U.S. voters, by a 2-1 margin, are opposed to allowing illegal aliens to vote in elections, according to a new poll.
Rasmussen Reports asked, “Should illegal immigrants be allowed to vote if they can prove that they live in this country and pay taxes.”
The question went to 1,000 likely voters between July 19 and 22.
“San Francisco is allowing non-citizen parents and guardians of children, including illegal immigrants, to vote in the upcoming school board elections,” the report said.
But the poll found that “doesn’t fly for most voters nationwide,” even if “Democrats are receptive to it.”

Calling themselves “progressives,” many people today readily accept most or all of these myths as the truth. 

Filled with socialist yearnings, they have become a new force to be reckoned with in American politics.

• Myth #1 — The false story of a heroic beginning to socialism — as a popular uprising by an oppressed people against social injustice and the cruelties under the Tsar.

In truth, the Russian revolution did not really begin until after the military coup that brought the Bolsheviks to power on Nov. 7, 1917. 

The coup was an almost bloodless event — “as easy as picking up a feather,” Lenin admitted.

"Too many "scientists" have too much grant money and too much computer time on their hands, thanks to the tens of billions of dollars in grant money ($32.5 billion from 1989 to 2015, according to the Science and Public Policy Institute) that the federal government has been dispensing for "climate change research."  
Put together a proposal to find a new scary correlation, and odds are you'll be bringing in the federal cash, to the delight of your university (that gets to appropriate a third or so of the grant for "overhead").  
That's why we have hundreds and hundreds of bad things that global warming (or climate change) supposedly will cause.

The San Francisco Chronicle has the latest claim, one that bears the imprimatur of Stanford University.

More people are likely to take their own lives as the planet warms, say researchers at Stanford University and UC Berkeley in a study published Monday that suggests yet another worrisome impact of climate change.

The multidisciplinary research team looked at nearly 1 million suicides in North America and found that hotter temperatures correlate with higher suicide rates...

Given the awkward “pause” in global warming that has been ongoing for the last two decades, and the uncertainty of correlation as causation claims, this sounds like a pretty far-fetched cause for worry.

The launch was announced in May, and founder Marc Raibert recently said that by July of next year, Boston Dynamics will be producing the SpotMini at the rate of around 1,000 units per year. The broader goal, as reported by Inverse, is to create a flexible platform for a variety of applications. According to Raibert, SpotMini is currently being tested for use in construction, delivery, security, and home assistance applications. The SpotMini moves with the same weirdly smooth confidence as previous experimental Boston Dynamics robots with names like Cheetah, BigDog, and Spot."
