When the "good" schools go bad.-----Teachers Not Subject to Freedom of Information Act, Court Rules

Teachers Not Subject to Freedom of Information Act, Court Rules - By Holly Wetzel
MIDLAND, Mich. — The Oakland County Circuit Court ruled yesterday that public school teachers are not considered public bodies and do not have to provide materials under Freedom of Information Act requests....
In March of 2022, the Mackinac Center filed a lawsuit against the Rochester Community School District on behalf of Carol Beth Litkouhi,
  • a Rochester parent who submitted a FOIA request to the school district to learn more about the curriculum being taught in a History of Ethnic and Gender Studies class.
  • Prior to submitting the FOIA request, Litkouhi first reached out to the teacher of the class before being repeatedly stonewalled by the district in her quest for information.
  • Even though the class had already been taught for a semester, the district responded that they were not in possession of the requested documents and were under no obligation to ask the teacher for them...

No more "fat shaming". The media/democrats are pushing these poor fools to kill themselves.

Twitter Files fuel suspicions that the FBI tipped the scales for Biden in 2020 - Washington Times

Twitter Files fuel suspicions that the FBI tipped the scales for Biden in 2020 - Washington Times

The FBI’s coordination with social media companies ahead of the 2020 presidential election, revealed in Elon Musk’s “Twitter Files,” is galvanizing long-held suspicions that the FBI ran defense for then-candidate Joseph R. Biden as his links to son Hunter Biden’s potentially illegal business schemes emerged.

Mr. Musk’s steady drip of internal documents has exposed the extent to which the FBI worked with company executives to moderate content on the platform. It included weekly meetings with Twitter executives before the company suppressed the New York Post’s October 2020 report exposing emails found on Hunter Biden’s now-infamous laptop computer. The emails refuted Mr. Biden’s claims that he didn’t know about and wasn’t involved in his son’s overseas ventures.

Musk Posts Cryptic Tweet After Calling For Fauci To Be Prosecuted | The Daily Caller

Musk tweeted Sunday that his pronouns are “prosecute/Fauci,” as Fauci steps down from his role as director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases after five decades.

While Musk didn’t initially elaborate on his tweet, Twitter user “Hodgetwins” responded “let me guess, you found messages between Twitter execs and our govt. (Fauci and team) pushing for censorship of anyone that didn’t go along with their narrative on Covid?”

November's $249 Billion Federal Budget Deficit Set a Record. Now, Congress Is Preparing To Spend Even More.
  • The government spent $501 billion in November but collected just $252 billion in revenue, meaning that about 50 cents of every dollar spent were borrowed.
  • And now Congress is gearing up to spend even more.
  • ...the federal government is now on pace to run a deficit of about $1.9 trillion, which would be the largest nonpandemic budget deficit ever and a huge increase from the $1.38 trillion deficit in the fiscal year that ended on September 30...

They Want to Shut You (and 303 Creative) Up - WSJ - By Daniel Henninger"...But proponents of speech codes regard some speech as so odious that it deserves no protection.
Reasonable people might think there is a middle ground, but let me explain political gridlock.
  • A primary reason compromise today is nigh impossible is the right recognizes that their opposition is no longer traditional liberals, such as Sen. Daniel Patrick Moynihan, but instead progressives such as Sen. Chuck Schumer, who will pocket any concession and immediately commence expanding it past the boundaries of the compromise.
So it has been with the elastic definitions of hate speech.
  • “Hate speech” in earlier arguments to ban it was equated with “fighting words” and incitements to violence, which don’t receive First Amendment protection. But increasingly, the self-righteous left has donned the halo of antidiscrimination laws to create a society that bans an array of spoken and written opinions they just don’t like. In their world, virtually any expression uncongenial to their views can be defined as “violence” of some sort...

Ain't gonna happen!-----Electric Grid Unprepared for Electric Big Rigs

Electric Grid Unprepared for Electric Big Rigs
"Electric utility company National Grid released a study on requirements for electric vehicle (EV) charging stations along long-distance highways, with a focus on heavy trucks.
The finding that got the most attention in trucking circles is: “The charging capacity required to supply a large passenger vehicle travel center/truck stop will be roughly equivalent to the electric load of a small town.”
  • ...First, is it conceivable that the United States will have enough electricity capacity to meet the projected need for an all-electric motor vehicle fleet by 2050 or 2060?
  • Second, is battery electric the most cost-effective approach for heavy, long-distance trucks?...

Newsom says California about to 'break' amid flood of illegal migrants when Title 42 expires | Fox News

In September, Newsom signed a bill allowing illegal immigrants to obtain state ID, saying, "We’re a state of refuge — a majority-minority state, where 27% of us are immigrants."

In January, Newsom unveiled his 2022-23 California budget plan, which included universal health care benefits for all low-income residents, including illegal migrants.
