FBI Refuses To Say How Many Informants Were Involved In Jan. 6

Cruz went on to ask the agency executive about Ray Epps, a suspect captured on tape encouraging people to enter the Capitol who disappeared without explanation from the FBI’s Capitol Violence Most Wanted List last summer, according to an October report from Revolver.

Audio debunks viral claim 'falsely smearing' Neil Gorsuch over transcription error - TheBlaze

Political commentators, reporters, and at least one media organization distributed clear misinformation about Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch on Friday. The misinformation circulated on the same day the Supreme Court heard oral arguments for President Joe Biden's constitutionally questionable vaccine mandate. But audio of Gorsuch from the hearing clarified that he did not, in fact, say what was claimed.

Cop Who Killed Ashli Babbitt Was Cleared of Criminal Wrongdoing Without Interview | RealClearInvestigations
"When U.S. Capitol Police Lt. Michael Byrd went on “NBC Nightly News” to tell his side of shooting and killing unarmed Jan. 6 rioter Ashli Babbitt, he made a point to note he’d been investigated by several agencies and exonerated for his actions that day.
...In fact, investigators cleared Byrd of wrongdoing in the shooting without actually interviewing him about the shooting or threatening him with punishment if he did not cooperate with their criminal investigation.
“He didn’t provide any statement to [criminal] investigators and they didn’t push him to make a statement,” Babbitt family attorney Terry Roberts said in an RCI interview. “It’s astonishing how skimpy his investigative file is."
Roberts, who has spoken with the D.C. MPD detective assigned to the case, said the kid-glove treatment of Byrd raises suspicions the investigation was a “whitewash.”...Read all!

Biden's claim that this is a pandemic of the unvaxxed took a big hit this weekend - American Thinker

Biden's claim that this is a pandemic of the unvaxxed took a big hit this weekend - American Thinker
"Biden's declining brain has a phrase, and he's sticking to it: COVID, he insists, is "a pandemic of the unvaccinated."
However, the weekend revealed two more high-profile, heavily vaccinated people confessing that they, too, caught COVID: Geraldo Rivera and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez!
 The schadenfreude is delicious....
Geraldo was as he repeated the "pandemic of the unvaccinated" mantra:

...The club of vaccinated people getting COVID just keeps growing larger and less exclusive.

The point of all my snark is that, even as many Australians, Europeans, and Democrat jurisdictions in America do their darnedest to turn people who have not been vaccinated into pariahs, this is not a pandemic of the unvaccinated.  In Europe, where numbers are probably a little bit more reliable because they're not being used in party politics, omicron is a pandemic of the vaccinated:

study found that 96% of all omicron cases in Germany were among the vaccinated. Similarly, cases of omicron among the vaccinated in Ontario, Canada, are outpacing cases among the unvaccinated by 28%...Read all!

What Were the Washington DC Riots at Trump's Inauguration? - Louder With Crowder

What Were the Washington DC Riots at Trump's Inauguration? - Louder With Crowder
In the year or so following Hillary Clinton’s hilarious loss to Donald Trump, the left went through its usual parade of moronic meltdowns. The brand of annoying, grating, and cringe-worthy screams of deranged leftists has become a cornerstone of the movement since Trump took office.

As the Democrats decry the claims by Republicans that the 2020 election was stolen, that fraud was to blame for Trump’s loss, they forget that they were claiming fraud and a stolen election in 2016. So quickly do they want to sweep the Russian collusion hoax under the rug after they dragged it on for years, as it fell apart at the seams, as it was proven to be nothing more than a Clinton hatchet job!

LA Times Under Fire For Column on Mocking Deaths of Anti-Vaxxers.

Los Angeles Times columnist came under fire on Monday for publishing a column celebrating the deaths of those who are anti-vaxx or are opposed to mandates.

...But mockery is not necessarily the wrong reaction to those who publicly mocked anti-COVID measures and encouraged others to follow suit before they perished of the disease the dangers of which they belittled.

Nor is it wrong to deny them our sympathy and solicitude, or to make sure it’s known when their deaths are marked that they had stood fast against measures that might have protected others from the fate they succumbed to themselves...Read all!

They are sort of an offshoot of the Weather Underground, which essentially cracked up in the mid 1980s. These women decided to continue the armed struggle. Many of them had been in the Weather Underground, but they thought the Weather Underground had made important ideological mistakes, that the Weather Underground saw itself as a vanguard of revolution, when in fact the real revolutions were going on in the third world. Or in the United States itself, in places like Puerto Rico or among Native Americans.

Where did the money go??-----Feds Blew $100 Billion on Extra Hospital Beds, Got FEWER Hospital Beds

Feds Blew $100 Billion on Extra Hospital Beds, Got FEWER Hospital Beds
'“Fifteen days to flatten curve” was all about making sure we didn’t run out of hospital beds for sick people, whether they had COVID or something else.
...Among the law’s many, many very, very expensive provisions was $100,000,000,000 (that’s one million dollars, one hundred thousand times) “designed to provide an influx of money to hospitals and other health care entities responding to the coronavirus pandemic.”
...Guess what we got for our money?
Would you believe… fewer hospital beds?
Of course you would...

Except:

Staffed Hospital Beds

In case that chart is too small to easily read, the US currently has about 50,000 fewer staffed hospital beds right now than we had in 2020.

But wait. From there it gets really weird:

Not one to take an anecdote as data, I looked into hospitals closing ICUs or reducing bed counts...Much more, read all!!

Midwest Threatened With Power Outages When Weather Turns Cold
In mid-Michigan on Jan. 7, temperatures dropped to a low of 8 degrees Fahrenheit.
As residents turned up the head that day, the Midcontinent Independent System Operator put out what it refers to as a “max gen” warning effective.
It started at 6 a.m. and lasted for eight hours.
MISO describes itself as “an independent, not-for-profit, member-based organization responsible for operating the power grid across 15 U.S. states and the Canadian province of Manitoba.”
The statement it issued on Jan. 7 — a maximum generation emergency warning — means that utility companies resources are stressed...Read all!

FDA, CDC and states prioritize race for covid treatments - TheBlaze

For Americans suffering from COVID-19 and seeking life-saving treatment, they may find themselves put on a waitlist depending on their skin color. The Food and Drug Administration, as well as multiple states, will prioritize race and ethnicity in determining who receives hard-to-get COVID-19 therapeutics. In some cases, even those with dangerous health conditions could be passed over for someone who is "non-white."

CDC director: Why no, we still can't tell correlation from causation in COVID statistics

CDC director: Why no, we still can't tell correlation from causation in COVID statistics
"Why the hell not?
The CDC has tracked the COVID-19 pandemic for two years now, since its breakout from China at the beginning of 2020.
Rochelle Walensky has run the CDC for almost half that time, a period in which the most pressing concerns about vaccines had already been addressed, while the agency followed the previous administration in dropping the ball on mass production of tests.
One of the most basic questions in any pandemic is true mortality rate
Two years into the COVID-19 pandemic, the CDC still hasn’t set up a system to distinguish causation from correlation, Walensky admits:

“Do you know how many of the 836,000 deaths in the U.S. linked to COVID are from COVID or how many are with COVID but they had other comorbidities, do you have that breakdown?” Baier asked.

“Yes of course, with Omicron we’re following that very carefully. Our death registry, of course, takes a few weeks to collect and, of course, Omicron has just been with us for a few weeks, but those data will be forthcoming,” Walensky replied.
