It has been reported that of the 50 people who died in the Orlando massacre, about half of them were killed by their attacker inside of a bathroom.

The problem is that most people never consider the possibility that they’ll ever be faced with a deadly threat.
To their detriment, they never personally war game such a scenario.
While running is an option, it may not be possible when all hell breaks loose.
In the following article from The Market Ticker, author Karl Denninger outlines the threat, your options, and what you absolutely must do if you want to survive.

If confronted with overwhelming and superior force by an assailant who appears to be intent on killing you the only logical position you can adopt and the view you must adopt is that you are dead right there, right now.
Is attempting to flee in such a situation practical?
Maybe, if you can actually flee.
But “to flee” means getting well clear (beyond quick-action firearm range) and do so using cover and/or concealment so you cannot be assaulted during the process.

I’ve shot pistols before, but never something like an AR-15. Squeeze lightly on the trigger and the resulting explosion of firepower is humbling and deafening (even with ear protection).

The recoil bruised my shoulder. The brass shell casings disoriented me as they flew past my face. The smell of sulfur and destruction made me sick. The explosions — loud like a bomb — gave me a temporary case of PTSD. For at least an hour after firing the gun just a few times, I was anxious and irritable.

Even in semi-automatic mode, it is very simple to squeeze off two dozen rounds before you even know what has happened. In fully automatic mode, it doesn’t take any imagination to see dozens of bodies falling in front of your barrel.

Other than the fact that Gersh Kuntzman was

apparently holding the rifle incorrectly,
firing it incorrectly,
made an incorrect (and shameful) claim about having PTSD,
was incorrect that Mateen used an AR-15 in the Orlando terror attack,
and was incorrect about being able to purchase a fully automatic “tactical machine gun,”

this is a totally accurate piece he’s written for the Daily News."

The training will address “topics such as identity, culture and micro-aggressions,” the newspaper reported.
The State Journal defines the term “microsaggressions” as “seemingly minor or unintentional slights that contribute to a hostile atmosphere for people of color.”
While the training may be limited to about 1,000 students this fall, it will be mandatory for all incoming students by next year, the State Journal reported. The report did not say how much the expanded program might cost in the future..."

Homophobia is not a reasonable objection to the deficiencies of modern gay culture, but a profound and even homicidal desire to harm gays because of their sexual preferences.

"Over the past few years, those of us who have opposed various efforts of gay activism—such as the endeavor to redefine marriage to include same-sex couples—have gotten used to being called “homophobic,” a word that denotes an irrational and prejudiced fear of homosexuals but has often been affixed to anybody who voices any objections to the gay activist agenda.

This strategy, needless to say, has coarsened and debased our public discourse, mostly because it is more a tactic of shame than a real argument: if you can label someone a bigot instead of actually engaging his position, it makes things much easier for you.
It is quite likely that many people with objections to, say, gay marriage have remained silent, and understandably so, for fear of being labeled “homophobic.”
Yet conscientious moral opposition to the gay agenda does not by itself signify homophobia.
If you wish to see real homophobia—the genuine article, not the intellectually exhausted fashionable buzzword the Left trots out at every possible opportunity—look to yesterday’s mass shooting in Orlando, Florida, in which 50 individuals were murdered inside a gay nightclub.

Political Advocacy Doesn’t Equal Supporting Murder
The anti-gay impulse is unfortunately prevalent throughout a large amount of the Muslim world: ISIS is notoriously brutal towards gays, and a great many Muslim-majority countries punish homosexual behavior with anything from prison time to death.
In the United States, a pizzeria can decline to cater a purely theoretical gay wedding on religious grounds, and the pizzeria instead of the gay activists face public backlash.
In Somalia, however, a man might be put to death for having sex with another man.
One of these things represents homophobia; one of them does not..."

The most unhinged anti-Trump street riot so far occurred on June 2 outside his rally in San Jose, CA. Mexican flags were waved, Trump hats were burned, women were pelted with eggs and water balloons, men were sucker-punched, and white Trump supporters were chased and attacked like beasts of prey.
In every case, assailants or their enablers were seen waving Mexican flags, a symbol of the fierce pride that was sorely insulted by Trump’s candidacy.
Is this the behavior of people who are truly proud, or is it a collective tantrum by people who are secretly ashamed?

Why is this brilliant?
Republicans have tried to ignore the racist label or laugh it off.
That doesn’t work.
When someone libels you, being defensive is fatal.
Trump is smarter.
He goes on the offensive.
Talk to black voters yourself, directly, and with heart.
Republicans have made the answer be “no” by writing off the black vote.
Republicans fail when they talk in bromides about opportunity and think blacks will feel included.
Trump wasn’t just promising money; he went on to attack the failure of inner-city Democratic regimes and offer a conservative critique of black suffering.

Regulation, bureaucracy, government control and open borders have economically destroyed our inner cities. Her [Clinton’s] policies will be a crushing blow to all poor people in this country. Her education policies, her economic policies, her immigration policies and her trade policies will plunge our poor African American and Hispanic communities into turmoil and even worse, despair—believe me, you look at what’s going on..."

Mayor Beth Van Duyne made a public Facebook post stating that she backs the new Texas law which prohibits any kind of foreign law from being practiced in the state of Texas.

After calls, threats and toddler-like demands to apologize from the Muslims who attempted to form the Sharia tribunal along with representatives from the Council on Islamic-American Relations, a known front for the Muslim Brotherhood, the mayor never once backed down.
There were a multitude of illegal activities taking place behind the attempted formation of the Sharia court, including the fact that all four of the “voluntary” Sharia lawyers were not licensed to practice law in Texas — that’s a third degree felony.
The rules of the Sharia court had different guidelines for women and men, with typical Islamic humiliation tactics to be used against women, which is constitutionally illegal.
The Sharia court “lawyers” also conveniently failed to inform the city of Irving that they were operating a court inside of the town — again, illegal.
...Their response was in typical radical Islamic fashion.
“We don’t care about the bill.
It’s not going to affect us in any way, shape or form.
The bottom line is the foundation of this bill is anti-Islamic,” Sheikh said.
During the city vote to support the Texas bill, which passed by a 5-4 vote, members from CAIR were present, attempting to intimidate the crowd by alleging that the bill was “anti-Islamic” and used words like “bigotry” and “Islamophobia.” (H/T MadWorldNews)

TRAVERSE CITY, MI -- A no-contact order has been issued for four popular Traverse City beaches and two waterways after an estimated 3,000 gallons of untreated sewage leaked into Grand Travers Bay Saturday, Upnorthlive reports.
The television station reported the county health department issued an advisory stating a 12-inch main discharged the sewage, but it did not detail how that happened.
The sewage leaked about 2 p.m. Saturday near Cedar Street and the effluent entered West Bay.
The health agency issued no-contact orders for:
• Clinch Park Beach
• Sunset Park Beach
• Bryant Park Beach
• Traverse City Senior Center Beach
• Kids Creek near Cedar Street to the Boardman River
• Boardman River near Wadsworth Street to the mouth of West Grand Traverse Bay
The order will remain in effect until further notice, the Traverse City Ticker reported.
The county has contacted the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality and those agencies will work with the city to make repairs.

Recently, I was on a call with the CISO of a customer whose CEO’s account had been hacked.

The CISO and his team were trying to understand how this had occurred, and, following a short investigation, we discovered that the hacker had been able to compromise the CEO’s password via the company’s software solution that enables end users to reset forgotten passwords.
After reviewing logs and other audit mechanisms, we determined that the hacker had used the solution’s self-service password reset (SSPR) capability to reset the CEO’s password.
Once the password was reset, the hacker had free reign over the CEO’s account.
...A few days later, I had the opportunity to create an account on a third-party system that used SSPR for password reset, and -- based on my earlier conversation with the customer -- saw the questions I was asked to answer in a completely different light.

"On June 2nd, 2016, the United States military suffered two accidents that have stirred much commotion in the aviation community.

In the morning, Thunderbird #6, Major Alex Turner, ejected from his F-16, ditching the plane into an empty field in Colorado Springs.
He landed safely and there were no casualties.
A few hours later however, tragedy did strike.
The Blue Angels were practicing for an airshow in Tennessee when the #6 plane also crashed. Piloted by Captain Jeff Kuss, his plane fell from the sky as some footage showed.
As of right now, the investigation is underway, but eyewitness’ reports and logistical results indicate the Kuss did not eject and stayed with the plane in order to steer it way from populated areas.
He died a hero."
