In addition to the reduction in the general fund contribution to the airport operations, the change will provide another employee to assist with snow removal from the airport's runways during the winter months.

And doesn't hiring two employees to replace one also mean that the county's taxpayers will be supporting two part timers on unemployment when they're laid off?

Blacks are discovering that what a man or woman does -- their actions -- is what matters, not the color of their skin.
It seems ridiculous to point out that this was supposedly the point of the civil rights movement. Purge racism from America.
But blacks themselves have been the ones having the hardest time letting it go.

When the motel opened in April 1964, it was the top of the local market. Among the first guests was former Vice President (and future President) Richard M. Nixon, who stayed at the brand-new Holiday Inn during a Muskegon visit June 8, 1964, to speak at a Republican fund-raiser.

I think sentient Democrats are watching their party's chances in 2012 slip away, and had they not made such a big deal of claiming all opposition to Obama was racist in motivation and effect (see, e.g., this) , they would now be urging him to quit and seeking a new contender for his office.
Like Coleridge's ancient Mariner, however, they can only stand on deck with that albatross around their neck watching both the White House and the Senate slip from their grasp just as did so many state governorships and the House of Representatives.

The Rev. John Lankeit, rector of the cathedral, said he made the decision in hopes of promoting the priesthood for males and other religious vocations, such as becoming a nun, for females.

But Schultz cut off the Perry clip before the words "that debt" and asserted flatly, "that black cloud that Perry is talking about is President Barack Obama."
