Can you handle the truth?-----Dan Bongino Presentation of “Spygate”… | The Last Refuge

Dan Bongino Presentation of “Spygate”… | The Last Refuge
"Dan Bongino delivers speech about “Spygate” during David Horowitz Freedom Center Restoration Weekend 2018.
His presentation outlines how the big threads all connect to weave a very specific conspiracy.
Great presentation:

"One of the key points Bongino highlights is how none of the paper-trail; nothing about the substance of the conspiracy; can possibly surface until *after* Robert Mueller is no longer in the picture.
Until Robert Mueller is removed, none of this information can/will surface.
That’s why every political and media entity are desperate to protect Mueller; and also why Mueller’s investigation will never end.

"Billions will keep flowing from Michigan taxpayers to a few corporations until at least 2032
In 2017, the Michigan House of Representatives rejected a promised reduction in the state’s income tax rate.
That tax cut, had it been passed, would have saved individuals and households $463 million this year. Opponents deemed the measure a budget buster.
But this year, the state of Michigan will pay $623 million in taxpayer-funded subsidies to a small number of favored corporations.
Many of the recipients have likely been collecting large payments for years.
The last of these payments won’t be sent to companies until 2032..."

The capital city will pool data from several departments to reward and punish some 22 million citizens based on their actions and reputations by the end of 2020, according to a plan posted on the Beijing municipal government’s website on Monday. Those with better so-called social credit will get “green channel” benefits while those who violate laws will find life more difficult.

Worried About Mass Shootings? Be Glad You’re An American | Power Line
See the source image"Liberals constantly assert, without citing any data, that the U.S. is alone among civilized nations in suffering the phenomenon of mass shootings.
Like so many claims, it suits the Left’s narrative while being entirely untrue.
John Lott explains:
People have been acting for a long time like the United States is the world’s hotbed of mass public shootings. Following a 2015 mass shooting during his administration, President Barack Obama declared: “The one thing we do know is that we have a pattern now of mass shootings in this country that has no parallel anywhere else in the world.”
This belief is constantly used to push for more gun control. If we can only get rid of guns in the United States, we will get rid of these mass public shootings and be more like the rest of the world, gun-control supporters preach.
But America doesn’t lead the world in mass public shootings. We’re not even close. …
Over the course of 18 years, from 1998 to 2015, our list contains 2,354 attacks and at least 4,880 shooters outside the United States and 53 attacks and 57 shooters within this country. By our count, the U.S. makes up 1.49 percent of the murders worldwide, 2.20 percent of the attacks, and less than 1.15 percent of the mass public shooters. All these are much less than America’s 4.6 percent share of the world population.
Of the 97 countries where we identified mass public shootings, the U.S. ranks 64th per capita in its rate of attacks and 65th in fatalities. Major European countries, such as Norway, Finland, France, Switzerland and Russia, all have at least 25 percent higher per capita murder rates from mass public shootings..."

"Surprise Trump House Victory – Establishment Republicans Lost the House
Looking at the 2018 election results in detail, you will find some surprises including an important and subtle surprise Trump House victory.
Contrary to some analyst opinions, Trump did not lose the House.
In fact, Trump was not the cause of the loss of the House from Republican control to Democratic control.

Similarly, there’s no reason for the Democrats to celebrate for too long because it is highly likely they will lose control of the House in 2020.
If the Democrats didn’t really win the House and the House wasn’t lost by Trump, what did happen and why?
The Establishment Republicans, also known as the moderate Republicans or the RINOs (Republicans in name only) lost the House.
The numbers seem to back up that dramatic claim.
The President’s supporters in the House, the pro-Trumpers, those who supported President Trump’s major policy initiatives enthusiastically, did great.
That was a surprise Trump House victory.

How Did the 42 Republican Seats in which the Incumbent Retired or Resigned Do in the Election?

All together 28 House Republicans chose to retire at the end of the current Congress. Another 14 House Republicans chose to resign.
The 42 House Republicans who either retired or resigned can be divided up according to their apparent reasons for their respective decisions:
I think the House has had the old Establishment Republican members almost completely removed from office by the American voters...
With this surprise Trump House victory, the conservative long-range trends continue. In the long-range, Establishment Republicans in the House and Senate are losing and Conservative Republicans in the House and Senate are winning and replacing them.

What’s the Outlook for the House in 2020?

It will return into Republican hands, and it will be much more conservative.
Expect that it will support President Trump more closely in his second term of office."

French President Emmanuel Macron’s popularity is sagging as he continues to push an environmental agenda aimed at cutting his country’s carbon emissions. Around 26 percent of French people have confidence in Macron, according to an October poll of 1,000 people by Kantar Public.
Around 73 percent of French people support the protests, according to an Elabe poll.

Hot Times In Your Home Town? | Power Line
"As part of its effort to promote global warming hysteria, the New York Times has published an interactive feature titled How Much Hotter Is Your Home Town Than When You Were Born?
...He found that temperatures have cooled there, by the Times’ measure, since 1960.
I tried the same thing with my home town, Watertown, South Dakota, and got the same result:
Our dataset goes back to 1960, when you were 10. Back then, the Watertown area could expect about 14 days per year to reach at least 90 degrees. Today, the Watertown area can expect 10 days at or above 90 degrees, on average.
Here is the chart for my home town:
My point in this post is not to rehash the many arguments surrounding the global warming theory, but rather to pose a question: Why is it that so many people seem willing to believe that their environment has gotten significantly hotter, even when that claim is, or should be, contradicted by their own experience?..."

Is RCP8.5 an impossible scenario? | Climate Etc.

Is RCP8.5 an impossible scenario? | Climate Etc.
"In considering ‘worst case’ climate change impacts, we first need to assess the realistic worst case for global carbon emissions.
The recently published U.S. National Climate Assessment shows that we are currently on track for RCP8.5.
...Larry Kummer wrote a 2015 guest post at Climate Etc. entitled A closer look at scenario RCP8.5.  LK describes RCP8.5 as a “useful worst case scenario.”
RCP8.5 figures prominently in the most alarming of future climate scenarios.
I am wondering if RCP8.5 is too extreme, in the sense that is may be impossible, given constraints on recoverable fossil fuel supply.
In particular, there is a fairly large number of papers arguing that assumptions about coal are incorrect: (list of papers courtesy of LK)...
Climate projections are based on emission scenarios.
The emission scenarios used by the IPCC and by mainstream climate scientists are largely derived from the predicted demand for fossil fuels, and in our view take insufficient consideration of the constrained emissions that are likely due to the depletion of these fuels.
This paper, by contrast, takes a supply- side view of CO2 emission, and generates two supply-driven emission scenarios based on a comprehensive investigation of likely long-term pathways of fossil fuel production drawn from peer-reviewed literature published since 2000.
The potential rapid increases in the supply of the non-conventional fossil fuels are also investigated. Climate projections calculated in this paper indicate that the future atmospheric CO2 concentration will not exceed 610 ppm in this century; and that the increase in global surface temperature will be lower than 2.6 C compared to pre-industrial level even if there is a significant increase in the production of non-conventional fossil fuels..."

Latest Antifa Clash in Portland Shows Need for Ban on Masks at Rallies:

Image result for flickr commons images antifa mobDueling #MeToo and #HimToo rallies in Portland, Oregon, over the weekend resulted in violent clashes between a mob of antifa agitators and Patriot Prayer rally-goers. According to the Portland Police website: "Officers observed sticks, glass bottles, lit road flares, bottles filled with a substance believed to be urine, & gopher gas used as projectiles."
Photojournalist Andy Ngo, who was on the ground to capture the outrageous antics of the antagonistic antifa mob, says those weapons were used exclusively by the antifa agitators.  Although there were a handful of arrests, assault complaints against masked agitators went unanswered because their identities were unknown.

French Riot Against “Green” Policies | Power Line

French Riot Against “Green” Policies | Power Line
"...What is causing the riots? Many Frenchmen are irate because the Macron government has raised taxes on gasoline:
Police fired tear gas and used water cannon to disperse protesters in Paris who are angry over rising fuel costs and President Emmanuel Macron’s economic policies, the second weekend of “yellow vest” protests that have caused disruption across France.
***
They are opposed to taxes Macron introduced last year on diesel and petrol which are designed to encourage people to shift to more environmentally friendly transport. Alongside the tax, the government has offered incentives to buy green or electric vehicles.
Electric vehicles in France would run mostly on nuclear energy, which isn’t a bad idea as long as it is price competitive. Obviously, the fact that the government raises taxes on gasoline while offering incentives for electric vehicles demonstrates that nuclear power is not, at this point, competitive with petroleum as a fuel for vehicles.
More:
The unrest is a dilemma for Macron who casts himself as a champion against climate change but has been derided as out of touch with common folk and is fighting a slump in popularity...
...Who are the demonstrators?
These are not France’s most marginalised citizens, but those who say they struggle even while working, who feel they’re bearing the brunt of France’s economic problems, while businesses and the rich get tax breaks.
Sound familiar?
Macron is often described as “pro-business,” which no doubt is true if you are a “green” energy investor. Macron’s “green” energy policies, which favor wealthy investors and virtue-signaling leftists over middle-class French citizens, illustrate the fact that being pro-business is by no means the same as being pro-free enterprise."
