Normalizing Democrat Violence | The American Spectator

Normalizing Democrat Violence | The American Spectator:
Their summer of love was eons ago.
Bette Midler doesn’t like Republicans.
She hates them.
Her Twitter feed is a non-stop bilge pump of vitriol.

Bette Midler didn’t like Senator Paul’s perspective on the budget.
Her mean tweet received nearly 4,000 RT’s and 23,000 “likes” referencing a violent act by her fellow Democrat against Senator Rand Paul.
...But this wasn’t the only time this past year that Senator Paul was attacked by a Democrat. He was at the softball field when a crazed Democrat showed up, after days of meticulous planning, to shoot and kill as many Republicans as possible. He would have succeeded, too, if the Secret Service hadn’t been there for House Leaders. As it was, Majority Whip Steve Scalise was shot and nearly killed while the rest of the innocent Republicans were terrorized.
When Democrats aren’t actively attempting to kill Republicans, they’re laughing at the misfortune of Republicans.
A group of Republicans were going on a retreat when the train they were traveling on with their families was hit and derailed.
There were critical injuries and one train engineer died.
Democrats laughed.
It’s easy to forget all the incidences of Democrat violence.
Here’s a reminder:

Then there are the marauding AntiFa gangs that started on the day of President Trump’s inauguration — these folks broke window fronts, started fires, destroyed property.
Don’t forget the night of the Inauguration Balls when outraged Democrat voters spat on the celebrating Gold Star men in tuxes and women in ball gowns.
See the source imageRepublican and conservative and even liberal speakers and professors who refuse to surrender have been threatened, physically attacked, and verbally assaulted. The thought police behind this violence have worked to get people who don’t think “correctly” fired from jobs.
This violence-enforced totalitarianism has leaked from campuses into corporate life. How many non-conformist thinkers have been fired from supposedly “open-minded” businesses like Google that we don’t know about?
The rot doesn’t stop there. Small business people are not immune. Suffering the wrath of jack-booted ideologues, nuns, cake-makers, and anyone else who refuses to submit, must die–via legal means. These people are permitted to exist but only as long as they do not express themselves in their art, profession, or personal life. Let them be an example to all the rest who might dare disagree. Let them be shunned and marked as anathema.
Spoiled brat Olympians feel at liberty to libel Vice President Pence to prove their bona fides to their fellow travelers.
Rhetorical censure, threats of violence, and actual violence serve to steer behavior. It’s been successful.
The infractions against “Woke-ness” are evolving. They’re more random and arbitrary. Andrew Sullivan wrote a long post about the inevitable backlash to the overreaching #MeToo Movement.
But will there be a backlash? Or will there be more violence and counter-violence?
Even Bill Maher is worried:
Yet Bill Maher created this world he now decries..."

ICE arrests 212 illegals, targets 122 businesses in LA sweep - Washington Times

ICE arrests 212 illegals, targets 122 businesses in LA sweep - Washington Times:

Image result for Flicker Commons Images Los Angeles Police Cruisers"Federal deportation officers staged one of the biggest enforcement actions in years against businesses in Los Angeles this week, arresting 212 people and serving audit notices to 122 businesses who will have to prove they aren’t hiring illegal immigrants.

Nearly all of those arrested were convicted criminals, according to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

ICE said it targeted Los Angeles because it’s a sanctuary city, meaning it refuses to fully cooperate with federal authorities on deportations from within its jails."

Israel Figured Out How to Prevent School Shootings 40 Years Ago-It's Time the US Followed Suit - Lawrence Meyers

Israel Figured Out How to Prevent School Shootings 40 Years Ago-It's Time the US Followed Suit - Lawrence Meyers:
"I’m a small government guy, however, it’s sadly apparent that the United States of America is paralyzed with political indecision over something the State of Israel figured out more than 40 years ago: all schools should have mandated security features and active shooter protocols.
The horrific scene in Parkland, and the upsetting videos broadcast from the school during the shooting, should be the final straw.
Image result for school guards
The kids should not have been hiding and screaming, they should have been in the midst of a pre-determined security protocol.
...In 1974, Israel endured the Ma’alot Massacre in which “Palestinian” terrorists took 115 people hostage at Netiv Meir Elementary School.
Twenty-two children and three others were killed and 68 injured.
Israel now requires schools with 100 or more students to have a guard posted.
The civilian police force handles the entire security system of all schools from kindergarten through college.
The Ministry of Education funds shelters and fences, reinforces school buses, and hires and trains guards.
Guards don’t just stand around.
They check everyone entering, and engage threats.
And yeah, they’ve got guns.
The lawful purposes for carrying guns are very clear: protect school personnel and students, create a sense of security, deter the ill-intentioned, and provide self-defense..."

  • By JOSEPH PISANI AP Retail Writer

  • "McDonald’s is taking cheeseburgers and chocolate milk off its Happy Meal menu in an effort to cut down on the calories, sodium, saturated fat and sugar that kids consume at its restaurants.
Diners can still ask specifically for cheeseburgers or chocolate milk with the kid’s meal, but the fast-food company said that not listing them will reduce how often they’re ordered.
Since it removed soda from the Happy Meal menu four years ago, orders for it with Happy Meals have fallen 14 percent, the company said.
Hamburgers and Chicken McNuggets will remain the main entrees on the Happy Meal menu..."

"THE CALIFORNIA LEFT: TRUMP IS LIKE A CHARACTER OUT OF DR. STRANGELOVE.
Also the California left: We can no longer sit back and allow corporate infiltration, corporate indoctrination, corporate subversion, and the international corporate conspiracy to sap and impurify all of our precious bodily fluids!

A ballot initiative that would ban fluoride, chlorine, genetically modified organisms and some vaccine ingredients was approved to begin collecting signatures last week, the California Secretary of State’s office announced.

Dubbed the “California Clean Environment Initiative” by its creator Cheriel Jensen, the initiative would also eliminate vaccination requirements at schools and daycares, ban more than 300 chemicals it claims are linked to cancer, autism and Parkinson’s disease, and prohibit the use of smart meters to monitor energy consumption.

“These companies that make the chemicals have taken our right to refuse those chemicals away,” Jensen told Patch.
“Fear of fluoridation takes a left turn,” Reason’s Ronald Bailey reported way back in a 2001 article appropriately headlined, “Impurifying our precious bodily fluids.”

Spare Us the ‘Conversation’ | The American Spectator

Spare Us the ‘Conversation’ | The American Spectator:
"The pols and pundits most insistent upon holding a gun-control “conversation” in the wake of mass shootings at schools did the most to turn them into nihilistic wastelands.
From the puffed-chest phonies on CNN and MSNBC, we hear a lot about sinister “lobbies” that intimidate passive, cowardly pols.
The insufferable Chris Cuomo, whose partisan arrogance is impossible to overstate, rips into this or that Republican for not “standing up” to the NRA.
Image result for can we talkWhen has Cuomo ever stood up to the morally bankrupt teachers’ unions that turned America’s public schools into assembly lines of pathology?
Cuomo, full of cheap outrage, seized upon Trump’s blameless tweets about the shooting.
    He pronounced them “stupid.”
It is not clear what Trump could possibly have said to satisfy Cuomo.
Was he expecting Trump to call for the confiscation of all guns?
    The imposition of martial law?
The liberal elite’s hoped-for “conversation” about guns would never proceed like one.
They are not looking for a dialogue but an occasion to diatribe without ever having to answer for their own role in the demise of civil society..."

Sea Level Rise Report by Climate Central
"Long-term sea level rise set in motion by near-term carbon emissions threatens major coastal cities across the world. Science-based imagery helps show the stakes for the Caribbean.

The first image in each pair below shows projections of post-2100 sea level rise that could be locked in following 4°C (7.2°F) of warming from carbon pollution. This pathway corresponds roughly to business as usual. The second image in each pair shows projections based on 2°C (3.6°F) of warming, corresponding to the upper limit target named in the 2015 Paris Climate Agreement.

Agreement implementation will determine which of these two scenarios the future looks like most.

The projections behind these images come from peer-reviewed research, and a special report describes how these findings are translated into global maps, viewable at Mapping Choices. Maps and imagery for the Caribbean are based on Climate Central's CoastalDEM™ version 1.1, a special high-accuracy elevation dataset that improves over the data originally used.

The images on this page were created by visual artist Nickolay Lamm based on Climate Central’s maps and elevation data, with support from the Inter-American Development Bank. Images for other global locations are available here. .."

Florida School Shooting: No, It Was Not The 18th School Shooting This Year — Not Even Close | Stock News & Stock Market Analysis - IBD

Florida School Shooting: No, It Was Not The 18th School Shooting This Year — Not Even Close | Stock News & Stock Market Analysis - IBD:
"The latest mass shooting, which claimed 17 lives at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida, was a horrible tragedy.
    See the source image
But that's no excuse for the flurry of stories parroting a gun control advocacy group's false claims about school shootings.
    • "There have already been 18 school shootings in the US this year" — ABC News
    • "18 school shootings in 45 days — Florida massacre is one of many tragedies in 2018"—CNBC
    • "18 school shootings in US in 2018"— AFP
    • "U.S. averages a school shooting every 2.5 days in 2018" — Politico
    • "We're Averaging One School Shooting Every 60 Hours In 2018" — Huffington Post
When not in the headline, this claim shows up in just about every story about the Florida shooting.
So, it must be true, right? Why else would every news outlet be reporting this?
    It's not true.
That number comes from a gun control advocacy group — Everytown for Gun Safety — which arrived at 18 only by shoving everything it possibly could into the category of "school shooting."
The simplest check of its list shows how misleading the group is being.
    • One of the "school shootings" on the list, for example, involved a Greyson College, Tex., student who accidentally discharged a weapon at the school's Criminal Justice Center during a class supervised by a police officer on how to use handguns.
    • Another on the list involved a third grader who accidentally pulled the trigger of a police officer's holstered weapon.
    • Two were suicides that happened to take place on school grounds. One of them was a 31-year-old man who shot himself while parked in his car, which happened to be on a school lot— at a school that had been closed for seven months. Another was a student who shot himself in the head in the school's bathroom.
    • Three "school shootings" involved fights that broke out between either adults or students in school parking lots — one of them at a college in North Carolina — in which one of the people arguing pulled a gun on the other.
    • Another student was shot by a robber, during a robbery that happened to take place in a school parking lot.
    • One involved a gun that a 12-year-old brought to school, which accidentally went off inside her backpack.
    • In fact, of the 18 "school shootings," only five occurred during school hours, and only four — including the latest — are what most people would consider a school shooting; in which someone brings a gun to school with the intent of shooting students..."
