Gowdy blasts Comey for fixing Hillary case

Gowdy blasts Comey for fixing Hillary case:

Image result for flickr commons images trey gowdyGowdy, a Republican from South Carolina, noted Comey softened his initial statement on the Clinton investigation findings, changing her actions from “grossly negligent,” using the language of the criminal statute, to “extremely careless.”
“We see Jim Comey and Jim Comey alone deciding which DOJ policies to follow and which to ignore,” Gowdy said.
Gowdy, noting Comey took action to trigger a special counsel in the Russia matter, questioned why the FBI directordidn’t seek a special counsel to investigate Clinton’s use of a unsecure email server to transmit classified information.
“Instead, he appointed himself FBI director, attorney general, special counsel, lead investigator and the general arbiter of what is good and right in the world according to him,” Gowdy said.

Feminist Philosopher Explains Jordan Peterson's Biggest Mistake, Makes a Bigger One - Hit & Run : Reason.com

Feminist Philosopher Explains Jordan Peterson's Biggest Mistake, Makes a Bigger One - Hit & Run : Reason.com:
See the source image"...But while Peterson might be wrong about what causes mass shootings, Manne is certainly mistaken about who commits them.
By blaming this angst, she writes, Peterson "takes on a huge burden of explaining why white women, people of color, nonbinary folks, and so on, almost never act on our existential angst and despair in this way. Because, as you know, the vast majority of school shooters have been white men."
Yes, most mass killers are white—but white people represent three-quarters of the U.S. population.
If anything, mass killers are disproportionately non-white.
According to Slate's Daniel Engber, who parsed Mother Jones's mass shooting database earlier this year, about 56 percent of mass shooters are white:
...Perpetrators that Mother Jones classifies as Asian make up 7.4 percent of the data set, versus an estimated 5.7 percent of the population, while those MoJo identifies as black represent 17.0 percent of the mass shooters in the database versus an estimated 13.3 percent of the population.
According to this data set, then, Asians and black Americans are overrepresented among mass shooters by about the same proportion (a bit more than one-fourth) that whites are underrepresented.
That database covers mass shootings in general (and is flawed in that it probably undercounts mass shootings that happened further back in time). It might be more accurate to say that Columbine-style mass shootings specifically committed in schools are disproportionately perpetrated by white people, but there have only been 8 of those kinds of attacks—shootings in which at least four people were shot to death in a school—since 1996.
Schools are actually so safe that it's pretty useless to make statistically sound racial generalizations about the kinds of mass murders committed there..."

CO2 shortage hits Europe - Ice Age Now

CO2 shortage hits Europe - Ice Age Now:
Image result for co2 kills“Bizarre news story of the shortage in Western Europe of food-grade carbon dioxide,” says reader Robert Boon.
“The fertilizer and chemical plants which produce the gas as a bi-product shut down for annual maintenance and the soft drinks and the brewing industry fear a shortage of the gas.”
Here’s how Gasworld.com puts it:
“In what has been described as the ‘worst supply situation to hit the European carbon dioxide (CO2) business in decades’, many consumers of CO2 – especially the carbonated drinks producers – are desperate for supplies of the product.”

He Survived Nazi Concentration Camps – His Message On Border Security Will Silence The Media | The Daily Caller:

Image result for flickr commons images Concentration CampTuck said that after the American Army freed him, he desperately wanted to move to America. It took five years of recuperation, paperwork and applications but Tuck finally made it to America in 1950. He has lived here ever since.
“They want to come to America. So did I,” Tuck says of the immigrants entering the country illegally today. “But you have to know who is coming in. It is wrong to separate the kids from the parents. But to call it a concentration camp? That is wrong. It’s a country club.”

No, Not Everybody You Hate Is a Nazi | Trending

"...But I do find it strangely reassuring that no matter what happens, our moral, ethical, and intellectual betters on the left will always brand the targets of their outrage du jour as Nazis.
For example, a few weeks ago, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement tweeted the following:
...But wait! Everybody knows that ICE is bad, so there must be a reason this is bad. Did you notice the tattoos on that guy's arm? Actor and genetic anomaly Ron Perlman sure did:

I know I’m a leftist, “D List” actor, so my twitter feed is probably deceiving me, but is that an iron cross tattooed on this hero’s arm? This is a mistake, right? Cuz the Iron Cross was a symbol of Nazi Germany.
...As it turns out, Ron Perlman was wrong.
That is not an Iron Cross on that guy's arm:
...Oh. Well, why would that stop anybody from calling him a Nazi? Their feelings don't care about his facts.
The whole moronic debacle got started by Talia Lavin, a "fact-checker" for the New Yorker. The magazine has apologized for the error, but I still want to know what they're paying their "fact-checkers" to do all day. This seems like a fact that would've been pretty easy for Lavin to check, but she didn't even bother.
Why didn't she bother? Why did she just assume the worst? Does she even know?
Perlman has apologized as well, sorta:

U.S. Disaster Zones: Are You Living In A Place Where Disasters Are Common?" | Zero Hedge

U.S. Disaster Zones: Are You Living In A Place Where Disasters Are Common?" | Zero Hedge
"With constant media bombardment of fears of a nuclear war, many have begun to prepare for a disaster
But government uncertainty isn’t the only thing on the minds of the masses.
Volcanic activity appears to be increasing and earthquakes seem to be getting more severe.
That begs the question: do you live in a disaster zone?
In just the past 16 years, parts of Louisiana have been struck by six hurricanes
Areas near San Diego were devastated by three particularly vicious wildfire seasons.
And a town in eastern Kentucky has been pummeled by at least nine storms severe enough to warrant federal assistance.
These are obvious red flag areas, but what about the rest of the country?
The New York Times has put together a map showing which areas in the United States were subjected to the most disasters which caused monetary losses by ZIP code between 2002 – 2017.
The statistics for living in the “red zones” in the above map are not comforting either.
About 90 percent of the total losses across the United States occurred in ZIP codes that contain less than 20 percent of the national population, according to an analysis of data from the Small Business Administration..."

Where Have All the Children Gone? | Intellectual Takeout

Where Have All the Children Gone? | Intellectual Takeout:
"It’s summer vacation, but you might not know it from the absence of children on streets and sidewalks, in parks and public spaces.
Just as afternoons and weekends during the school year are more void of children than ever before, so too is summertime.
Where are all of these young ones?
See the source imageIncreasingly, they are contained in structured, adult-led, often indoor activities where they are told what to do, what to think, and how to act.
Those play-filled afternoons with the neighborhood kids we remember from childhood?
Gone.
Those long summer days outside with friends, roaming in woods or water?
A quaint memory.
Today, for many children, nearly every waking hour of their day is orchestrated by someone else.
Free, unstructured, unsupervised childhood play in our public spaces is an artifact of a by-gone era.
...Quiet neighborhoods aren’t the only consequence of this trend away from natural childhood play. Mounting evidence reveals a rise in childhood mental health issues as children’s play declines..."

Why the OIG Report Should Scare the Hell Out of YouThe American Spectator

Why the OIG Report Should Scare the Hell Out of YouThe American Spectator:

Image result for Democrat DonkeyIn other words, the Democrats want to win in November to protect corrupt executive branch departments from their boss. That would be Donald Trump, who won the presidency in a free and fair election. This is what should scare you about the OIG report. The Inspector General is not merely afraid of reprisals from the most powerful government police organ on the planet, his report hedges his bets because he isn’t sure that our democratically elected representatives are going to win the war they are fighting with the deep state. He knows that if the Democrats win in November, the deep state will devolve into a police state.
