Dear @ABC, This is a time-sensitive issue. Millions are hurt, offended, and traumatized by Roseanne’s racist comments. A slow response from her employer suggests you support her comments which is even more hurtful.
"It seems pretty clear that this was a political hit job from the beginning, one that’s only coming out because Trump won. And in the process, it’s revealing deep, pervasive institutional rot."--Posted by Glenn Reynolds
"“Starbucks, if you’re really serious about eliminating racism, you will acknowledge that black people, and indeed all human beings, are of one blood and one human race, born and unborn. Racism and abortion are crimes against humanity,” King concluded."
"ProPublica, the pro-Obama leftwing investigative-reporting website funded in part by George Soros' buddies, seems to have slipped up.
One of their reporters, a real good one named Marshall Allen, has written a bang-up, worth-reading-every-word, satisfying expose about why health insurance costs are so high and why so many patients get ugly surprises when it's time to pay the bill. And buried within, in what should have been the lede, is not an indictment of the insurance industry, but of the perverse incentives embedded within Obamacare - that are driving insurance costs through the roof...
The Affordable Care Act kept profit margins in check by requiring companies to use at least 80 percent of the premiums for medical care. That's good in theory, but it actually contributes to rising health care costs. If the insurance company has accurately built high costs into the premium, it can make more money. Here's how: Let's say administrative expenses eat up about 17 percent of each premium dollar and around 3 percent is profit. Making a 3 percent profit is better if the company spends more..."

My cable subscription covers a
couple hundred channels so this past week I decided to step beyond
the few networks I typically watch. I was hopeful that I would find
something new and appealing in the entertainment world. I was
hopeful. I was so hopeful.
Comedy
is usually my first choice. After I eliminated networks which
showcased tragic comedies such as the main stream media and their
laughable news networks, I moved on hoping to find something along
the lines of more traditional comedy. I knew the so called late night
comedy shows wouldn't provide anything entertaining. They've become
left-wing hired jokers, puppets on strings. When the comedy search
failed, I looked for a drama. Well, that search failed too. I was
unable to find anything worth watching on 200 plus channels.
I
found a lot of shows I could label as new, odd and different but
little which seemed appealing. I found men parading around as women
in some sort of competition. It was very disturbing. I do not
enjoying watching what is considered reality TV because in many cases
it encourages hostility and highlights the dark side of emotions.
There's always so much yelling and screaming on these shows. If that
kind of behavior is your true reality, it's time to make some
changes.
Study: Some public pensions funds could run dry in downturn - CBS News:
"Many pension funds for public workers already owe far more in retirement benefits than they have in the bank, and the problem will only grow worse if the economy slows down, according to a report released last week.
The study from The Pew Charitable Trusts found that the New Jersey and Kentucky public pension funds are in such perilous shape that they risk running dry. "Even after eight years of economic recovery — eight straight years of stock market gains — the public pension plans are more vulnerable than they've ever been to the next recession," researcher Greg Mennis said in an interview..." Researchers from the University of Toronto and St. Michael’s Hospital conducted a review of 179 studies on popular vitamin supplements that were published between January 2012 and October 2017.
Taking multivitamins or other commonly consumed vitamin and mineral supplements won’t actually provide you any health benefits, but they won’t harm you either, a new study finds.
...The research team concluded that the most commonly consumed supplements — multivitamins, vitamin D, calcium, and vitamin C — had no effect on a person’s risk of suffering a heart attack stroke, heart disease, or early death.
“We were surprised to find so few positive effects of the most common supplements that people consume,” notes Dr. David Jenkins, the study’s lead author, in a statement. “Our review found that if you want to use multivitamins, vitamin D, calcium or vitamin C, it does no harm – but there is no apparent advantage either.”
...The authors say it’s best to stick to a healthy diet that includes plenty of fruits and vegetables which naturally provide our bodies with vitamins and minerals... Read on!
Nancy Pelosi hit with GOP ad: 'Democrats' Midterm Message? MS-13 killers aren't so bad' - Washington Times:
"“We’re talking about MS-13. They’re motto is ‘rape. torture. kill.’ … The victim was stabbed more than 100 times, decapitated, dismembered, and his heart was cut out of his chest and then thrown into a pre-dug grave. … The two young men shown here kidnapped, sexually assaulted and shot a 15-year-old girl sacrificing her in the name of Satan,” three different newscasters add."
London cyclists too white, male and middle class, says capital's cycling chief in vow to tackle diversity 'problem' | The Independent: "Too few women and people from ethnic minority groups cycle in London and more must be done to promote diversity among a largely white, male and middle class biking community, the city’s walking and cycling commissioner has said.
Grand schemes, such as the Cycle Superhighway network of partially-segregated routes linking the suburbs with the centre, are too often perceived as simply a way of getting “middle-aged men cycling faster around the city”, Will Norman acknowledged.
He said he was considering setting diversity targets for London’s cycling population to ensure progress was achieved."... Read on!
Several 2014 photos of detained immigrant children resurfaced on Twitter over the weekend and went viral.
Former Obama administration officials tried to explain the context behind the photos, which appeared to show migrant kids locked up in cages.
The former Obama speechwriter Jon Favreau had shared the images on Twitter, mistakenly believing they were taken during Donald Trump's presidency.
The former officials doubled down on their criticisms of Trump's immigration policies, and said the 2014 photos showed unaccompanied children the government had been attempting to place with family members.
Several former Obama administration officials took to social media and news outlets on Tuesday to explain a gallery of years-old photos that showed immigrant children sleeping in shoddy conditions at a government-run holding facility in Arizona.
The images, which were first published by the Associated Press in 2014, resurfaced over the weekend for reasons that remain unclear, and quickly prompted viral outrage on Twitter.
One particularly disturbing image showed two children sleeping on mattresses on the floor inside what appeared to be a cage. A number of prominent liberals — and even a former Obama administration official — shared the photos in outrage, mistakenly believing they depicted the Trump administration's treatment of immigrant children who were forcibly separated from their parents. Jon Favreau, who worked as a speechwriter for former President Barack Obama, tweeted, "This is happening right now, and the only debate that matters is how we force our government to get these kids back to their families as fast as humanly possible."
Detainees sleep and watch television in a holding cell where hundreds of mostly Central American immigrant children were being processed and held at the CBP Nogales Placement Center on June 18, 2014.Associated Press/Ross D. Franklin Favreau said Tuesday he later deleted the tweet after social media users pointed out that the photos were taken during the Obama administration.
But by that point, critics had already rushed to accuse him of concealing Obama's own harsh immigration tactics while condemning Trump's..."
Media Spreads Two New Lies Aimed At Smearing ICE, Trump | Daily Wire:
"These deceptive claims come just after the media spread three blatant falsehoods over the past two weeks: falsely suggesting that Israel was shooting innocent civilians, that President Trump called all illegal immigrants "animals," and that the school shooter at Santa Fe High School used an "assault rifle.""
UN knew about African sex-for-food scandal at charities 16 years ago, leaked report claims
"Workers from more than 40 charity organizations exploited refugee children and women in West Africa by trading food for sex, according to a leaked report — that the United Nations has known about for 16 years. The disturbing scandal is laid out in an 84-page report produced in 2001 by researchers for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and Save the Children working at refugee camps in Guinea, Sierra Leone and Liberia.
The report was handed over to the UNHCR in 2002 but only a summary of the allegations was published.
Identified in it are 40 organizations “whose workers are alleged to be in sexually exploitative relationships with refugee children,” according to The Times in the UK, which obtained a copy of the full report.
Aid workers were “among the prime sexual exploiters of refugee children, often using the very humanitarian assistance and services intended to benefit refugees as a tool of exploitation.”
They allegedly traded basic needs — like food, oil, access to education and plastic sheeting for shelters — for sex."... Read it all!
How to Fail Today's Starbucks Racial Sensitivity Training: "...when a couple of black people a few weeks ago wanted to use the restroom at a Starbucks in Philadelphia without buying anything, and they refused three requests from employees to leave and three more requests from the cops to do the same, Starbucks took the only action open to it: give the black people lots of free stuff, then hold a racial sensitivity training session for 177,000 employees of Starbucks. This may be the biggest, but it is hardly the first seminar in America where white people have to learn more about their evil racist ways.
Over the last several years, more than 100,000 teachers have gone through the same kind of training to learn how much white people suck. In most schools, it begins with an invitation to have a "Courageous Conversation" about race.
Tip for the soon to be enlightened 177,000: If you want to keep your job and think you are not racist, don't let anyone know about it, or you will meet the same fate as the teachers who said the same thing in their seminars.
They get fired. So there is no conversation – just monologue... ...Chicago was forced to pay $22.5 million for its role in a group of black people tossing a young white woman out of a tall building.
A Harvard sociologist told the judge and jury that anytime a white person is in a black neighborhood, he can expect to experience Routine Activity Theory – i.e., black people routinely visit violence on white people. The judge made it part of his ruling. Question 1: Why is black-on-white violence so routine that they even have a name for it? Question 2: Why are black-on-white crime and violence 6, 10, even 1,000 times greater than white-on-black violence? Question 3: Why do black people – like Michelle Obama – get special preferences for college admission based on race?
