"Dilbert cartoonist Scott Adams does not vote.
But for the first time, he said Sunday, he is thinking about it — thanks to the effort by opponents of Donald Trump to ostracize people who support the president.

Adams, who predicted Trump would win the 2016 election en route to becoming an influential political writer, was reacting on his daily Periscope broadcast to “conservative” Washington Post columnist Jennifer Rubin, who defended a Virginia restaurant owner who ejected White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders on Friday.

“This doesn’t end well,” Adams said, calling her position “anti-free speech,” in the sense that people would no longer feel free to disagree with one another.

“If citizens can do what government used to be able to do, which is censor … Free speech is no longer practical. It’s still legal, but no longer practical.”

He noted that former CA director Gen. Michael Hayden had also compared the president to Hitler and his supporters to Nazis.

“I’m not a Republican and I don’t vote,” he said.

“But because I’ve been labeled as a Trump supporter … I’ve stopped appearing in public … because of the physical danger.”

If a “Blue Wave” appeared in November, and Democrats won the U.S. House and impeached the president, “I think it would be a dangerous situation for Trump supporters, wouldn’t you?” Adams observed.
“And I’m feeling like the best reason for Republicans to vote is they’re coming for you next. And they’re not hiding it. They’re coming for Trump right now, but they’re making it pretty clear they’re coming for Trump supporters next,” he said.

“The one and only way to protect yourself is to make sure they lose the election,” he concluded...

Among the things people hate about Washington is that no matter how many higher-ups are alleged to have broken laws and violated ethics codes, few are held accountable. The fix was in on Hillary Clinton even before she was interviewed with two of her lawyers present, which the IG report says violated accepted practices.
Mr. Horowitz and Mr. Wray are now testifying before the Senate Judiciary Committee. While Democrats will categorize the IG report as nothing, Republicans must burrow in and get even more facts than the disturbing, even disgusting ones he has already uncovered. The Justice Department should then hold accountable those people who broke the law and the rules.

Freeland and Prime Minister Justin from Canada, then strategized with Emmanuel from France and Angela from Germany on how they were going to use the G7 to embarrass President Trump on trade conflict issues via the summit; and subsequent use of media press conferences. The entire thing back-fired, bigly. President Trump announced the tariffs would continue until trade reciprocity improved.

It’s been two weeks since the best-laid-scheme was attempted.

If and when the left regains power, do not think for a minute that leftists will work to bridge our differences.

Back in the days of Ronald Reagan, the brash and cantankerous reporter with the worst toupee in television history made his name by yelling at the president.

He’d yell at him at White House events, on the South Lawn (where Reagan would pretend he couldn’t hear Donaldson over the chopper blades of Marine One), even in the Rose Garden.
His aggressiveness (read: bad behavior) made Donaldson one of the first “star” reporters at the White House.
(He was voted best television correspondent in 1986, ‘87, ‘88 and ‘89 by readers of the Washington Journalism Review.)
Sure, there had been other famous reporters (early Helen Thomas, Bill Plante, Merriman Smith), but all of them conducted themselves with the proper decorum and respect when covering the White House.
Since then, it’s only gotten worse. Bill Clinton got a pass from the mostly liberal mainstream media, but when George W. Bush took office, the White House press corps went to hell..."
