Improper Medicaid Payments Have Soared Since Obamacare | National Review
Improper Medicaid Payments Have Soared Since Obamacare | National Review
"Americans are conditioned to expect inefficiency and waste in government programs.
We make jokes about long lines at the DMV and the Bridge to Nowhere as if slow-moving bureaucracy and fiscal profligacy are features of the system.
But a recent report from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) puts government mismanagement on a different plane and should alarm all Americans.
The report reveals astronomical improper spending in Medicaid, our nation’s third-largest government program.
The true Medicaid improper-payment rate now exceeds 25 percent, meaning that more than one in every four dollars spent in the Medicaid program — or more than $100 billion in federal spending each year — is in violation of program rules.
...The media, to date, have virtually ignored the issue; but taxpayers are being fleeced, and we can’t fix the problem until people know and understand what’s happening...Read all.

Antifa Stockpiles Weapons at Portland Autonomous Zone
"The antifa occupiers at the autonomous zone that sprung up in Portland this week appear to be preparing for a siege.
As PJ Media’s Victoria Taft reported, antifa squatters took over a house in Portland and when the government rightly evicted them, they set up an autonomous zone.
On Wednesday, Portland’s police chief reported that antifa has fortified barricades, stockpiled weapons, set up armed guards, and threatened to kill police officers.

On Wednesday, Portland’s police chief reported that antifa has fortified barricades, stockpiled weapons, set up armed guards, and threatened to kill police officers.
Both the police chief and the mayor have urged the rebels to lay down their arms, but it appears they are refusing to do so.

"...Blue cities thriving?"-----David Brooks weighs in on rural Americans who ‘have no contact with the expert class’ living in ‘thriving’ blue cities
David Brooks weighs in on rural Americans who ‘have no contact with the expert class’ living in ‘thriving’ blue citiesLast week on @MSNBC, @nytdavidbrooks said there’s demand for conspiracy theories on the right because “blue cities are thriving” and “people left behind in the rural parts of America feel threatened”.
"Here’s another thing we’ll miss about President Trump — his willingness to call out the Democratic leaders running blue cities that were plagued with crime and generally in flames due to nightly rioting, which of course ticked off people like Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot and Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler.
...posted by Rashad Robinson, president of Color of Change, which is interesting; he, too, seems to be wondering about all of these thriving blue cities that New York Times op-ed columnist David “Perfectly Creased Pant” Brooks keeps referring to...Read all.

"...The worst case is that he eagerly betrayed his country for a roll in the rice with this Beijing bimbo.
Either way, he’s a disgrace.
But this singularly unaccomplished punch-line, this aspiring Beto without the hype or substance (Swalwell’s status as a furry is unknown, but I have my suspicions), is all too representative of his garbage party.
The fact is that Red China is delighted by the opportunity to get back to business as usual with a Democrat administration – and in the case of a potential President Biden*, that’s literally business as usual.
The garbage media didn’t think his crack-huffing, loser spawn being owned by Chinese intel –you think they don’t have tape of him living out his X-rated video of David Bowie’s 80s hit?– was significant enough to tell us about.
But then, like the rest of the establishment, the media’s corporate owners are all wrapped up with the Chi-Coms...Read all.

“With Joe Biden´s election as the new American president, there are a lot of major opportunities that we as Europe want to take,” said German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas.

ANALYSIS: Lawsuit filed over swipe-card data collection could pave way for precedent on students’ Fourth Amendment rights
...Indiana University Bloomington....In 2018, campus officials illegally accessed the swipe-card data of several students without a warrant as part of a university-wide investigation into the hazing practices of certain fraternities, according to a lawsuit filed against the school.
The four students currently suing Indiana University Bloomington over the privacy invasion were never involved in any wrongdoing, did not give their consent to have their data accessed, and were unaware that campus officials even had the ability to access the swipe-card data.
...Are educational institutions subject to special carve outs from respecting students’ Constitutional rights?
It will be interesting to see what the courts say...Read all.
