Why Women (Still) Aren't Funny - Intellectual Takeout

Why Women (Still) Aren't Funny - Intellectual Takeout
"January will mark the 10-year anniversary of Christopher Hitchens’ famous (notorious?) essay, “Why Women Aren’t Funny.”
In the impolite article, Hitchens, as only he could do, delivered a devastating exposé explaining the causes behind “the humor gap.”...

GOP Rep. Scott Perry Says FBI Agents Seized His Cell Phone | The Daily Caller

Republican Pennsylvania Sen. Scott Perry had his cell phone seized by FBI agents Tuesday, the day after the FBI raided former President Donald Trump’s residence in Mar-a-Lago, he told the Daily Caller News Foundation.

Agents confronted Perry while he was traveling with his family and seized his phone without making an attempt to contact his attorney, who would have turned the phone over to the authorities, he first told Fox News. Perry suggested the actions from the FBI in both the confiscation of his cell phone and the raiding of Mar-a-Lago belonged in a corrupt, third world country.

Here’s Boston Children’s Hospital’s informative video about ‘gender-affirming hysterectomies’ for girls
"...We just did a post Wednesday on a girl who transitioned in what she calls the lowest point of her life. She’s since detransitioned, but relayed how quickly health care providers move to provide “gender-affirming care” — in her case, top surgery, or a double mastectomy.
Here’s a video from Boston Children’s Hospital explaining the difference between a “gender-affirming” hysterectomy and your run-of-the-mill hysterectomy.

Bold MOVE, Cotton! John Harwood dragged for claiming this is what’s REALLY ‘dangerous and disturbing’ about the FBI’s Trump raid
Yeah, we know you know that we knew that you’d know this is the way people like John Harwood would comment on the FBI’s raid of Trump’s home. But it’s just so damn annoying.
And predictable. And sad. Case in point:

It’s not the actual raid on a now-citizen that’s disturbing and dangerous.
No no, it’s the people who are angry about it … they’re the real problem..."

"Among the long list or scientific papers suggesting that a solar-driven spell of global cooling is on the cards, Dr Theodor Landscheidt’s ‘New Little ICE Age Instead of Global Warming?‘ probably has the claim of priority.
Published in 2003, just a year before his death, Landscheidt’s research is standing the test of time, and is still largely on course to be proved correct.

Michigan and Ohio charter schools sue Biden admin's Department of Education - TheBlaze

On Monday, the Michigan Association of Public School Academies and the Thomas B. Fordham Institute of Ohio filed a complaint against the Biden administration's U.S. Department of Education. The charter school coalition alleged that the DOE illegally issued a rule that imposes new criteria charter schools must meet to secure grant funding. On July 6, the Department of Education published the new rule in the Federal Register, undermining the existing law. The complaint alleged that the DOE intentionally set new requirements that are designed to decrease the number of charter school programs across the United States.

China's Newest Threat to Western Civilization Could Be In Your Home Right Now
"...However, the countries seemed to have overlooked the tiny components made by Chinese companies in devices connected by the Internet of Things, the Financial Times reports.
IoT products fitted with data-transmitting sensors and connected over WiFi networks have evolved from niche industrial applications to being omnipresent in homes, offices, and some vehicles and becoming a critical component of national infrastructure.
However, China could reportedly exploit the same data from IoT devices to influence, pressure, or threaten an adversary, company, or individual.
  • Three Chinese manufacturers hold over 50% of the global market share of cellular IoT modules.
...Recently, CISA, the U.S. cyber security agency, warned of critical vulnerabilities in Chinese-made GPS-enabled IoT devices in cars and motorcycles..."

Trans activists want archeologists to stop identifying skeletons as male or female

Trans activists want archeologists to stop identifying skeletons as male or female
"We’ve known for some time now that transgender activism has been making a mess of the sciences, particularly in medicine.
Thousands of years of scientific research is being swept away as medical organizations like the American Medical Association buy into the bizarre notion that people can simply “decide” whether they are male or female.
But it’s not just the field of medicine that’s feeling the impact.
Would you have guessed that archeologists and anthropologists are coming under the same sort of pressure as well?..."
