National Suicide

Freedom is indeed dying and the fundamental transformation of America continues.  The latest blow however, did not come directly from the Democratic Party, the Progressive Left or Socialist loving, crybaby college kids.  No, this time it came from within the party; Republicans who are rightfully angry.  I’m afraid the anger, although understood, will cause more harm than good.

The GOP is only as strong as the people we elect and it’s falling apart.  The GOP has been unable to fully stop the Executive and in some cases they seem to help push the agenda of the Left.  This has created much anger among conservative Americans.  The result of so much anger has divided and all but destroyed the party.  If it should survive, it will probably be in name only, a shadow of its former self.  This is just one more casualty due to the fundamental transformation of America.

The Left will cheer because they feel conservative Republicans are to blame for all that is wrong in our country. They are in for a very rude awakening.  Cheering for one party, because there will no longer be obstacles, will serve as yet another nail in the coffin being constructed for the United States of America.

What would have happened if there wouldn't have been any road blocks?  We lost a lot of ground but Republicans did manage to slow down a want-to-be-dictator.  Of course, most wanted to stop him in his tracks, not just slow him down.  This has caused much unrest within the party and may have given the Democratic Party the perfect storm to continue its destructive agenda.   

What does history tell us about nations that have adopted a one party political system of government?  It's not pretty.  In fact, it is quite the opposite.  Thanks to our self-destruct mode, we are much closer to discovering the true reality of what an enslaved nation really means.  We are committing national suicide.....

“Members of [Tau Kappa Epsilon] are prohibited from wearing black and red paint, wigs/and or clothing items that mimic or depict an ethnicity or culture. Failure to comply with the expectation will result in immediate removal from the event, and additional student conduct sanctions,” warns an email allegedly sent to the president of TKE, whose name was removed from the email for purposes of anonymity.

Traditionally, members of TKE and four other fraternities at Millikin paint their faces with each organization’s respective colors as part of an annual recruitment event. 

Some students, however, apparently complained about the event this year, alleging that face-painting is disrespectful to certain cultures and ethnicities..."

Although not as visible, another gender debate has been in the works for years. 
That debate has to do with whether or not there is value in separating the sexes in the classroom.
Scientists have examined this topic for years and come up with a variety of conclusions.
But the latest finding suggests that separating the sexes can have a number of benefits – at a cost-effective price.
Published by Northwestern University, the study involved several disadvantaged public schools in Trinidad and Tobago that were transitioned from coed schools to single-sex institutions over a period of several years.
The study found that the change improved test scores in a number of subjects for both boys and girls, providing the same benefits as students would have had in “going from a teacher at the 6th percentile of teacher quality to one at the 50th percentile of teacher quality.”
In addition to higher test scores, the study found that single-sex classrooms resulted in the following:

• Increased the tendency of students to take and succeed in advanced placement courses
• Increased high school graduation rates
• Decreased the likelihood of male arrests
• The study augments earlier research that showed that single-sex education encourages better attendance, participation, and behavior in class.

Separating the sexes in school won’t solve every educational woe in the American system, but if there are empirical benefits such as those cited above, does single-sex education perhaps deserve a second look?"

The MI First Home program also is available to past homeowners who lost their homes to foreclosure and have restored their credit for at least three years, according to Mary Townley, MSHDA's director of homeownership.
The program, which is funded through the sale of bonds, is enjoying a resurgence in the past two years as the state's housing market recovers and its residents re-enter the housing market after The Great Recession.
...While homebuyers welcome the extra cash at closing, it's not costing the taxpayers anything, Elsenheimer said.
Money for the program is raised through the sale of tax-free bonds by the state.

So to shampoo hair you have to get a full-scale cosmetologist license, which takes even longer and costs even more..."

#2 The inventory to sales ratio is now back to near where it was during the depths of the last recession.  This means that there is lots and lots of unsold stuff just sitting around out there, and that is a sign of a very unhealthy economy.
#3 Corporate earnings have declined for four consecutive quarters.  This never happens outside of a recession.
...#5 In April, commercial bankruptcies were up 32 percent on a year over year basis, and Chapter 11 filings were up 67 percent on a year over year basis.  This is exactly the kind of spike that we witnessed during the initial stages of the last major financial crisis as well..."

Attendees argued that there is a limit to the type of speech that is acceptable, but could not agree on how that limit should be determined or enforced.

A Hispanic student from the School of Education began by declaring that “I refuse to take up [the] identity” of “American” because “this country has decided to take it upon itself to identify as an entire hemisphere,” which he called “the most blatant microaggression in the context of this country.”

Instead of American, the student said he identifies as Latinx, queer, socioeconomically disadvantaged, and from Southern California. Later, recounting the time he told his mother he was queer, he noted her response of “I love you. Do you need to speak to a counselor?” “as if though my sexuality’s…some mental health problem that I had to deal with.”...

Guido Menzio, an economist at the University of Pennsylvania, was pulled off of an American Airlines regional jet from Philadelphia to Syracuse because he was doing math.

Flight from Philly to Syracuse goes out on the tarmac, ready to take off. The passenger sitting next to me calls the stewardess, passes her a note. The stewardess comes back asks her if she is comfortable taking off, or she is too sick. We wait more. We go back to the gate. The passenger exits. We wait more. The pilot comes to me and asks me out of the plane. There I am met by some FBI looking man-in-black. They ask me about my neighbor. I tell them I noticed nothing strange. They tell me she thought I was a terrorist because I was writing strange things on a pad of paper. I laugh. I bring them back to the plane. I showed them my math.

It’s a bit funny. It’s a bit worrisome. The lady just looked at me, looked at my writing of mysterious formulae, and concluded I was up to no good. Because of that an entire flight was delayed by 1.5 hours.

I’d note that this is an hour and a half delay on a flight that’s scheduled at 1 hour 5 to 1 hour 21 minutes. It’s fortunate for him that he was ultimately allowed to fly. Frequently passengers that are removed are put on later flights even when there’s nothing of real concern.

This just underscores the idiocy of “see something, say something.” 
As Bruce Schneier often says, when you encourage amateurs to do security you get amateur security..."

The visitor must be told if the inmate has hepatitis C, or other infectious diseases.
But if the Tennessee prison system discovers a convicted rapist has hepatitis C, no one will alert the victim who was raped and possibly contracted the deadly disease.
...a physician who specializes in hepatitis C told The Tennessean the chances of transmission through sexual contact go up when the contact is violent.
Notifying victims is one of several steps prisons and state health officials could take to help address a hepatitis C problem that experts inside and outside Tennessee prisons acknowledge has reached epidemic levels.
But in a Tennessee prison system where drugs and violence are common, hepatitis C testing is poor and outdated treatment practices amount to what some consider willful ignorance, thousands of infected inmates are set to return to their communities carrying a deadly disease.
At the same time, an unknown number of victims continue to live unaware they may have contracted hepatitis C from their assailants."
