WaPo Columnist Slams Brian Stelter's 'Whitewash' of Cuomo Coverage
Washington Post media columnist Erik Wemple slammed CNN host Brian Stelter’s “whitewash” of fellow host Chris Cuomo and called for an outside investigation of Cuomo’s involvement in his governor brother’s sexual harassment scandal.
Brian Stelter, who hosts Reliable Sources, “attempted a demonstration of journalistic independence on his Sunday program,” Wemple wrote, by making several excuses for CNN’s compromised ethics.
Stelter said in part:

The process is the penalty. And a warning to us serfs!-----Latest developments in the prosecution of January 6 defendants - American Thinker
"Prosecutors in the cases against the January 6 demonstrators are starting to run into some judicial pushback: Questions about exculpatory evidence in their possession not turned over as the law demands, lower courts assessing the defendant as more dangerous than the evidence warranted, and most significantly, whether the prosecution is overcharging defendants with the federal crime of obstruction.
Most of the defendants are charged with knowingly entering or remaining in a restricted area -- a fancy way of saying trespassing.
...This hurdle will certainly slow down the impetus to plead guilty -- it’s one thing to face a misdemeanor charge and quite another to risk a 20-year sentence.
If the prosecution believes this conduct had been seditious or an insurrection, they would have charged it.
Obviously, they lack the evidence to sustain such serious claims.
Will they now re-charge for lesser offenses?
We’ll see.
I think Judge Moss might have, as I do, recalled the recent Kavanaugh hearings and their disruption when he asked the government whether it could cite any other cases in which the government charged comparable conduct.

Not "perfect"?????-----New York City’s new biometrics privacy law takes effect
"A new biometrics privacy ordinance has taken effect across New York City, putting new limits on what businesses can do with the biometric data they collect on their customers.
From Friday, businesses that collect biometric information — most commonly in the form of facial recognition and fingerprints — are required to conspicuously post notices and signs to customers at their doors explaining how their data will be collected.
...Businesses can face stiff penalties for violating the law, but can escape fines if they fix the violation quickly.
The law is by no means perfect, as none of these laws ever are.

Sobbing teacher abruptly quits during heated school board meeting: 'I quit being a cog in a machine that tells me to push highly politicized agendas' - TheBlaze
Sobbing, Morris said, "School board, I quit! I quit your politics. I quit your trainings and I quit being a cog in a machine that tells me to push highly politicized agendas on our most vulnerable constituents — the children. I will find employment elsewhere. I encourage all parents and staff in this country to flood the private schools."
According to the Daily Mail, Morris also slammed the school board's fixation on CRT lessons in schools.
"This summer I have struggled with the idea of returning to school, knowing that I'll be working yet again with a school division that, despite its shiny tech and flashy salary, promotes political ideologies that do not square with who I am as a believer in Christ," she added.

Teachers union advises members on defending critical race theory — like not using the term
"The Minnesota affiliate of the National Education Association and American Federation of Teachers has published a document advising its members on how to defend the teaching of critical race theory (CRT) in the state’s schools.
One will immediately note Education Minnesota’s tactics from the document’s title — “Responding to racially motivated attacks on racial equity in schools.”
- It’s not CRT but “equity.”
- Criticisms are “racially motivated.”
- A “key concept” of the document says teachers should stay away from using the actual words “critical race theory” because it has been “redefined” by conservatives as an “all-purpose racial dog whistle.”
- This ties in to another key concept: “ascribe motivations to the opposition.”...Read all.
