"The United States could soon become a large-scale Spain or Greece, teetering on the edge of financial ruin.
That’s according to Donald Trump, who painted a very ugly picture of where this country is headed. Trump made the comments during a recent appearance on Fox News’ “On the Record with Greta Van Susteren.”
According to Trump, the United States is no longer a rich country.
“When you’re not rich, you have to go out and borrow money.
We’re borrowing from the Chinese and others.
We’re up to $16 trillion in debt.”
He goes on to point out that the downgrade of U.S. debt is inevitable.
“We are going up to $16 trillion [in debt] very soon, and it’s going to be a lot higher than that before he gets finished.
When you have [debt] in the $21-$22 trillion, you are talking about a downgrade no matter how you cut it.”
Ballooning debt and a credit downgrade aren’t Trump’s only worries for this country.
He says that the official unemployment rate of 8.2 percent “isn’t a real number” and that the real figure is closer to 15 percent to 16 percent. 
He even mentioned that some believe the unemployment rate to be as high as 21 percent.
“Right now, frankly, the country isn’t doing well,” Trump added, “Recession may be a nice word.”"

"That points to a plan to allow insurance companies to begin assessing for “climate risk” in certain industries, a more market-focused approach to discourage industries from emitting large amounts of carbon dioxide.
Some of the people who may be “penalized” for adding to climate risks, however, are workers in plants and factories all over the rust belt of the United States.
While they recognize the need to mitigate the effects of climate change, some believe this shouldn’t come to the detriment of industries and traditional blue-collar workers.
“It is a fact that global warming threatens our planet. 
Scientists are as certain of this as they are of the dangers of smoking or riding in a car without a seatbelt,” said Tony Montana, spokesman for the local United Steelworkers union in Pittsburgh.
“Declaring “war” on entire industries, such as coal, oil, or natural gas, however, is not the answer.
These industries created and supported a way of life for workers and their communities for generations.”"

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, criticized for manipulating temperature records to create a warming trend, has now been caught warming the past and cooling the present.
July 2012 became the hottest month on record in the U.S. during a summer that was declared “too hot to handle” by NASA scientists.
That summer more than half the country was experiencing drought and wildfires had scorched more than 1.3 million acres of land, according to NASA.
According to NOAA’s National Climatic Data Center in 2012, the “average temperature for the contiguous U.S. during July was 77.6°F, 3.3°F above the 20th century average, marking the warmest July and all-time warmest month on record for the nation in a period of record that dates back to 1895.”
“The previous warmest July for the nation was July 1936, when the average U.S. temperature was 77.4°F,” NOAA said in 2012.
This statement by NOAA was still available on their website when checked by The Daily Caller News Foundation. 
But when meteorologist and climate blogger Anthony Watts went to check the NOAA data on Sunday he found that the science agency had quietly reinstated July 1936 as the hottest month on record in the U.S.

The poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 4.1 percentage points."

MUSKEGON, MI -- Faculty and staff at Muskegon Community College will receive 2 percent pay increases, bringing top administrators' pay to more than $94,500.

The MCC trustees approved the salary increases at the same meeting where they increased tuition for next year. Trustee Ann Oakes voted against the increases for administrative, professional and support staff, saying she believes salaries should be frozen while the college works to correct its financial picture.

"When things really start improving, that's when the salaries should go up," Oakes said.

The board raised 2014-15 tuition for Muskegon County students by 7.26 percent and by around 11 percent for students from outside the area. Tuition was raised by 5 percent for 2013-14.

The two vice presidents at the college will see their pay increase from $92,728 to $94,583. Pay for the director of finance will increase from $84,486 to $86,176, which is well over the pay range for that employee classification. As a result, the board increased the pay range for that classification to between $54,000 and $87,000.

President Dale Nesbary didn't receive a salary increase, though the board will discuss increasing it from $155,000 to $169,000 when it meets for a retreat later this month.

"TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — A taxpayer-funded educational facility  in Miami-Dade County intended to teach at-risk teens job skills is sitting vacant and unused, which has been the case since 2011.
The building, in Cutler Bay, fails to benefit the public despite ample initial funding, according to a county inspector general’s audit.
It’s also doubtful a single student has benefitted from the project as designed.

As part of a community grant agreement between the county and Bay Point Schools Inc, a nonprofit alternative school for minors with criminal pasts, $1 million in taxpayer money went toward the construction of a 13,400-square-foot building for the purpose of vocational training programs.

They said taxpayers deserve to know about the contagious diseases and the risks the children pose to Americans.
