Stick to Netflix, Barack, and keep up the fiction, Bubba - Washington Times
Stick to Netflix, Barack, and keep up the fiction, Bubba - Washington Times:
"And then, finally, there is the erstwhile peddler of Hope and Change. That turned into Grim and Blame during his eight years in office. Now that he and his entire godless agenda has been rejected by voters, Barack Obama has become a washed up, elderly rock star who can no longer play or sing.
Watching the man who would gut his unpopular — not to mention un-Constitutional and un-American — agenda assume office, Mr. Obama reflected: “Sometimes I wonder whether I was 10 or 20 years too early.”
Again, the modesty. Really, sir, you are killing us with your modesty."

I never watch television.
Its news is a waste of time, with well-groomed, overpaid readers and hokey camera coverage that takes an hour to cover what 10 minutes of a well-written article can better convey.
Take the news coverage itself: The EU is falling apart, the talks with North Korea are on and it looks like war will be averted and another country denuclearized, and the Mueller investigation seems more ridiculous than ever.
The economy looks so strong that even the NYT’s Neil Irwin conceded words were almost inadequate to describe an economy so strong that it was adding 223,000 jobs in a month, an unemployment rate falling to 3.8 percent, an 18-year low.
Contrast this with what this week’s news has been emphasizing.

Compare all the coverage of the royal wedding in Britain with the far more important story that a reporter was secretly jailed for 18 months because he was standing outside a UK courtroom describing the trial of what is euphemistically called men who “groomed” young girls, when the actual description is Muslim men raping and sex trafficking young girls under the averted eyes of the state apparatus tasked with protecting them.
Read all!!!The primary issue is that for years the British state allowed gangs of men to rape thousands of young girls across Britain. For years the police, politicians, Crown Prosecution Service, and every other arm of the state ostensibly dedicated to protecting these girls failed them. As a number of government inquires have concluded, they turned their face away from these girls because they were terrified of the accusations of racism that would come their way if they did address them. They decided it wasn’t worth the aggravation..."

"A B.S. STATISTIC THAT ALMOST THE ENTIRE MEDIA WORLD RAN WITH: Did exactly 4,645 people die in Hurricane Maria?
Nope.
Nope.
In effect, the researchers took one number – 15 deaths identified from a survey of 3,299 households – and extrapolated that to come up with 4,645 deaths across the island. That number came with a very large caveat, clearly identified in the report, but few news media accounts bothered to explain the nuances.
That’s because they’re hacks, and thought it might make Trump look bad. Instead, of course, it just bolsters his “fake news” narrative. Because, you know, it’s basically fake news.
Here’s what they actually found:
Does your study say that 4,645 died? The answer: “No. We provide a 95% confidence interval of 793 to 8,498, and 4,645 falls in the middle of this range.”
Between 793 and 8,498 is a range so broad that it’s basically meaningless.
But hey, narrative..."

“The baristas are already doing five or 10 things, including taking out the garbage and cleaning the bathrooms,” said Prater.
“We’re already struggling to provide the bare minimum of customer service, so when you throw in this, how do we even do this? This is a lot.”...

"Visa demonstrated the drawbacks of a cashless society yesterday when a hardware failure prevented cardholders across the UK and Europe from making purchases.
The company has clarified that the error, now fully resolved, had nothing to do with hackers.
Millions of people were left unable to pay for goods and services across Europe after the unprecedented crash, which began at around 2.30pm.
Visa apologized late on Friday, saying it had fallen "well short" of its goal to ensure cards worked reliably at all times."
