Obama Lied Again: He Said He’d Cut Healthcare Premiums to $2,500, But They’ve Soared to Nearly $5,000 | John Hawkins' Right Wing News

Obama Lied Again: He Said He’d Cut Healthcare Premiums to $2,500, But They’ve Soared to Nearly $5,000 | John Hawkins' Right Wing News:

"When our liar in chief first came to office he claimed that he was going to “fix” the healthcare system. Then, when he began to sell Obamacare he promised that all of our insurance premiums would be about $2,500 annually. But now we find that this liar missed it again. Premiums have soared to nearly $5,000 a year under his regime."

My God, what a hero!-----B-29: Phosphorus burned through his flesh to the bone. His body on fire, he stumbled into the cockpit

B-29: Phosphorus burned through his flesh to the bone. His body on fire, he stumbled into the cockpit:
"...Erwin was afraid the bomb would burn through the metal floor into the bomb bay.
Completely blind, he picked it up and feeling his way, crawled around the gun turret and headed for the copilot’s window.
800px-Red_Erwin_1995His face and arms were covered with ignited phosphorus and his path was blocked by the navigator’s folding table, hinged to the wall but down and locked.
The navigator had left his table to make a sighting.
Erwin couldn’t release the table’s latches with one hand, so he grabbed the white-hot bomb between his bare right arm and his ribcage.
In the few seconds it took to raise the table, the phosphorus burned through his flesh to the bone.
His body on fire, he stumbled into the cockpit, threw the bomb out the window and collapsed between the pilot’s seats.
The smoke cleared enough for Simeral to pull the B-29 out of a dive at 300 feet (91 m) above the water and turn toward Iwo Jima, where Erwin could be given emergency treatment.
His crew members extinguished his burning clothes and administered first aid, but whenever Erwin’s burns were uncovered, phosphorus embedded in his skin would begin to smolder.
Although in excruciating pain, he remained conscious throughout the flight and spoke only to inquire about the safety of the crew.
Once at Iwo Jima, medical personnel didn’t believe he would survive..."

Cruz: Beware Boehner’s shady deals with Obama

Cruz: Beware Boehner’s shady deals with Obama:

"Sen. Ted Cruz, who’s hovering in the middle of the Republican pack for president in recent primary polls, sent out a mocking message about John Boehner’s announced resignation to a crowd of Values Voter Summit attendees – but then quickly wondered if a shady motive had prompted the speaker’s departure."

Dr. Carson Is Right About Islam

Star Parker: Dr. Carson Is Right About Islam — The Patriot Post:
"Is Islam consistent with the American value of freedom?
...Let’s just look at how Muslims run their own affairs in their own countries.
According to the Pew Research Center, there are 31 nations in the world with Muslim populations of 90 percent or more.
Freedom House in Washington, D.C., rates nations around the world according to freedom.
They rate according to civil liberties and political rights.
Nations are broken down into three categories: free, partly free, and not free.
Of the 31 nations that are more than 90 percent Muslim, how many are rated free?
Two.
It seems pretty clear that freedom fares not so well in the Muslim world.
How about the Constitution?
The Constitution is not a value-free operating manual.
The reason the founders created it was to preserve American values.
They were quite clear about this in the preamble to the Constitution.
The preamble says: “We the people” establish the Constitution to “secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity.”
I spend much of my time reading the Bible so I can be a good Christian.
I don’t feel it is my responsibility to read the Quran and get into the business of trying to understand what Muslims believe.
My measuring stick can only be how Muslims behave.
And the evidence is overwhelming that Islam does not produce behavior consistent with the American value of freedom, the core value our constitution exists to preserve.
It is perfectly constitutional to elect someone with values that will destroy America.
It’s just not a very good idea to do it.
When Ben Carson says he “would not advocate putting a Muslim in charge of this nation,” only someone who does not care about the future of this nation would question the power of his logic."

EPA: $1 trillion water investment needed for American population growth | MLive.com

EPA: $1 trillion water investment needed for American population growth | MLive.com: "MICHIGAN - A new Associated Press project is highlighting the problems plaguing America's drinking water infrastructure, which is not aging gracefully.
Most people take the liquid on tap for granted, but the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency projects it will cost $384 billion over 20 years just to maintain the nation's existing drinking water infrastructure.
Replacing pipes, treatment plants and other infrastructure as well as expanding water systems to handle population growth could cost as much as $1 trillion.
Without that investment, industry groups warn of a future with more infrastructure failures that will disrupt service, transportation and commerce.
Michigan residents have seen these troubles firsthand in cities like Detroit, Bay City and Flint, the latter of which is now dealing with increased lead levels in drinking water after switching to the Flint River as a source last year.
Officials say the corrosiveness of river water on pipes is greater than Lake Huron water, which had been used for 50-plus years."

Todenhofer, who previously was an MP in German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s CDU party before turning to journalism in 2000 as a war reporter, spent ten days with ISIS.
He was overseen during his visit by “Jihadi John,” the ISIS terrorist from the UK named Mohammed Emwazi who gained fame in gruesome beheading videos.

The west is drastically underestimating the power of ISIS...”

Important read. Read it all. Twice!-----The Volkswagen Scandal: Driven By Moral Hazard Of Bailouts

The Volkswagen Scandal: Driven By Moral Hazard Of Bailouts
Volkswagen's bombshell admission that it cheated on US emissions testing has become the latest in a string of auto industry scandals driven by the moral hazard of bailouts.
...In January of 2014, President Obama took a moment out of his state of the union address to celebrate an automotive guest of honor: freshly minted General Motors CEO Mary Barra. For Obama, Barra represented a two-fer: not only was her presence an opportunity to boast about his decision to “save Detroit,” the fact that she was the first female CEO of a major automaker helped Obama make the case that his rescue had imbued the industrial giant with a new spirit of equality and meritocracy.
But less than a month later, Barra announced that GM would begin recalling vehicles with an ignition switch that had been turning off vehicles and disabling airbags for a decade, with fatal results.
...Barra fired 15 employees for their roles in the scandal, but refused to state that they would not receive severance pay, which strongly suggested that they had.
This, along with her symbolic power as a representative of “The New GM,” allowed her to insist that GM was acting with transparency and accountability even as they clearly were not.
The Valukas Report was taken as gospel, by representatives and the media alike, with few questioning the fact that GM had an ongoing business relationship with Valukas’s firm, Jenner and Block.
And when the Department of Justice announced GM’s settlement of criminal charges, it cited the Valukas Report as evidence of GM’s “cooperation” which justified its sweetheart deal.
Though GM had admitted that its decade-old defect had caused 124 deaths and hundreds more injuries, no individual executives were charged, the firm paid just $900 million in fines, and deferred prosecution kept GM from becoming a corporate criminal.
...The contrast between GM’s generous treatment at the hands of authorities and the media and the brutal attacks on Toyota were enough to demonstrate a double-standard.
For its non-defect, officially linked to zero deaths, Toyota paid $1.2 billion and received universal opprobrium from regulators and congress.
For its decade-old defect, which it admitted had killed or injured nearly 400 Americans, GM paid just $900 million and received praise from prosecutors and the media for its cooperation and accountability...
...VW’s concession to this tactic has resulted in a level of public outcry and potential regulatory and legal repercussions that easily rivals GM’s, despite the fact that not a single death or injury has been tied to the scandal.
The EPA is threatening a fine that is capped at a whopping $18 billion,
...Is Killing People Worse Than Emissions Cheating?
Once again we are confronted with an incredibly selective moral outrage aimed at a single, targeted automaker.
Only this time, the difference is that the total lack of moral outrage about GM’s serial killer-eclipsing death count is still ringing in our ears.
...With our sense of moral clarity so muddled by the Obama administration’s various adventures in auto industry protectionism-by-regulatory-scandal, the public no longer seems able even to accept the modest proposition that killing people is worse than cheating on an emissions testing regime that invites gaming and abuse both in theory and practice..."

Facebook 'unfriending' can constitute workplace bullying, Australian tribunal finds

Facebook 'unfriending' can constitute workplace bullying, Australian tribunal finds - Telegraph
A woman in Australia who unfriended a colleague on Facebook after a dispute at work was found by a tribunal to have committed workplace bullying.
The Fair Work Commission, a workplace tribunal, said the decision by Lisa Bird, a real estate agent sales administrator, to unfriend her colleague Rachel Roberts showed a "lack of emotional maturity" and was "indicative of unreasonable behaviour."
The incident occurred after Ms Roberts, a property agent, complained to the agency principal that her properties were not being adequately displayed in the store window.
Mrs Bird, the wife of the principal, then accused Ms Roberts of being a "naughty little school girl running to the teacher."
Ms Roberts left the office crying and then checked to see if Mrs Bird had commented on the incident on Facebook, only to discover that Mrs Bird had instead unfriended her.
Ms Roberts said she had been bullied and was left with depression and anxiety – a claim the tribunal accepted.
“This action by Mrs Bird evinces a lack of emotional maturity and is indicative of unreasonable behaviour,” the tribunal ruled..."

Refugee Crisis in Syria Raises Fears in South Carolina

Refugee Crisis in Syria Raises Fears in South Carolina - The New York Times:
DUNCAN, S.C. — The worried citizens gathered in the high school cafeteria, about 200 strong. Patriotic songs played on the stereo, a man in a blue blazer from the John Birch Society hovered by a well-stocked literature table, and Lauren L. Martel, a lawyer from Hilton Head, told the crowd that 25 Syrian refugees were already living among them.
“The U.N. calls it ‘refugee resettlement’ — the Muslims call it hijra, migration,” said another speaker, Jim McMillan, a local businessman.
“They don’t plan to assimilate, they don’t plan to take on our culture.
They plan to change the way of American life.”
The United States government has pledged to increase the number of worldwide refugees allowed in the country each year from 70,000 to 100,000 by the year 2017;
earlier this month, the Obama administration said it would take in at least 10,000 Syrian refugees over the next year.
But the anger and anxiety here show just how hard this might be in some parts of the country.
....“This immigration fiasco that we’re in the middle of is going to take away the very things that we’re dear about,” Mr. Burns said..."

BREAKING: Ben Carson Drops Truthbomb That Shreds Quran... And He Won't Apologize

BREAKING: Ben Carson Drops Truthbomb That Shreds Quran... And He Won't Apologize:

"In an interview with The Hill, Carson backed up his remarks and even doubled down, saying that the president should be “sworn in on a stack of Bibles, not a Quran.”

“I do not believe Shariah is consistent with the Constitution of this country,” Carson said in the interview. “Muslims feel that their religion is very much a part of your public life and what you do as a public official, and that’s inconsistent with our principles and our Constitution.”

Carson said he would make an exception for a candidate who “publicly rejected all the tenets of Shariah and lived a life consistent with that.”

Mark Zuckerberg's $100 million donation to Newark public schools failed miserably — here's where it went wrong

Mark Zuckerberg's $100 million donation to Newark public schools failed miserably — here's where it went wrong - Yahoo Finance:
In 2010, Mark Zuckerberg donated $100 million to Newark, New Jersey's failing public-school system with the intention of turning around the schools in five years.
The goals Zuckerberg set out to achieve — to enact a number of reforms that would make Newark a model city for education reform — are widely seen as a failure, journalist Dale Russakoff told Business Insider.
So where exactly did that $100 million go if the turnaround was a failure?
Russakoff mapped the money trail in her new book "The Prize: Who's in Charge of America's Schools," which tracked the five years since Zuckerberg's donation.
The $100 million from Zuckerberg actually became $200 million under the agreement other sources would match his contribution. Here's where that money went:
  1. Labor and contract costs: $89.2 million
  2. Charter schools: $57.6 million
  3. Consultants: $21 million
  4. Various local initiatives: $24.6 million
The total committed funds comes to less than $200 million as of January 2015, as some funding decisions are still pending.
One of the biggest failures in Zuckerberg's plan to reform Newark schools was the renegotiated teachers' contracts.
Zuckerberg envisioned the teacher contract reform to be a centerpiece of the reform and contributed $50 million — half of his total donation — to go to working on that cause.
