Carney: NYT Attack on Trump's 'Financial Acumen' Is Nonsense

Carney: NYT Attack on Trump's 'Financial Acumen' Is Nonsense

According to the New York Times, Trump paid millions when he filed for an extension in those years and later used business investment tax credits to reduce his tax bills to just $750. The paper says the president did not get a refund for the overpayment. Instead, the extra money will get applied to future tax bills. So the real story here is Trump apparently overpaid his taxes in his first years in the White House.
By the way, Trump has been donating his entire presidential salary back to the government. And this does not reduce his taxes for that income. So Trump is taxed on income he sends back to the government. But he had tax credits in 2016 and 2017 that essentially reduce his tax liability to zero.
Unfortunately, the New York Times mucked up this straight-forward story by claiming that the 18 years of tax data raise doubts about whether Trump is a successful businessman.

The proof is in the wire transfers.

Soooo much junk-medicine here!-----Study: Children are now 10 percent of all US COVID-19 cases

Study: Children are now 10 percent of all US COVID-19 cases
"Reopening schools and resuming youth sports, playdates and other activities has led to a sharp increase in the number
of American children testing positive for COVID-19, according to health authorities.
The American Academy of Pediatrics and the Children’s Hospital Association released a report Tuesday showing children, ages 0 to 17, make up about 10 percent of all cumulative U.S. COVID-19 cases
Children were just 2 percent of total cases in April.
As of September 24, more than 624,000 children have tested positive for the coronavirus since the beginning of the pandemic.
With the U.S. reporting just below 6 million cases total, that means roughly 10.5 percent of all cases are children.
...“These rising numbers concern us greatly, as the children’s cases reflect the increasing virus spread in our communities,” said American Academy of Pediatrics President Sally Goza, MD...Read all.
  • It's a result of new testing of "children" as they enter school, and reduced testing of adults
  • New data shows new positives (many/most/all?) are false positives!
  • The "cases" report shows no symptoms, hospitalizations or deaths.
  • Ya wonder why?
  • They've redefined the term of what a "case" really is.
  • A reported "case" without symptoms is a "finding of a virus particle".
  • It is NOT a case of someone with a disease!
  • More bogus covid-hysteria to keep us little people fearful, hoping government will save us...keep us "in line"!

Maybe the "safe-space" parents are killing their children?

Lawmakers Move to Unplug the President's 'Internet Kill Switch' | Intellectual Takeout

Lawmakers Move to Unplug the President's 'Internet Kill Switch' | Intellectual Takeout
"...Right now, the executive branch technically has the authority under a World War II-era amendment of the Communications Act of 1934 to seize control of, monitor, or shut down “any wire communication” if the president deems it necessary for “national security” and declares an emergency.
This power applied to the modern age would certainly include the ability of a president to, amid a crisis, seize control of the internet or even shut it off in swaths of the country in the name of national security.
It even appears the president could do this all unilaterally.
Thankfully, on September 23, Sens. Rand Paul, Gary Peters, and Ron Wyden joined forces with Reps. Thomas Massie and Tulsi Gabbard to introduce a bill rolling back these drastic powers.
“If you give government an inch, it takes ten miles, and this has been vividly illustrated by the surveillance state’s overreaches in a time of seemingly endless war,” Paul said.
“No president from either party should have the sole power to shut down or take control of the internet or any other of our communication channels during an emergency.”...Read all.

Data Show Canadian Wildfires At Lowest Level In Decades | Watts Up With That?
"Here’s something surprising from Paul Homewood, Not A Lot Of People Know That
While USA wildfires are running higher the last couple of years, according to Canada’s National Forestry Database, the number of forest fires in Canada has been at the lowest since 1990. Of course, Canada takes a management approach to forests compared to the USA’s “let it be or litigation” mess.
...In fact wildfires this year are running at just 8% of the 10-year average:

Editor's piece 'How To Cope When A Family Member Says They’re Voting For Trump' goes viral for wrong reasons

Editor's piece 'How To Cope When A Family Member Says They’re Voting For Trump' goes viral for wrong reasons
"Trump Derangement Syndrome is real …
A woman who works as an associate editor for a news outlet geared toward “millennial moms” has gone viral for all the wrong reasons.
Last week she penned a piece advising people “How To Cope When A Family Member Says They’re Voting For Trump.”
...The piece went viral...because of the author’s typical misconception of what it means to be a supporter of President Donald Trump.
“Someone you thought was a good and kind person has revealed themselves to be… something different.
Someone you love has exposed their support for or tolerance of bigotry, hatred, selfishness, narcissism, bullying, racism, sexism, abuse and violence through their support of Trump,” she wrote.
“So here’s the reality you’re – that we’re – currently facing: someone we love is supporting Trump. So what the hell do we do about it?” the piece continues.
Cry like a baby!?
TDS victims like her need more, starting with the painful acknowledgment that the Trump-supporting people they love are apparently tacit supporters of “death” and “fascism” …
“It isn’t about Democrat vs. Republican or liberal versus conservative.
It is about life and death.
It is about democracy versus fascism.
It is about hate versus kindness.
So, yes, it is perfectly reasonable to feel devastated and horrified that someone you love – someone you had considered to be kind and reasonable and smart – is not the person you thought they were,” she wrote.
Yeah, that feeling probably goes both ways …
The next step, the author wrote, is to “set healthy boundaries,” even if that means “cutting them out completely.”
...“I’ll be honest, 2020 has been a punch in the gut for so many reasons.
Learning that someone you love is voting for Trump is brutal and heartbreaking.
But remember: your heartbreak over this is also a sign that you care very deeply about building a better country and world..."...Read all.

‘This Is A Radical Assault On Our Criminal Justice System’: Horace Cooper Blasts The Bail Project | The Daily Caller

‘This Is A Radical Assault On Our Criminal Justice System’: Horace Cooper Blasts The Bail Project | The Daily Caller

“Just because you are poor — and there millions of people who are poor — just because you are black or brown — there are millions of who are — they manage to walk every day past the 7-Eleven, past grandma with her purse hanging down: they don’t snatch it, they don’t break into the 7-Eleven,” Cooper stated. “In fact, millions of people every day manage to be law-abiding.”
Cooper noted that it just “a few people” who decide to commit crimes and that “the rules don’t apply to them” while The Bail Project and other like organizations look to assist those charged with committing crimes and not those who are victims of crime.
