial rally in Ann Arbor honors lives of 63 deer killed | MLive.com
ANN ARBOR, MI — Four dozen peace activists gathered Saturday afternoon in downtown Ann Arbor for a memorial rally honoring the lives of 63 deer recently killed by hired sharpshooters in the city's parks and nature areas.
The mood was somber, and hearts heavy.
"We are doing a public call to peace," said Ann Arbor resident Shunahsii Rose, memorial rally organizer and founder of In Sacred Balance.
"In a universal capacity, we're asking Ann Arbor to return to a path of peace, and this particular day we are offering a memorial to the deer that have been shot as a result of the Ann Arbor deer cull," she said.
"People who are here are from many different spiritual traditions and different communities, and I felt like it was important to have an interfaith acknowledgement of the longing for peace in our city."
Standing in a circle on the Library Lot next to the downtown library, they offered prayers, sang songs and passed a heart-shaped memento featuring an image of a deer as they shared their thoughts and reflected..."

‘Whoa’: Glenn Beck Pulls Out Unexpected Prop During ABC Interview, Stuns Anchor With Trump Comparison | Video | TheBlaze.com:

“Whoa — Donald Trump is Adolf Hitler?” Stephanopoulos interjected.

Beck responded by saying that Trump has been “playing to the lowest common denominator and to the anger in us” — but he qualified his claim by suggesting the comparison focuses on who Hitler was in 1929, not the murderous tyrant of the Nazi Germany in the 1940s.

“[Hitler] was a kind of funny, kind of character that said the things that people were thinking,” Beck said of the leader’s early political career. “Where Donald Trump takes it, I have absolutely no idea. But, Donald Trump is a dangerous man with the things he’s been saying.”

IMPORTANT READ!!-----We aren't ready for the lights to go out

Glenn Reynolds: We aren't ready for the lights to go out:
The preppers aren't the only ones worried anymore about a debilitating attack on the U.S. power grid.
Could it be lights out for America?
That’s something that people are starting to worry about, and these worries aren’t coming solely from the usual crowd of survivalists and preppers.
Shut down the computers that run the power plants and distribution systems and you shut down America.
That’s looking more possible, lately.
One of those worrying is former ABC News anchor Ted Koppel, whose new book, Lights Out: A Cyberattack, A Nation Unprepared, Surviving the Aftermath, looks at the danger of losing electrical power due to a cyberattack.
The picture Koppel paints isn’t a pretty one:
Cities, unpowered for weeks and months, could become largely uninhabitable.
But, says Koppel, nobody is thinking about this very clearly:
“It would be comforting to report that those agencies charged with responding to disaster are adequately prepared to deal with the consequences of a cyberattack on the grid.
They are not.”
...Well, that’s comforting, though not especially surprising:
If the government flubs its response to natural disasters like Katrina or Sandy, when storms are a regular occurrence, how likely is it to deal well with something that hasn’t happened to the United States before?
Nor is a cyber-attack on the power grid just a fantasy.
In fact, in Ukraine (which I fear is a laboratory for new warfare techniques the way Spain was in the 1930s), it’s already happened.
As Wired magazine recently reported, someone — most likely someone Russian — shut down Ukraine’s power grid with a hack attack that sounds like something out of a thriller movie:
...Somewhere in a region outside the city he knew that thousands of residents had just lost their lights and heaters.”
The hackers didn’t just turn things off — they overwrote firmware on critical devices, making it impossible for operators to control them from control centers.
And, lest Americans think that our system is less vulnerable, the Ukrainian control systems were actually quite secure, separated from the regular Internet and protected by robust security systems. American networks are, in some ways, more vulnerable..."

Student's Knife Alarms Some at Cal State Long Beach
"California State University at Long Beach on Thursday said that it has taken seriously an incident in which a faculty member saw a student with a small knife, in class, and asked him to leave and notified authorities.
On social media, the incident was described by some as a threat by the student against a black female student in a class on gender and race issues.
Many on social media have questioned why Cal State didn't alert the campus to danger or take further action against the student.
The university statement does not reference many of the details claimed on social media.
But the university says that the incident remains under investigation by campus and local officials, and that a threat assessment determined no immediate threat."

Refugee Resettlement Watch
"B is for bigot! R is for racist! X is for xenophobe! (S is for silly!)
bishop_11We are all xenophobes now—any governors with concerns about a state’s right to control the resettlement of expensive (and potentially dangerous) refugees to their states, you, me, and of course Donald Trump.
So, when did the Founding Fathers approve of Bishop Eusebio Elizondo (as chairman of the USCCB Committee on Migration) receiving millions of your tax dollars to make decisions about which third world migrants are placed in your states? Bio and photo:http://www.seattlearchdiocese.org/archdiocese/auxiliaries.aspx
You can read the whole thing yourself, that is not why I’m posting it—the No Borders Left, including the NYT editorial board, continues their tired old name calling, ho hum (not worth mentioning).
But there is one little line in the editorial that I found interesting, but apparently the great minds at the NYT have no concern for the FACT that the US Conference of Catholic Bishops is deciding which refugees go where.

Who ELECTED the Bishops?

Obviously the Times doesn’t give a flying c*** about States’ Rights or what governors think, but how can they justify the fact that NO elected official or legislative body is making a decision to foist expenses on state and local taxpayers, change the cultural make-up of American towns and possibly endanger people.
Here is the line I found so troubling, but apparently the NYT does not:

….in fact resettlement decisions are made by mainstream social agencies like the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops.

The US Conference of Catholic Bishops and its subsidiaries (Catholic Charities) are federal contractors paid millions upon millions every year by YOU to resettle refugees in your communities with no opportunity for you to question those decisions.
The Founding Fathers could not have imagined such a thing when crafting our Constitution.
Have a look at a 2014 Annual Report for the USCCB Migration Fund.  Citizen taxpayers are paying the majority of the Bishops’ budget. And note that, in addition to the $79.5 million in federal grants and contracts, that the over $3 million in ‘travel loan collection fees’ is also your money (in a budget of $85.9 million).
They could not exist without their hands in your wallets!

New Film Exposes the Real End Game of the Democratic Party | Glenn Beck

New Film Exposes the Real End Game of the Democratic Party | Glenn Beck:

"His prolonged exposure to the criminal underclass provided a new perspective in American realities. In the view of hardened criminals, America is anything but fair and just. Instead, it is a jungle in which various armed gangs face off against one another.

Applying this hardboiled perspective to American politics, D’Souza saw that the biggest and most powerful gangs inhabiting America are within the federal government. The trailer for his new film provides a shocking glimpse into the case he makes about the seedy underbelly and hidden truth of the Democratic Party."

Can we survive more of her moronic "judgement"?-----Role of Hillary Clinton in Libya war exposed

Role of Hillary Clinton in Libya war exposed — RT USA:
New light is being shed on the role presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton played as secretary of state in the 2011 military intervention in Libya, with more than 50 officials from the US, Europe, and Libya speaking out to The New York Times.
The report features many of those directly involved in the mission that overthrew the former Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi, portraying Clinton as a catalyst in the decision to go to war.
Beginning in Spring 2011, NATO carried out a bombing campaign for seven months, leaving Libya a failed state overrun by extremist groups.
The official government now only controls the eastern portion of the country, with Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL), Ansar al-Sharia and local militant groups controlling other areas.
In the run-up to the intervention, however, Clinton became convinced that overthrowing Gaddafi would lead to a democracy, according to multiple sources interviewed by The New York Times.
...“I’ve always thought that Hillary’s support for the broader mission in Libya put the president on the 51 side of the line for a more aggressive approach,” Gates said.
Gates urged for the opposite, he told the newspaper, telling Obama and others that the Pentagon already had enough on their plate.
“Can I finish the two wars I’m already in before you guys go looking for a third one?” Gates recalled saying..."

Multiple Young Boys Requiring Surgery After Being Raped In Calais ‘Jungle’ Camp

Multiple Young Boys Requiring Surgery After Being Raped In Calais ‘Jungle’ Camp - Breitbart:
"Doctors and medical staff have confirmed that at least seven boys, aged between 14 and 16, have been raped inside the so-called ‘Jungle’ migrant camp in Calais.
In four of the cases the boys had been abused so brutally they required surgery.
Three of them declined treatment, however, because of fear repercussions and losing their honour.
Stock of man standing aggressively over manMedical volunteers based near Calais made the revelations to the Independent.
They said that all of the boys had injuries consistent with the crimes they had reported.
A General Medical Council (GMC) registered doctor later confirmed knowledge of all of the cases.
There was thought to be dozens of unaccompanied migrant children in the illegal ‘Jungle’ camp until recently, and in January, a senior representative of Europol estimated that 10,000 such children had gone missing within Europe.
The shocking revelations have led to fresh concerns around the lack of child protection in the camps, as well as the difficulty of policing the lawless settlement of stateless people.
Widespread crime and violence, which overspills into the nearby town, was part of the reason the southern side of the camp has now been dismantled.
As demolition teams moved in, the camp descended into “guerrilla warfare”, with huts set on fire and journalists attacked..."

Everything You Need to Know About the VW Diesel Emissions Scandal

Everything You Need to Know About the VW Diesel Emissions Scandal – News – Car and Driver | Car and Driver Blog:
General Motors and Toyota had their massive scandals. Now it’s Volkswagen’s turn. The company, which owns 70 percent of the U.S. passenger-car diesel market, is in major trouble for cheating on diesel-emissions tests. After years of promoting “Clean Diesel” as an alternative to hybrid and electric vehicles—the company even marched on Washington with a squadron of Audi TDI models—Volkswagen is stewing in its own toxic vapors. Here’s our handy guide to what’s happening.
What happened?
Volkswagen installed emissions software on more than a half-million diesel cars in the U.S.—and roughly 10.5 million more worldwide—that allows them to sense the unique parameters of an emissions drive cycle set by the Environmental Protection Agency. According to the EPA and the California Air Resources Board, who were tipped off by researchers in 2014, these so-called “defeat devices” detect steering, throttle, and other inputs used in the test to switch between two distinct operating modes.
In the test mode, the cars are fully compliant with all federal emissions levels. But when driving normally, the computer switches to a separate mode—significantly changing the fuel pressure, injection timing, exhaust-gas recirculation, and, in models with AdBlue, the amount of urea fluid sprayed into the exhaust. While this mode likely delivers higher mileage and power, it also permits heavier nitrogen-oxide emissions (NOx)—a smog-forming pollutant linked to lung cancer—that are up to 40 times higher than the federal limit. That doesn’t mean every TDI is pumping 40 times as much NOx as it should. Some cars may emit just a few times over the limit, depending on driving style and load.
Which cars are affected? Will my car pass state inspection?
The following Volkswagen, Audi, and Porsche diesel models have been cited by the EPA for emissions violations. There is no recall and the cars pass all state inspections, at least for now. Remember, VW has admitted to violating federal emissions laws, and as such, it’s neither a state nor a safety issue. However, if Volkswagen does issue a recall, some states (particularly California and some that follow Partial Zero Emission Vehicle standards) may prevent owners from renewing their registration if they don’t complete the fix.

Trump insisted on including Jews and blacks at Palm Beach golf course in 1990s

Trump insisted on including Jews and blacks at Palm Beach golf course in 1990s - NetRight Daily
“When Donald opened his club in Palm Beach called Mar-a-Lago, he insisted on accepting Jews and blacks even though other clubs in Palm Beach to this day discriminate against blacks and Jews.
The old guard in Palm Beach was outraged that Donald would accept blacks and Jews so that’s the real Donald Trump that I know.”
...So Trump shot back with maximum effect.
As reported by the Washington Post’s Mary Jordan and Rosalind Helderman on Nov. 14, 2015: “Trump undercut his adversaries with a searing attack, claiming that local officials seemed to accept the established private clubs in town that had excluded Jews and blacks while imposing tough rules on his inclusive one.”
The Washington Post report continues, “Trump’s lawyer sent every member of the town council copies of two classic movies about discrimination: ‘A Gentleman’s Agreement,’ about a journalist who pretends to be Jewish to expose anti-Semitism, and ‘Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner’ about a white couple’s reaction to their daughter bringing home a black fiancé.”
Sometimes, in judging the character of an individual, it pays to see what people actually do when nobody’s really paying attention.
When it came to segregation in the South at private, all-white country clubs, it might have been in Trump’s business interests to simply look the other way.
Instead, Trump did the right thing and insisted on desegregation at his golf resort.
And he won.
Soon thereafter, the local restrictions were lifted and, today, the golf course is open and remains inclusive..."

The lawsuit quotes Hite as saying, "As Jim Jones once did within our state, he led a group of people into a place of no return.
We don't want that to happen again in this state."
Jones started the Peoples Temple in Indianapolis and eventually relocated to California and then Guyana, where more than 900 of the cult leader's followers died by murder or suicide in 1978..."
