A note from my "friend" Benjamin......

Below is an email from Benjamin Todd Jealous, President of the NAACP, who started a petition on the MoveOn website.

Dear MoveOn member,
Tonight, a jury acquitted George Zimmerman. But we are not done demanding justice for Trayvon Martin.
We're calling on the U.S. Justice Department to open a civil rights case against George Zimmerman and have launched a petition to Attorney General Eric Holder. The petition says:
The Department of Justice has closely monitored the State of Florida's prosecution of the case against George Zimmerman in the Trayvon Martin murder since it began. Today, with the acquittal of George Zimmerman, it is time for the Department of Justice to act.
The most fundamental of civil rights—the right to life—was violated the night George Zimmerman stalked and then took the life of Trayvon Martin. We ask that the Department of Justice file civil rights charges against Mr. Zimmerman for this egregious violation.
Please address the travesties of the tragic death of Trayvon Martin by acting today. Thank you.
Thanks!
–Benjamin Todd Jealous
This petition was created on MoveOn's online petition site, where anyone can start their own online petitions. NAACP didn't pay us to send this email—we never rent or sell the MoveOn.org list.

Do right-to-work laws bring competitive advantage?

Do right-to-work laws bring competitive advantage?:
"Right-to-work states dominate America's Top States for Business for 2013.
In fact, Colorado is the only state among America's Top 10 states without a right-to-work law.
Right-to-work proponents consider Michigan's law a major victory.
The state is, after all, the cradle of the American labor movement and the closed shop.
But right-to-work laws remain deeply divisive in Michigan and across the country.
"No one should be forced to pay tribute to a union boss in order to get or keep a job," the 58-year-old National Right to Work Committee says on its website."

More lies from the main stream media about the Zimmerman case

Blog: More lies from the main stream media about the Zimmerman case:

More lies from the main stream media about the Zimmerman case

Jonathan Cohen
Today's Chicago Tribune editorial on the Zimmerman verdict repeats some of the lies and misrepresentations that have helped create so much of the anger over this case for the past 16 months.  The editorial which urges acceptance of the verdict none the less begins with the following quote:
"Are you following him?"
"Yeah"
"Ok. We don't need for you to do that".
The quote leaves out Zimmerman's reply of ok, an editorial decision that changes the clear meaning of the exchange which is that Zimmerman accepts the advice. More properly, what the transcript of the call reads
"Are you following him?"
"Yeah"
"Ok. We don't need for you to do that".
"Ok"
The first paragraph of the editorial then repeats the lie that Zimmerman was told not to leave his car. In fact what the transcript of the call shows is that just prior to this exchange, the dispatcher tells Zimmerman "just let me know if this guy does anything else. A few seconds later after Zimmerman says that Martin is running the dispatcher asks him "which way is he running."  It is sometime in this period that Zimmerman sounds like he has gotten out of his truck. For the next five or ten seconds there is a sound of wind that is followed by the exchange in which the dispatcher advises him he doesn't need to follow Martin.  At no time anywhere on the call does the dispatcher ever tell him not to leave his car or return to it. These five to ten seconds are the only time in the whole encounter in which there is any evidence of Zimmerman following Martin on foot.  And since there is so much misinformation about what happened it bears repeating.
Zimmerman was never told to stay in his car and was never asked to return to it!
No evidence at all is ever produced that Zimmerman followed Martin after the above exchange with the dispatcher. In fact, towards the end of the call, Zimmerman tells the dispatcher that he has lost sight of Martin. Clearly Zimmerman could not follow Martin if he couldn't see him. Further evidence of this is that Rachel Jaentel's testimony indicates that Martin had likewise lost sight of Zimmerman until shortly before the start of the confrontation.  In other words, after telling the dispatcher "ok", Zimmerman did not follow Martin nor did Martin perceive he was being followed.
The claim that Zimmerman was at fault because he pursued Martin after being told not to has absolutely no basis in fact. It is a made up assumption that has been repeated so many times by the media that people actually believe that is what happened.
The 911 call that was placed by Zimmerman is on the web in both audio  and written transcript form. It was played numerous times at the trial. There is no excuse for continuing to lie about the evidence. The Chicago Tribune should know better than to continue to perpetuate lies that have fueled so much anger over this case.

RACHEL JEANTEL, FRIEND OF TRAYVON: Well, the jury, they see their facts. My thoughts of the jury, they old, that's old school people. We in a new school, our generation, my generation. So --

PIERS MORGAN: Let's talk about 'creepy ass cracka.' People have said that that is a phrase used by black people, cracka, to describe a white person. Is that true?

JEANTEL: No! Like I said --

MORGAN: How do you spell it, first of all?

JEANTEL: Cracka.

MORGAN: There's no 'e-r,' right?

JEANTEL: No, it's an 'a' at the end.

MORGAN: C-r-a-c-k-a.

JEANTEL: Yeah. And that's a person who act like they're a police [officer], who, like a security guard who acting like -- that's what I said to them. Trayvon said creepy ass cracka.

MORGAN: It means he thought it was a police or a security guard?

JEANTEL: Yeah, he acting like the police. And then he keep telling me that the man is still watching him. So, if it was a security guard or a policeman, they would come up to Trayvon and say, 'Do you have a problem? Do you need help?' You know, like normal people.

Baltimore Witness: Group of Blacks Beat Hispanic Man, Yelling 'This Is For Trayvon'

Baltimore Witness: Group of Blacks Beat Hispanic Man, Yelling 'This Is For Trayvon':
"The Baltimore Sun reported Monday evening that police are now investigating a witness’ story about a group of young blacks beating a Hispanic man while yelling “This is for Trayvon.”
According to the witness, real estate agent Christina Dudley, she was walking to her car just before 9 p.m. on Sunday evening when she saw several young black men and two black females chasing a 37-year-old Hispanic man.
“One of the boys had a handgun out and it was pointed at the back of him,” said Dudley.
The group of young blacks caught up to the Hispanic man, and the man with the gun beat the victim with the gun while the others kicked and stomped on him, according to Dudley."

Man beaten by ‘bored’ teens dies 1 year later

Man beaten by ‘bored’ teens dies 1 year later | The Columbus Dispatch:
"Authorities say the Cincinnati-area man who was badly beaten by six teens almost a year ago in a Cincinnati suburb has died.
Pat Mahaney, 46, died yesterday in the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, said Julie Wilson, spokeswoman for the Hamilton County prosecutor’s office.
The six teens, all 13 or 14, injured Mahaney in August and told police they did it because they were bored and looking for something to do.
Wilson said Hamilton County Prosecutor Joseph Deters has asked the coroner for an autopsy.
Three of the youths have pleaded guilty to felonious assault.
Wilson would not elaborate on whether the office will seek additional charges against the teens.
She said the office will describe its “next steps, if any,” after the coroner issues a report."

K DRAUGR (DRAUGR)
All over the internet not one single mention of race in any of the mainstream media outletts. I had to do some digging to find out that the teens were all black and the victim was white. Some of the teens had prior arrest records. Aern't you getting sick of the deception? Aern't you getting sick of "News" outletts not accurately reporting the news?

Another day, another wind farm scandal

Another day, another wind farm scandal – Telegraph Blogs:
"..... the National Grid has been secretly forking out millions on diesel-generated power in order to stop the lights going out.
And why does the National Grid need this hugely expensive, dirty energy available on standby?
For all those occasions when the wind isn't blowing, is why.
The greater the proportion of our total energy capacity taken up by wind, the more unstable our grid becomes.
But rather than admit the scale of the problem (already causing havoc in places like Germany), the Coalition has had to persist in the charade that renewables are an essential part of our energy mix.
So rather than scrap all wind projects – the only really sensible option – we instead have to go through the nonsense of having even more expensive energy in reserve (ie diesel generators) driving up our bills by another 5 per cent."
