UK academics set to launch 'virus' software for online ‘hate speech’ in time for 2020 election
"Researchers at the University of Cambridge have proposed a software program that treats online “hate speech” like a computer virus.
Users would be presented with a warning and a “Hate O’Meter” rating before deciding whether or not to view content that may be regarded as “hate speech."
...Thanks to researchers at the University of Cambridge, the largest social media companies in the world may soon have the ability to preemptively quarantine content classified by an algorithm as “hate speech".”..."

Illegals commit crimes at double the rate of native-born: Study - Washington Times
"The crime rate among illegal immigrants in Arizona is twice that of other residents, Attorney General Jeff Sessions said Friday, citing a new report based on conviction data.
The report, from the Crime Prevention Research Center, used a previously untapped set of data from Arizona that detailed criminal convictions and found that illegal immigrants between 15 and 35 are less than 3 percent of the state’s population, but nearly 8 percent of its prison population.
And the crimes they were convicted of were, on the whole, more serious, said John R. Lott Jr., the report’s author and president of the research center..."

Australian Gun Law Update; Here's a thought to... - Paul Douglas Brassine"Australian Gun Law Update;
Here's a thought to warm some of your hearts....
From: Ed Chenel, A police officer in Australia
Hi Yanks,
I thought you all would like to see the real
figures from Down Under.
It has now been 12 months since gun owners in Australia were forced by a new law to surrender 640,381 personal firearms to be destroyed by our own government, a program costing Australia taxpayers more than $500 million dollars.
The first year results are now in:
- Australia-wide, homicides are up 6.2 percent,
- Australia-wide, assaults are up 9.6 percent;
- Australia-wide, armed robberies are up 44 percent (yes, 44 percent)!
- In the state of Victoria.....alone, homicides with firearms are now up 300 percent.(Note that while the law-abiding citizens turned them in, the criminals did not and criminals still possess their guns!)
There has also been a dramatic increase in break-ins and assaults of the elderly, while the resident is at home.
Australian politicians are at a loss to explain how public safety has decreased, after such monumental effort and expense was expended in 'successfully ridding Australian society of guns....'
You won't see this on the American evening news or hear your governor or members of the State Assembly disseminating this information.
The Australian experience speaks for itself.
Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes, gun-control laws affect only the law-abiding citizens.
Take note Americans, before it's too late!"

Flashback: Soleimani-Linked Faction Claimed over '6,000 Attacks’ Against U.S., Coalition Forces in About 5 Years:

Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq (AAH) — a faction of the Baghdad-sanctioned Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) that answered to the late Iranian Gen. Qassem Soleimani killed by American forces in Iraq on Thursday — reportedly claimed to be behind 6,000 attacks against U.S. and Coalition forces between 2006 and 2011.
Soleimani has American blood on his hands, the Institute for the Study of War reported in 2012.

Trump Impeachment Fallout Unpredictable | National Review
"...Impeachment is shaping up as unpredictably explosive, but not in the way imagined.
...The past three years of Trump mania did not induce a recession, despite last summer’s sudden hysteria that “recession” was on the horizon.
It is hard to envision a looming recession when real wages of workers continue to rise, unemployment is at historic lows, U.S. energy production is at record highs, inflation is low, interest rates are manageable, and growth is moderate but steady.
...We are living in bizarre times — the rhetoric of Trump hatred is nearing its logical end, and scant further popular animus can be expressed beyond smashing his face, shooting him, burning him up, or blowing up the White House, and no further political venom voiced than urging progressives to surround Trump officials and harass them at restaurants and stores.
...Few on the left ever contemplate the effect on the general public of the 24/7, 360-degree pure hatred of Trump on network and cable news, public TV and radio, and late-night TV talk shows, as well as print media.
The silent disdain many people have for the progressive media nexus is especially potent when the haters so often fit a stereotypical profile in the public mind: counterfeit elite as defined by education, zip codes, careers, or supposed cultural influence; smug in their parrot-like group-speak and accustomed to deference.
This paradox was brought home to me not long ago when I asked an unlikely Trump minority supporter why in the world he would vote against his family’s and community’s political heritage.
He answered at once, with simply, “I hate the people who hate him.”
Translated, I think that means we often are missing a cultural element to Trump Agonistes, exacerbated by the latest toxic impeachment episode..."

Heather Mac Donald--‘Social Justice’ Ideology Is Damaging American Values - Minding The Campus
"Social-justice ideology is turning higher education into an engine of progressive political advocacy, according to a new report by the National Association of Scholars.
Left-wing activists, masquerading as professors, are infiltrating traditional academic departments or creating new ones—departments such as “Solidarity and Social Justice”—to advance their cause.
They are entering the highest rung of college administration, from which perch they require students to take social-justice courses, such as “Native Sexualities and Queer Discourse” or “Hip-hop Workshop,” and attend social-justice events—such as a Reparations, Repatriation, and Redress Symposium or a Power and Privilege Symposium—in order to graduate.
But social-justice education is merely a symptom of an even deeper perversion of academic values: the cult of race and gender victimology, otherwise known as “diversity.”
The diversity cult is destroying the very foundations of our civilization.
It is worth first exploring, however, why social-justice education is an oxymoron..."
