MSNBC treads water during jam-packed news quarter, fails to add viewers | Fox News:

Image result for wikicommons images Rachal MaddowsThe first quarter of 2020 was filled to the brim with news, from the impeachment trial of President Trump and the contentious Democratic primary to the growing coronavirus pandemic, but MSNBC failed to add viewers, and experts say that's a serious issue for the far-left network.
“This should concern the MSNBC hierarchy,” DePauw University professor and media critic Jeffrey McCall told Fox News.
Fox News grew 38 percent among total viewers during the first quarter of 2020 compared to the same time period last year, and MSNBC's liberal rival CNN grew 26 percent, while MSNBC finished the quarter with roughly the same viewership as Q1 of 2019.

Coronavirus Brings Out the Worst In France | Power Line

Coronavirus Brings Out the Worst In France | Power Line
"The London Times reports from France.
Image result for covid FranceEven if we discount a bit for the fact that the British have often taken a jaundiced view of the French, the report is troubling:
The wartime appetite for la délation — reporting wrongdoers to the authorities — has reappeared. In country towns, people are denouncing neighbours to the gendarmerie for breaching le confinement and leaving their homes too often. …
...The virus’s impact on French political attitudes has been, from my perspective, mostly appalling:
A big majority of the country wants a more powerful protective state to emerge from the crisis. More than 70 per cent want the state to curb capitalism and nationalise key sectors, according to a Viavoice poll for today’s Libération newspaper...
I can’t explain what “curbing capitalism” has to do with the COVID-19 virus.
The predominant French reaction seems to be, “The government is corrupt, it lies about everything and betrays its citizens, let’s give it more power!”...

World Health Organization Spends Twice As Much On Travel As On Medical Supplies

World Health Organization Spends Twice As Much On Travel As On Medical Supplies
  • The World Health Organization (WHO) spends twice as much on travel as it does on medical supplies, according to its most recent financial report.
Eight percent of the WHO’s budget in 2018 went to travel expenses, while just 4% went to medical supplies and materials, the report shows.
  • WHO’s travel expenditures have faced scrutiny in the past.
The Associated Press reported in 2017 that WHO “routinely has spent about $200 million a year on travel expenses, more than what it doles out to fight some of the biggest problems in public health, including AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria combined.”...

Bokhari: Mark Zuckerberg Is Now the World's Chief Medical Officer:

Image result for flickr commons images Mark Zuckerberg Does Mark Zuckerberg know more about the Chinese virus pandemic than Brazilian president Jair Bolsonaro?
Neither has a background in medicine, but the answer is probably Bolsonaro, who is nearly thirty years Zuckerberg’s senior, and served a long career in the military, where basic medical training is usually mandatory even for non-medics. Outbreaks of disease, like Yellow Fever and the Zika virus, are more common in tropical, mosquito-prone Brazil than the U.S. Bolsonaro, like other heads of state, also has a Health Ministry, and like other world leaders no doubt receives daily briefings on the coronavirus.

  • American Airlines forced passengers to sit next to each other even though their flight was virtually empty, according to a report by Mother Jones.
  • The incident took place on a flight on March 24, which had only 11 passengers, all in basic economy, according to the outlet, citing an unnamed flight attendant.

"What Everyone’s Getting Wrong About the Toilet Paper Shortage:

Bottom line: There are separate consumer and office TP supply chains, and now that everyone’s working, and pooping, at home, the consumer chain is overstressed and the office one is, uh, backed up.
“In short, the toilet paper industry is split into two, largely separate markets: commercial and consumer.
The pandemic has shifted the lion’s share of demand to the latter.
People actually do need to buy significantly more toilet paper during the pandemic — not because they’re making more trips to the bathroom, but because they’re making more of them at home...”--Posted by

Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) skipped several hours of the impeachment trial to talk to members of the administration about coronavirus, a new report says — further proof impeachment distracted most of Congress at a crucial time.
Cotton told Breitbart News Sunday in late February that every conversation he had with President Donald Trump since January had involved coronavirus.

There is the threat that Islamic leaders pose in asking their people infected with the disease to infect others in virus jihad- die for the cause of Islam, infect others and go straight to heaven- truly sick, no pun intended.
See the source imageWe also have the oil war between the Saudis and Russia where the Saudis are pumping massive amounts into the world markets lowering prices, but it’s hidden agenda is to make America‘s frackers go out of business because it cost more to frack, thereby making American more dependent on them and not energy Independant. While we are economically down, they will pound and not let up. They see an injured opponent and will attempt to finish it. The Saudis are not our friends. Their form of Islam is the most radical.
America’s enemies see what is happening with one virus threat and will certainly produce others. This will NOT be the end of biological warfare, but the beginning. It is therefore incumbent upon America to have an effective “disaster preparedness“ plan in place for future threats.
Finally, the cure presently in place may very well be worse than the disease. We are near total shut down- approaching a police state where too much power has been subjugated to politicians in leadership positions. Constitutional rights have been lost for the “greater good.” Unless guidelines in the very near future are lessened, a sustained depression will occur-exactly what the democrats have been yearning for.
A weakened America is an easy target. Too many will lose jobs. Many businesses will not recover and that is exactly what America’s enemies want. Pray for wisdom for our elected leaders. Elect politicians whose agenda is for the people they represent, not their own."

Should We Postpone the Presidential Election One Year?
See the source image"The deeper we get into the pandemic, the more our country becomes locked down and socially distant: schools closed, shops closed, restaurants and theaters shut, churches reduced to services in parking lots, sporting events suspended, and recreational venues roped off.
The longer this continues with no real end in sight, only guesses by experts with ever-changing “models,” the more it becomes inevitable we must ask the question… Should we postpone the presidential election?
Or do we want some virtual election that would be so distant from a traditional American election it would more closely resemble a computer game while at the same time being fraught with myriad new possibilities for fraud and manipulation such as we have never seen before?...

Muskegon County Informed-Politics, taxes and politicians.Jim Riley shared a post.
"As bad as the virus is/might be, the political response, at every level, has been much more damaging.
  • As Dave Agema writes "America's enemies see what is happening...".
  • This will be repeated in some form again. And again.
  • Those enemies of American life are not only foreign.
  • Many within our own country seek to "fundamentally change" our society.
  • Media hysterics and complacent voters are the foot-soldiers of those politicians who would empower themselves at the cost of our Founder's vision.
Be forewarned!
