Meanwhile, increasing chatter about Hillary’s admitted medical condition, hypothyroidism.

By the way, the media is of course in Circle the Wagons mode around Hillary.

CNN’s very liberal media critic (would they hire any other kind?) calls Sean Hannity’s questions about Hillary’s health“reckless.”

And yet his colleague at CNN, Sanjay Gupta, has penned an article asking if Trump is at high risk for heart disease.

Will Stetler mention this? Of course not; the Guild knows its own and the Guild protects its own.
In May of 2008, Gupta also strongly questioned then 71 year old John McCain’s health — including his mental health as a former POW — during an interview with Katie Couric, in order to help CBS and Time-Warner-CNN-HBO’s preferred candidate to cross the finish line. ABC’s Charles Gibson also asked that same month if McCain had sustained any “psychological damage,” asNewsBusters notes in a post today headlined “Nets Skeptical of McCain Health in 2008, Worried About Mental Fitness.”

The British government’s Channel program offers de-radicalization services to those deemed to be at risk. The service is voluntary, however. Last year, out of 245 people identified as at risk of joining the Islamic State, 117 refused government help, reported the Daily Mail.

  • The data was revealed via a freedom of information request submitted by the BBC’s  “World At One” program.

‘Shame on You’: Gold Star Mom Unloads on Colin Kaepernick for Refusing to Stand During National Anthem | TheBlaze.com:

"San Fransisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick became the subject of heated debate — literally — when he refused to stand for the national anthem during a preseason game last week, and now a Gold Star mom is weighing in on the issue.

“My heart is exploding, my lungs are without air, my blood is boiling, my body is shaking, and tears are running down my face,” the mother, whose comments were first shared by CNN’s Jake Tapper, wrote of the athlete’s controversial decision."

Walter E. Williams: College Campus Lunacy

Walter E. Williams: College Campus Lunacy — The Patriot Post:
"As the fall semester begins, parents, students, taxpayers and donors should be made aware of official college practices that should disgust us all.

  • Hampshire College will offer some of its students what the school euphemistically calls “identity-based housing.” That’s segregated housing for students who — because of their race, culture, gender or sexual orientation — have “historically experienced oppression.” I’d bet the rent money that Hampshire College will not offer Jewish, Irish, Polish, Chinese or Catholic students segregated housing. Because there is no group of people who have not faced oppression, Hampshire College is guilty of religious and ethnic discrimination in its housing segregation policy.
  • University of Connecticut administrators think that more black men will graduate if they spend more time together. According to Campus Reform, they are building a new residence hall to facilitate just that. Dr. Erik Hines, the faculty director for the program, said that the learning community “is a space for African-American men to … come together and validate their experiences that they may have on campus. … It’s also a space where they can have conversation and also talk with individuals who come from the same background who share the same experience.” By the way, Hampshire College and the University of Connecticut are not alone in promoting racially segregated student housing.

Then there’s an effort for racial segregation in classes.

  • Moraine Valley Community College attempted it in a class titled “College: Changes, Challenges, Choices.” It mandated that some class sections be “limited to African-American students.” The college defended racially segregated classes by saying that they make students “feel comfortable.” After facing massive national notoriety, the college just recently abandoned its racial segregation agenda.
  • Suppose a student at Ripon College enrolls in a chemistry, math or economics class. What do you think ought to be the subject matter? Zachariah Messitte, Ripon’s president, who is also a professor in the politics and government department, has encouraged fellow professors to disparage Donald Trump, arguing that it’s “fine” for professors to “acknowledge Trump’s narrow-minded rhetoric” in class, suggesting that Trump’s “bigotry” is a valid topic for most any course.."

Tech firm brags about blocking FBI from recovering Clinton emails

Tech firm brags about blocking FBI from recovering Clinton emails | Washington Examiner:
"A technology company that provided the program Hillary Clinton's team used to scrub her private server of emails bragged on its website Thursday that it had prevented the FBI from accessing deleted records.
BleachBit, the publicly-available application that was used to deleted some of Clinton's emails ahead of an FBI investigation, said it had not yet been served a subpoena over its involvement in the destruction of potentially classified records.
A headline on the company's website read: "BleachBit stifles investigation of Hillary Clinton."
Rep. Trey Gowdy brought the involvement of the program to light Thursday when he told Fox News that Clinton's emails were so fully deleted that "even God can't read them...""

"His latest refusal to stand for the anthem — he has done this in at least one other preseason game — came before the 49ers preseason loss to Green Bay at Levi’s Stadium.

JOEL KOTKIN on why Blue cities are such cesspits of inequality.
There’s little argument that inequality, and the depressed prospects for the middle class, will be a dominant issue in this year’s election, and beyond. Yet the class divide is not monolithic in its nature, causes, or geography. To paraphrase George Orwell’s Animal Farm, some places are more unequal than others.

Housing represents a central, if not dominant, factor in the rise of inequality. Although the cost of food, fuel, electricity, and tax burdens vary, the largest variation tends to be in terms of housing prices. Even adjusted for income, the price differentials for houses in places like the San Francisco Bay Area or Los Angeles are commonly two to three times as much as in most of the country, including the prosperous cities of Texas, the mid-south and the Intermountain West.

These housing differences also apply to rents, which follow the trajectory of home prices. In many markets, particularly along the coast, upwards of 40% of renters and new buyers spend close to half their income on housing. This has a particularly powerful impact on the poor, the working class, younger people, and middle class families, all of whom find their upward trajectory blocked by steadily rising housing costs.

In response to higher prices, many Americans, now including educated Millennials, are heading to parts of the country where housing is more affordable. Jobs too have been moving to such places, particularly in Texas, the southeast and the Intermountain West. As middle income people head for more affordable places, the high-priced coastal areas are becoming ever more sharply bifurcated, between a well-educated, older, and affluent population and a growing rank of people with little chance to ever buy a house or move solidly into the middle class.

Ironically, these divergences are taking place precisely in those places where political rhetoric over inequality is often most heated and strident. Progressive attempts, such as raising minimum wages, attempt to address the problem, but often other policies, notably strict land-use regulation, exacerbate inequality.

The other major divide is not so much between regions but within them. Even in expensive regions, middle class families tend to cluster in suburban and exurban areas, which are once again growing faster than areas closer to the core. Progressive policies in some states, such as Oregon and California, have been calculated to slow suburban growth and force density onto often unwilling communities. By shutting down the production of family-friendly housing, these areas are driving prices up and, to some extent, driving middle and working class people out of whole regions.
They’ll turn us all into beggars ’cause they’re easier to please."

Chicago Teachers Union ‘likely’ to strike — because property tax hike isn’t big enough

Chicago Teachers Union ‘likely’ to strike — because property tax hike isn’t big enough | EAGnews.org:
"CHICAGO – Chicago Public Schools approved a $5.4 billion budget for next school year that relies on three property tax hikes for local residents, but teachers union officials contend it’s not enough.
The budget will increase the district’s regular property tax levy to the maximum allowed under state law, a CPS tradition for the last two decades.
But district officials also plan to tax residents specifically for capital improvements, and will impose a new tax to pump an estimated $250 million into teacher pensions, the Chicago Tribune reports.
According to the site:
CPS officials say the district’s total tax increases would cost the owner of a $250,000 home an extra $245.
The CPS tax hikes represent the latest financial pain city government has inflicted. Homeowners this month started feeling the effect of last year’s record city property tax hike to shore up police and fire pensions, a $554 annual increase for the owner of a $250,000 home that’s being phased in over four years.
The additional taxes are on top of a new $1.40 a month fee for cell phone users and landlines to pay city laborers’ pensions, as well as a proposed water and sewer tax that would increase the cost for an average user by $115.20 a year to find a city municipal workers’ pension fund.
That fee would come after the city recently doubled water and sewer rates and added a $9.50 a month garbage fee, the Tribune reports."

Stay Frosty Antarctica

Stay Frosty Antarctica | The Resilient Earth
"There is a constant stream of scientific studies that report on melting ice in various parts of the world. Some from mountain glaciers, some from the arctic pack ice, some from Greenland, and some from the mother-load of glacial ice, Antarctica.
Antarctica, the continent that covers Earth's south pole, contains more frozen water than all other deposits of glacial ice on the planet combined.
The collapse of the Antarctic ice shelves, causing oceans to rise and all sorts of climate mayhem, is a favorite theme of climate alarmists everywhere.
Unfortunately for them, new reports tell a different story.
It seems that the Antarctic Peninsula has actually cooled over the past two decades.
Moreover, all the hoopla about this being the hottest year ever is contradicted by findings from Antarctic ice cores that during the Eemian, the last interglacial (LIG; 130,000–115,000 years ago), global climate was warmer than today and global mean sea level was 6-9 m higher.
Sorry to dampen the hysteria with actual science.
Every few years there appears a spate of articles and even TV reports that the ice of Antarctica is about to disintegrate and drown us all.
This is reported in serious tones by well coiffed media airheads who have not a clue what they are talking about.
But this is OK, many scientists don't either.
You see, there is nothing settled about climate science, especially about what is going on at the bottom of the world.
...And just for the record, there were humans around during the Eemian interglacial, so for some nitwit to say that “2016 is the hottest year any human has ever experienced on Earth” is pure climate alarmist bullshit.
The good news is, whatever happens in terms of Earth's changing climate, humans have the ability to adapt and survive.
Maybe not the climate catastrophe Chicken Littles, but the rest of us.
So take a clue from Antarctica and stay frosty people.
Be safe, enjoy the interglacial, and stay skeptical.

President Obama Said Pallet of Cash to Iran Because “Wire Transfers Not Available” – Records Indicate Wire Transfers Two Days Later… | The Last Refuge
"...When the discussion of possible ransom payments to Iran surfaced, everyone was wondering why the U.S. State Department sent pallets of assorted cash currency, totaling $400 million to Iran on January 17th 2016.
The same day the hostages were released.
On August 4th President Obama held a press conference to discuss the controversy and denied it was a “ransom payment” (see video).
Specifically, to answer the question of “why cash“, President Obama said:
[06:05] “and the only bit of news that is relevant on this, is the fact that we paid cash.
Which brings me to my last point.
The reason that we had to give them cash is precisely because we are so strict in maintaining sanctions, and we do not have a banking relationship with Iran, that we couldn’t send them a check; and we could not wire the money.
And it is not at all clear to me why it is that cash, as opposed to a check or a wire transfer has made this into a news story”. [06:46]
However, two days later, January 19th 2016, the U.S. Treasury wired Iran 13 individual payments for $99,999,999.99 , each with an independent MICR, totaling $1,299,999,999.87.
...Source Link – Go to U.S. Treasury Search, enter Jan 01 -> Jan 31, 2016. Select “Department of State”, (expand optional search fields) and at the bottom enter $99,999,999.99 and presto, the above appears..."

HILLARY Releases Nasty White Supremacist Ad Against Trump -- Forgets to Mention She Took $20,000 from KKK This Year

hillary kkkHILLARY Releases Nasty White Supremacist Ad Against Trump -- Forgets to Mention She Took $20,000 from KKK This Year:
Hillary released this disgusting ad on the KKK and Trump today.
There's a reason the most hateful fringe of the right wing is supporting Donald Trump.https://t.co/AqB3DM2m0N
Of course, she forgot to mention she took $20,000 from the Ku Klux Klan this year.
The Washington Times reported:
Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign has received more than $20,000 in donations contributed by members of the Ku Klux Klan, a prominent member of the hate group said Monday.
“For the KKK, Clinton is our choice,” said Will Quigg, California Grand Dragon for the Loyal White Knights, Vocativ reported.
Mr. Quigg, the leader of the Klan’s California chapter, announced last month that he had abandoned supporting Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump in lieu of backing his likely Democratic opponent. The Klansman claims that members have raised more than $20,000 for Mrs. Clinton and have donated it anonymously to her campaign.
“She is friends with the Klan,” Mr. Quigg told Vocativ. “A lot of people don’t realize that.”
Clinton campaign spokesman Josh Schwein disputed the grand dragon’s claim and said the former secretary of state has rejected the group’s endorsement.

And don’t forget about her Confederate Flag campaign pins!

Robbing the New (Uber) to Subsidize the Old (Taxis)

Robbing the New (Uber) to Subsidize the Old (Taxis) - Bloomberg View:
"Ronald Reagan famously summed up the logic of government thusly:
“If it moves, tax it.
If it keeps moving, regulate it.
And if it stops moving, subsidize it.”
Uber and Lyft move, so naturally, the state of Massachusetts wants to tax them.
And since taxis aren’t moving nearly as much as they used to, the state wants to hand about a quarter of the tax -- five cents out of a 20-cent per-ride levy -- to the taxi industry.
Image result for “If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.”This is … words fail.
No, literally.
I have just spent 20 minutes staring at my screen, trying to come up with something to say other than the blindingly obvious:
This is a shamelessly unjustifiable giveaway to a special interest, paid for by taxing a competitor that’s eating their lunch.
