Surprise! Drug dealers released without bail don't show up for arraignment
"...Both men were from Washington state and when police performed a search of their vehicle they found 150,000 fentanyl pills.
...Boudreaux says the men brought the pills from Mexico and planned to take them to Washington State.
...In addition to the fentanyl, they also had two kilograms of cocaine in the vehicle.
Based on the amount of drugs involved, they were booked into jail with a bail amount of $1 million each. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the end of the story.
…when Tulare County Probation Department submitted a pre-trial risk assessment of the suspects to the Tulare County Superior Court, the men were classified as “low risk” and released on their own recognizance.
  • ...The men are expected back in court on July 21. After being released from jail, law enforcement officers haven’t been able to locate the defendants. So today is July 21, the day the defendants were expected back in court. Big surprise, neither one of them showed up. The Sheriff believes they have fled the country..."

Bidenflation Pushes Diesel Prices Sky High, Smashing Farmers, Truckers, and Consumers

Bidenflation Pushes Diesel Prices Sky High, Smashing Farmers, Truckers, and Consumers
Diesel fuel is a staple for the farmers and truckers who supply Americans with their essential needs – and its price has skyrocketed in recent months, driven by inflation to far outstrip regular gasoline in price hikes.

AP reports diesel fuel was averaging $5.52 a gallon nationally Tuesday — up a dizzying 68 percent from a year ago, when it was selling for just $3.28. By comparison, a gallon of regular gasoline is averaging $4.50, up 42 percent from a year ago.

Harsanyi: Biden Has No Right To Declare a National Climate Emergency
"The Washington Post reported Monday night that President Joe Biden is “considering whether to declare a national climate emergency” to “salvage his stalled environmental agenda and satisfy Democrats on Capitol Hill.”
...Bloomberg reports that an emergency declaration would “unlock” the president’s power to redirect “federal funding to clean-energy construction.”
...Which brings us to another small problem: There is no emergency.
Politicians might treat every hurricane, tornado and flood as an apocalyptic event—and then conveniently blame their political opponents for failing to rein in nature—but by every quantifiable measure humankind is less affected by climate than ever before.
Despite the massive expansion of fossil fuel use, despite the explosion of the world’s population, far fewer people die from the climate..."

Never trust Never Trump GOPers or the NR!-----Everything that has gone wrong in the Biden era was predictable

Instapundit-Everything that has gone wrong in the Biden era was predictable
"ON THE ONE HAND, THIS IS ENTIRELY TRUE.
On the other hand, NeverTrump Republicans, heavily represented at National Review, told us that this geriatric incompetent was indisputably a better choice than Trump, who was neither geriatric nor incompetent.
What’s more, this was a view rooted largely in aesthetics, class loyalty, and self-importance.
Everything that has gone wrong in the Biden era was predictable, and in fact was predicted, by those not blinded by Trump-hatred.

East China (MI) school board selects new member in private, out of public view Candidates were spirited out of emergency exits, parent says
  • Candidates were spirited out of emergency exits, parent says
"...Seven candidates submitted applications to fill a vacated school board seat, according to local parent Shawn Treadaway.
...The interviewers included school board members and administrators.
However, the board members were separated between the two rooms.
This meant the interviews did not constitute a quorum, which would necessitate a public meeting.

Dems to Unveil Amnesty for Illegals as Inflation Slashes Americans' Wages

Two House Democrats are planning to unveil a massive amnesty plan for illegal aliens even as Americans’ wages have been slashed by record-setting inflation.

Rep. Zoe Lofgren (D-CA), a congressional ally to Silicon Valley’s tech corporations, and Norma Torres (D-CA) are set to unveil the amnesty plan that would enable millions of illegal aliens to secure green cards as long as they can prove they arrived in the United States before a particular date.

Biden mulls declaring a 'climate emergency,' taking page out of COVID-19 playbook - American Wire News
"President Joe Biden has been facing renewed pressure to declare a climate emergency, and conservatives worry that, with such power at his disposal, the president could take over the American people’s lives all over again, but even worse this time.
“If Biden declares a #ClimateEmergency, it will be the next COVID.
Everything’s been set up for Biden to bypass Congress and take unconstitutional power over your lives and businesses,” conservative radio show host Glenn Beck explained in a tweet.
Recall that during the height of the COVID pandemic, left-wing governors used emergency powers to force unconstitutional diktats on their constituents, ranging from workplace vaccine mandates to orders that certain businesses stay closed...

New documents reveal ‘huge’ scale of US government’s cell phone location data tracking
"The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) used mobile location data to track people’s movements on a much larger scale than previously known, according to new documents unearthed by the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU).
...However, new documents obtained by the ACLU through an ongoing Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit now reveal the extent of this warrantless data collection
...They also reveal that in just three days in 2018, CBP obtained records containing around 113,654 location points in the southwestern United States — more than 26 location points per minute.
...By purchasing this data from data brokers, officials are sidestepping the legal process government officials would typically need to go through in order to access cell phone data..."
