Teachers Union Leaders Devastated that So Many Members Voted Trump - Breitbart

Teachers Union Leaders Devastated that So Many Members Voted Trump - Breitbart:

"Despite the fact that teachers union bosses were all in for Hillary and made a heavy push for members to jump on the Clinton bandwagon, exit polls revealed that a large number of teachers ignored their leaders and voted for Trump. Now union officials are engaging in finger pointing and recriminations."

How they think-----NY Times columnist: Trump presidency is 'obscene'

NY Times columnist: Trump presidency is 'obscene' | Washington Examiner
"New York Times columnist Charles Blow wrote this week that he gladly skipped President-elect Trump's visit to the paper, and that Trump's presidency is "obscene."
"You are a fraud and a charlatan," Blow wrote.
"Yes, you will be president, but you will not get any breaks just because one branch of your forked tongue is silver."
"I am not easily duped by dopes," he wrote.
"I have not only an ethical and professional duty to call out how obscene your very existence is at the top of American government;
I have a moral obligation to do so."
..."Unrepentant opportunism belies a staggering lack of character and caring that can't simply be vanquished from memory.
You did real harm to this country and many of its citizens, and I will never — never — forget that."
He said as he listened to the transcript of the meeting, "the slime factor was overwhelming."
"You are an aberration and abomination who is willing to do and say anything — no matter whom it aligns you with and whom it hurts — to satisfy your ambitions," he wrote.
During the meeting, Trump called the New York Times a "great, great American jewel. A world jewel."

Compare and Contrast: DONALD TRUMP vs OBAMA on Tyrant Fidel Castro's Death

Compare and Contrast: DONALD TRUMP vs OBAMA on Tyrant Fidel Castro's Death:
"...Obama would not condemn this evil man.
Instead, Obama said “history will record and judge the enormous impact of this singular figure on the people and world around him.”
What the hell was that supposed to mean?
Statement by the President on the Passing of Fidel Castro
At this time of Fidel Castro’s passing, we extend a hand of friendship to the Cuban people. We know that this moment fills Cubans – in Cuba and in the United States – with powerful emotions, recalling the countless ways in which Fidel Castro altered the course of individual lives, families, and of the Cuban nation. History will record and judge the enormous impact of this singular figure on the people and world around him.
For nearly six decades, the relationship between the United States and Cuba was marked by discord and profound political disagreements. During my presidency, we have worked hard to put the past behind us, pursuing a future in which the relationship between our two countries is defined not by our differences but by the many things that we share as neighbors and friends – bonds of family, culture, commerce, and common humanity. This engagement includes the contributions of Cuban Americans, who have done so much for our country and who care deeply about their loved ones in Cuba.
Today, we offer condolences to Fidel Castro’s family, and our thoughts and prayers are with the Cuban people. In the days ahead, they will recall the past and also look to the future. As they do, the Cuban people must know that they have a friend and partner in the United States of America...
Now here is President-elect Donald Trump’s statement that was just sent out:
President-Elect Donald J. Trump Statement
Today, the world marks the passing of a brutal dictator who oppressed his own people for nearly six decades. Fidel Castro’s legacy is one of firing squads, theft, unimaginable suffering, poverty and the denial of fundamental human rights.
“While Cuba remains a totalitarian island, it is my hope that today marks a move away from the horrors endured for too long, and toward a future in which the wonderful Cuban people finally live in the freedom they so richly deserve.
“Though the tragedies, deaths and pain caused by Fidel Castro cannot be erased, our administration will do all it can to ensure the Cuban people can finally begin their journey toward prosperity and liberty. I join the many Cuban Americans who supported me so greatly in the presidential campaign, including the Brigade 2506 Veterans Association that endorsed me, with the hope of one day soon seeing a free Cuba.”
It’s going to be good to have a president elect who knows the difference between good and evil once again.

Illegals advised on how to escape deportation

Illegals advised on how to escape deportation | Washington Examiner
"Mexico and three other Central American governments are scrambling to help citizens who are in the United States illegally avoid deportation under a Trump administration, warning them to avoid making "hasty" moves that might make them a target for ouster.
Foreign ministers of Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras met this week to address concerns about President-elect Trump's plan to deport illegals, mostly those with criminal records. Their goal:

  • Calm the fears of illegals,
  • help them avoid deportation, and
  • keep the flood of money they send home going.

Mexico and Guatemala announced plans to expand immigration services at their dozens of offices in the United States..."

Trump Wins Michigan; Becomes First Republican to Do So Since 1988

Trump Wins Michigan; Becomes First Republican to Do So Since 1988:

"Donald Trump has officially won the state of Michigan, making him the first Republican to do so since George H. W. Bush in 1988.
In the tightest race in Michigan’s electoral history, Donald Trump defeated Hillary Clinton by 10,704 votes after results from all 83 of the state’s county clerks were counted and certified.

This brings Donald Trump’s electoral vote total to 306. Hillary Clinton’s is 232."

No Time for Showtime

No Time for Showtime | Mickey Kaus:
Does President-Elect Trump understand:
1) That the immigration issue is at the heart of his election.
The Trump supporters who voted on the issue not only reflect majority support for most of his policies, but they tend to care about the issue intensely.
If Trump backs down on the clear policies in his big August 31 immigration speech, including
On day one, we will begin working on an impenetrable, physical, tall, power, beautiful southern border wall.
he will dissolve this base of support.
Since he has no other big base of support — not the Democrats who hate him, not established Republicans, who may hate him even more — he’ll be Wile E. Coyote in mid-air, with nothing under him.  (Psst. It takes a simple majority to impeach.)
2) That by design, tradition, and circumstance, it’s grindingly hard for a president to get new laws through Congress.
Our presidents are weak that way.
One of the few proven openings for action is the first 100 or so days of a new administration, when the public’s most willing to give an incoming chief executive the chance to try his policies.
If Trump doesn’t appoint people who will push hard from their first minute in office, he’s unlikely to get the laws — to expand the E-Verify system (to check the status of new hires), lower future legal immigration levels, maybe funding for the wall  — he needs.
Much more.

Taylor Volk, North Park University student, fabricated anti-gay 'Trump' notes

Taylor Volk, North Park University student, fabricated anti-gay 'Trump' notes - Washington Times
"An openly bisexual Chicago student who claimed she received anti-gay, pro-Donald Trump notes and emails after the election is found to have fabricated the entire story, North Park University said.
Taylor Volk told a local NBC News affiliate that she found one of the notes taped to her door at her off-campus residence, which read “Back to hell” and “#Trump” along with homophobic slurs.
“This is a countrywide epidemic all of a sudden,” she said on Nov. 14.
“I just want them to stop.”
She had also posted pictures of notes with homophobic slurs to her Facebook account, NBC reported.
The university investigated the alleged harassment and determined this week that Ms. Volk had fabricated the story.
“Sadly, we discovered that the incident and related messages were fabricated; the individual responsible for the incident is not continuing as a student at North Park,” the Christian university’s President David Parkyn said in a statement.
“We are confident there is no further threat of repeated intolerance to any member of our campus community stemming from this recent incident.”"

ALERT: Trump's STUNNING Move About Hillary Scandals May Not Be What It Seems

ALERT: Trump's STUNNING Move About Hillary Scandals May Not Be What It Seems:

"A lot of Americans, especially Democrat members of Congress, seem to have forgotten during the imperial presidency of Barack Obama that Congress is a branch of power equal to the presidency (more powerful in some ways). If the Republicans who hold a majority in both houses decide they want to continue to investigate Clinton, there’s nothing stopping them.

And Republicans after Trump’s election certainly sounded determined to go ahead, which could be the overarching master plan that Trump can use to his political advantage."

Energy Poverty Is Much Worse for the Poor Than Climate Change

Energy Poverty Is Much Worse for the Poor Than Climate Change - Reason.com
"Some 1.2 billion people do not have access to electricity, according to the International Energy Agency's World Energy Outlook 2016 report.
About 2.7 billion still cook and heat their dwellings with wood, crop residues, and dung.
Image result for Energy PovertyIn its main scenario for the trajectory of global energy consumption, the IEA projects that in 2040, half a billion people will still lack access to electricity and 1.8 billion will still be cooking and heating by burning biomass.
The agency defines the initial threshold for modern energy access as 250 kilowatt-hours (kwh) for rural and 500 kwh for urban households per year.
How much is that?
"In rural areas, this level of consumption could, for example, provide for the use of a floor fan, a mobile telephone and two compact fluorescent light bulbs for about five hours per day," the IEA explains.
For comparison, in 2015 the average annual electricity consumption for a U.S. household was 10,812 kwh—43 times the IEA's energy access threshold for rural households..."

Democrats Promise to Do the Very Thing They Claim to Hate

Democrats Promise to Do the Very Thing They Claim to Hate:

"Of course, it’s worth pointing out that what the Republican Party did while they had control of Congress was not obstructionism. It was exercising their advise and consent role to a president who much preferred that his pen and phone do all the talking.

Now, though, voters have put the Republican Party in control of both the legislative and executive branches, which means that the opponents of imaginary obstructionism have become the proponents of very real obstructionism. If that doesn’t show you how hypocritical Democrats are, I don’t know what will."

Less than 3 percent of Ithaca College professors identify as Republicans

Less than 3 percent of Ithaca College professors identify as Republicans - The College Fix:
"Ithaca College has a total of 10 Republican professors between three schools: humanities, sciences and business — and four of the 10 teach in the much smaller School of Business, a survey of professors’ party registrations reveals.
Of the 27 departments researched, many lacked even one Republican professor, including the History, Philosophy and Religion, and Politics departments.
Overall, 46.5 percent of professors researched are registered as Democrats, while only 2.6 percent are registered Republicans.
In total, 182 Democrat professors were identified compared to 10 Republican professors, a ratio of nearly 20 to one.
Asked about the slant, a university spokesman told The College Fix in an e-mail “We neither ask about nor keep track of the political affiliations of our faculty members.”
Many of the Republican professors at Ithaca were e-mailed by The College Fix to ask for confirmation and comment on being one of the few Republicans at the university — and the ones who did reply indicated they were too nervous to speak publicly about their political leanings...

Baton Rouge agrees to pay Black Lives Matter protesters $100,000 - CSMonitor.com
"Four agencies, including local and state police, agreed to pay up to $25,000 apiece for a total of about $100,000 to settle a federal class action lawsuit filed by activists arrested while protesting the death of Alton Sterling.
Ninety-two protestors who were arrested last summer while demonstrating after Alton Sterling was shot and killed by police in Baton Rouge, La., will receive financial compensation from local and state authorities, whom the activists accused of excessive force and violating their constitutional rights to freedom of speech and assembly.
Rather than proceed to trial in a federal class action lawsuit filed by the arrested protestors, the Baton Rouge Metro Council approved a settlement Tuesday, agreeing to have four agencies pay prominent Black Lives Matter activist DeRay Mckesson and fellow plaintiffs about $100,000 in total..."

University of Michigan students demand segregated 'safe space' for African-Americans after Trump's victory

University of Michigan students demand segregated 'safe space' for African-Americans after Trump's victory:
"A group of University of Michigan students is calling on school officials to create a segregated safe space for African-Americans in the wake of Donald Trump's election, The Federalist reports.
The group Students 4 Justice said Trump's election means that they "now have their lives at risk," and that the campus police can no longer protect them because "the police, as a union, has endorsed Trump."
"Placing us in the police's care is an act of anti-Black violence," the group wrote.
The students demand that the university provide funding and hire staff to operate this "Black space," which would be designed as a "recreational and safe space for Black people at the University."
Calls for similar designated areas for distressed students have seen an uptick since the election results rolled out.

REALLY? Township In New Jersey Being SUED By The Justice Department For Rejecting a Mosque – American Lookout:
"This is yet another example of our politicized Justice Department acting like left wing social justice warriors.
If a conservative Christian group was denied by a liberal community, do you think the Justice Department would get involved to defend the Christians?
Highly unlikely.
The Washington Examiner reports:
Justice Dept. sues NJ township for rejecting mosque
The Justice Department announced on Tuesday it is suing Bernards Township, N.J., because it denied zoning approval for the Islamic Society of Basking Ridge to build a mosque on land it owns.
The township in December unanimously voted down the Islamic Society’s application to build a mosque, which the Justice Department says violates the Religious Land Use and Institutionalized Persons Act.
In the complaint, filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, the department said the denial was discriminatory based on the Islamic Society’s members’ religion.
The denial imposed a substantial burden on the Islamic Society’s religious exercise, according to the complaint, it said.
A fashion designer has refused to do business with Melania Trump.

Of course not.
But why?
Because our Justice Department under Obama reflects his left wing values.

France on the Verge of Total Collapse

France on the Verge of Total Collapse:
  • France did not perceive it at the time, but it placed itself in a trap, and the trap is now closing.
  • In the 1970s, the Palestinians began to use international terrorism, and France chose to accept this terrorism so long as France was not affected. At the same time, France welcomed mass-immigration from the Arab-Muslim world, evidently as part of a Muslim wish to expand Islam. France's Muslim population has since grown in numbers while failing to assimilate.
  • Polls show that one-third of French Muslims want the full application of Islamic sharia law. They also show that the overwhelming majority of French Muslims support jihad, and especially jihad against Israel, a country they would like to see erased from the face of earth.
  • "It is better to leave than flee." -- Sammy Ghozlan, President of the National Bureau of Vigilance against Anti-Semitism. He was later mugged, and his car was torched. He left.
  • Villiers also mentions the presence in "no-go zones" of thousands of weapons of war. He adds that weapons will probably not even have to be used; the Islamists have already won.
  • Originally, France's dreams might have been of displacing America as a world power, accessing inexpensive oil, business deals with oil-rich Islamic states, and the prayer of no domestic terrorism.

No terrorist attacks have taken place since the slaughter of a priest in Saint-Etienne-du-Rouvray on July 26, 2016, but intelligence services see that jihadists have returned from the Middle East and are ready to act, and that riots may break out anywhere, any time, on any pretext.
Although overwhelmed by a domestic situation it barely controls, the French government still intervene in the world affairs: a "Palestinian state" is still its favorite cause, Israel its favorite scapegoat..."

What happens when they are in power-----Special Bus Service for Women in Post-Coup Istanbul

Special Bus Service for Women in Post-Coup Istanbul:
"Amid a climate of growing violence toward women in Turkey, female passengers on public buses in Istanbul after 10 pm will now be able to exit the bus anywhere on the route, whether there is a bus stop or not.
The measure, instituted to increase the safety of women, addresses the reality that women face in the city of more than 14 million citizens.
Violence against women in Turkey – already at a crisis level – has dramatically increased since the failed coup attempt against Islamist president and AK party (AKP) member Recep Erdogan last July.
“The coup, the war, AKP’s backwardness or jihadist mobs … they all target women,” said the University Women’s Collective in a statement.
Women connected to the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) pointed as the “male-dominated, militarist mentality” currently dominating Turkish politics as the cause for the uptick.
Since Erdogan’s Islamist party came to power in Turkey in 2003, violence against women has skyrocketed.
Statistics taken between 2003 and 2010 by the Turkish Ministry of Justice indicate there was a 1,400 percent increase in the number of murders of women, including 300 cases per year where women had asked for a divorce.
By 2009, the minister of justice said that 953 women were murdered that year, and in 2010, the government stopped keeping statistics.
Journalist Cicek Tahaoglu, who writes for the news outlet Bianet, said that her own finding show that the number of murder rose 31 percent between 2013 and 2014 alone."

Denver Sheriff's Department fined $10k for hiring only U.S. citizens
The Washington Examiner has more:
“The Denver Sheriff Department will accept a penalty from the Department of Justice after a federal probe found it wrongly made U.S. citizenship a job requirement during a recent hiring spree.
The sheriff’s department — the biggest sheriff’s office in Colorado — will pay a $10,000 fine after it required applications for deputy sheriff jobs to be U.S. citizens when hiring from the beginning of 2015 through March 2016....
The department will also have to go through old applications to find applicants who were eliminated because of their citizenship status and reconsider them for future jobs.
The Justice Department made the announcement on Monday, saying the sheriff’s department violated the Immigration and Nationality Act without having an exemption.”
