Maxine Waters & Trump Protests: Where's The Line? | National Review
"There is no limiting principle on leftist fury.
American politics is taking a dangerous turn.
Or, I should say, American politics is taking a dangerous turn again.
In the space of a few days last week, leftist protesters
Maxine Waters calls for attacks on Trump administration: "If you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd and you push back on them, and you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere."...

Or, I should say, American politics is taking a dangerous turn again.
In the space of a few days last week, leftist protesters
- individually targeted Trump aide Stephen Miller,
- taunted Secretary of Homeland Security Kirstjen Nielsen in a restaurant and at her home,
- mocked (and allegedly spat at) Florida attorney general Pam Bondi at a movie theater, and
- denied service to Trump press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders at a restaurant in Lexington, Va.
- Then, on Sunday, Democratic congresswoman Maxine Waters said this:
Maxine Waters calls for attacks on Trump administration: "If you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd and you push back on them, and you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere."...

Is that normal? What to expect during a visit to the gynecologist
"Is that normal?
What to expect during a visit to the gynecologist
It can be difficult for patients to tell when a doctor’s behavior crosses the line from uncomfortable to inappropriate, especially during a woman’s first exam. (Lori Shepler / Los Angeles Times)
A visit to the gynecologist is an important part of a woman’s medical care.
But more than other types of checkups, the exam puts patients in a vulnerable position of intimate scrutiny..."

Doug Ross @ Journal: HATE MACHINE: How Liberals Became the Very Fascists They Always Warned Us About
"Before the election, we were told that Trump was a Nazi and his jackbooted thugs would take over and put people into camps and treat them as nonhumans.
That is, to do what was only done previously in America by Democrats.
Society is more divided now than at any time since the Civil War.
Society is more divided now than at any time since the Civil War.
People hate other people because of who they voted for.
People are even choosing friends and breaking apart from family members based on who they supported in the last election.
Beyond Facebook unfriending, relationships are impacted.
It’s based on fear, disappointment, and hatred, and it seems to be all coming from one side.
Leftists said if Trump won, that there’d be violent mobs of hate, and intolerant fascists would try to silence those with whom they disagree.

Cynthia Nixon: ICE Has Frankly Turned Into a 'Terrorist Organization,' Calls for Its Abolition
Cynthia Nixon: ICE Has Frankly Turned Into a 'Terrorist Organization,' Calls for Its Abolition:
Actress and New York Democratic gubernatorial candidate Cynthia Nixon called U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) a "terrorist organization" on Thursday.
Nixon also called for the law enforcement agency's abolition.
"ICE has strayed so far from its mission. It's supposed to be here to keep Americans safe but what it's turned into is frankly a terrorist organization of its own, that is terrorizing people who are coming to this country," Nixon said to NY1.

"Little House on the Prairie" Author's Name Removed from Book Award | The Digital Reader
"Following several years of quiet debate, a division of the American Library Association has announced that it will be changing the name of its children book award.
From The Guardian:
The board of the Association for Library Service to Children (ALSC) made the unanimous decision to change the name on Saturday, at a meeting in New Orleans. The name of the prize was changed from the Laura Ingalls Wilder Medal to the Children’s Literature Legacy Award. The association said Wilder “includes expressions of stereotypical attitudes inconsistent with ALSC’s core values”.The first award was given to Wilder in 1954. The ALSC said Wilder’s work continued to be published and read but her “legacy is complex” and “not universally embraced”.Wilder was born in 1867 and died in 1957. She is best known for her eight Little House on the Prairie novels, about pioneer life in the American West, which were published between 1932 and 1943.
Scholars have been discussing the racism in Laura Ingalls Wilder's books for decades, but it was only in the last few years that the issue started getting widespread attention for the racist attitudes toward Native Americans as well as the racist cultural references toward African Americans.
It was only a matter of time before her name was removed from the award, and frankly, I am surprised those books are still being used in schools - they amount to cultural propaganda and should not be taught to impressionable minds. They present an idealized version of a period of American history that glosses over the many darker aspects of that period, so much so that the racism is only the first problem with the books..."

Spitting Lefty Protesters Hound FL AG Pam Bondi Out of Movie Theater

Fla. Attorney General Pam Bondi escorted out of Tampa theater. Image via You Tube.
"Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi had to be escorted out of a Tampa theater screening of the Mister Rogers documentary "Won't You Be My Neighbor?" by police Friday night due to screaming protesters who hounded her throughout the building.
Enraged at Bondi over her recent actions on health care policy and her stance on immigration, the activists created what the Fla. AG's spokesman called a "volatile scene," getting into Bondi's face, blocking her exit, and spitting on her.
Timothy Heberlein of Organize Florida took the video of Bondi leaving the theater flanked by law enforcement, the Tampa Bay Times reported.
"What would Mister Rogers think about you and your legacy in Florida? Taking away health insurance from people with pre-existing conditions, Pam Bondi!" Maria José Chapa, a labor organizer, screeches at Bondi in the video. "Shame on you!
"You're a horrible person!" another protester bellows.
