Democrat challenges witness to prove claim that liberals 'hate' Clarence Thomas because he is a black conservative. Witness uses chairman's own words. - TheBlaze

Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) received more than he bargained for last week after challenging a witness to defend his claim that "the left hates" Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas because he is not ideologically liberal. What happened? During a congressional hearing last Wednesday, Jeffries questioned attorney Mark Paoletta over his assertion that "many on the left hate Justice Thomas because he is a black conservative who has never bowed to those who demand that he must think a certain way because of his skin."

Fake students’ financial aid fraud continues in Calif. colleges, potentially costing taxpayers millions

Fake students’ financial aid fraud continues in Calif. colleges, potentially costing taxpayers millions
"...The “fake students” financial aid fraud scam is costing taxpayers anywhere from hundreds of thousands of dollars to several million dollars, and one whistleblower professor told The College Fix she recently discovered a new method scammers use to obtain funds illegally.
Kim Rich, a criminal justice professor at Pierce College, told The Fix that over the past few weeks she has discovered a new method scammers are using: duplicating student IDs.
  • Within a seven-day period from March 8 to March 15, Rich said she found that 620 out of 1,740 newly issued student IDs were duplicates and fake, about 36 percent; assuming every fraudulent application receives $5,000 in aid, the potential total loss comes to $3.1 million. That’s just one week, at one college, with easily identifiable fake students, she said.
  • “There are
    likely hundreds more
in that specific time frame, but those were just the easy ones to identify,” Rich said..."

McCaughey: Biden Says Kids Belong to Their Teachers link
"Schools are becoming indoctrination factories, trying to turn children against their country and their own parents’ values.
It’s what the teachers unions intend.
Amazingly, that’s just fine with President Joe Biden, who told a gathering of teachers and union bigwigs on April 27 that the kids are “yours when they’re in the classroom.”
That wasn’t just a Biden stumble.
He repeated it for emphasis: “They are all our children … They are not somebody else’s children.”
Sorry, Joe.
But parents have a right to know what their children are being taught, and to set limits..."
