Communism Part II: The Scourge Spreads | Glenn Beck

Communism Part II: The Scourge Spreads | Glenn Beck:

"Communism’s first leader — Vladimir Lenin — fell ill and died in 1924, setting the stage for Josef Stalin. Just as it had been under the first few years of communist policies, the Soviet Union fell into another great famine in the early ’30s. Stalin brutally kept food from starving people, ordering his soldiers to shoot and kill peasants that came near it. Adding to the five million who had succumbed to the famine of 1921, another six million people died."

Head in the sand "experts"?-----Suspicious devices found on power lines in Tyngsborough

Suspicious devices found on power lines in Tyngsborough | Boston Herald:
"TYNGSBOROUGH — The FBI is investigating the discovery of suspicious devices found hanging from power lines in Massachusetts.
Harold Shaw, special agent in charge of the Boston FBI division, says the devices were found Wednesday when the Tyngsborough Fire Department responded to a brush fire.
Shaw says crews noticed the items and alerted National Grid.
The power company then alerted law enforcement.
Shaw says multiple incendiary devices "similar in structure to pipe bombs" were found. Tyngsborough police say the devices were found on the power lines.
The FBI says the devices were determined to be "non-explosive" early Thursday morning and have been rendered safe.
Shaw says at this point there is no evidence tying the devices to terrorism and law enforcement agencies and utility companies across the country have been notified."

Another Climate Scientist Calls B.S. On 97% Consensus Claim

Another Climate Scientist Calls B.S. On 97% Consensus Claim
Another climate scientist has told the truth about the nonsensical claim of a 97% consensus of scientists believing in the man-made climate change hypothesis:
“It was the narrative from the beginning,” [Dr. Richard ]Lindzen, a climatologist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), told RealClear Radio Hour host Bill Frezza Friday.
“In 1998, [NASA’s James] Hansen made some vague remarks.
Newsweek ran a cover that says all scientists agree.
Now they never really tell you what they agree on.”
“It is propaganda,” Lindzen said.
So all scientists agree it’s probably warmer now than it was at the end of the Little Ice Age.
Almost all Scientists agree that if you add CO2, you will have some warming.
Maybe very little warming.”
“But it is propaganda to translate that into it is dangerous and we must reduce CO2,” he added.
The study that announced the 97% consensus, “Quantifying the consensus on anthropogenic global warming in the scientific literature,”  by John Cook and friends, is simply bogus.
...But, the University of Queensland is hiding the fact that Cook’s study was a qualitative study which relied on opinion and produced biased results.
...The way the 97% study was conducted was Cook and his buddies looked at peer-reviewed studies and classified them as either agreeing or disagreeing with the climate change hypothesis.
Cook doesn’t mention that the 97% figure was really 97% of the hand-picked studies they reviewed. Even worse, investigative journalists at Popular Technology reported that the 97% Study falsely classifies scientists’ papers as supporting the global warming hypothesis – according to the scientists who published the papers.

Obama Commutes Sentences of 61 Felons

Obama Commutes Sentences of 61 Felons:

"What is so appalling and ironic about Obama’s clemency program is that in addition to releasing drug dealers, he is commuting the sentences of those who committed crimes with firearms.  At the same time, Obama is calling for tougher regulations on law abiding gun owners and dealers, he is releasing violent gun criminals into our communities.  Yet, Republicans cannot hold him accountable and message this point to the media because they agree with his underlying policy. "

Harvard activists claim jurisdiction over building, tear down flyers critical of group

Harvard activists claim jurisdiction over building, tear down flyers critical of group - The College Fix

The Harvard group “Reclaim Harvard Law,” which has been occupying the Law School’s Caspersen Student Center for over a month, claims it has jurisdiction over the building which they have renamed “Belinda Hall.”
After student Bill Barlow had put up flyers at Caspersen/Belinda which denounced Reclaim as anti-free speech, group members promptly took them down.

freespeech-SamGraham-flickrReclaim leader AJ Clayborne, who personally had removed some of Barlow’s flyers, said that anything that goes up in Belinda Hall “must be approved by Reclaim first”:
Belinda Hall has been reclaimed by Reclaim HLS for the purpose of creating an anti-racist environment for all and, accordingly, has a new governing body to protect that cause in a way that the institution’s existing structure, including DOS, has not. Anything that violates anti-racist values has no place in Belinda Hall.”
Barlow’s first set of signs compared the (anti-free speech) policies of Donald Trump to those of Reclaim.
But “[a]fter learning about Harvard’s 501(c)(3) obligations, which could bar signs referencing Trump, [he] created new signs void of political content.”
Clayborne and Reclaim removed those signs, too..."

FBI: Texas Hospice Boss Texted Nurses Execution Orders for Patients

FBI: Texas Hospice Boss Texted Nurses Execution Orders for Patients - The Daily Beast:
"The founder and CEO of a hospice services company instructed nurses to administer fatal overdoses to patients who had ‘been on the hospice service for too long,’ the FBI alleges.
As the FBI tells it, Brad Harris became a one-man private death panel as the owner and CEO of a Texas hospice.
“You need to make this patient go bye-bye,” Harris texted one his nurses at Novus Health Care Services, as recounted in an FBI search warrant affidavit.
The Feb. 5 affidavit, first reported by NBC 5 in Dallas, further alleges that 34-year-old Harris said of another patient, “If this f**k would just die.”
On at least four occasions, the affidavit says, Harris instructed nurses to administer overdoses to patients who had “been on the hospice service for too long.”
In one instance, Harris allegedly texted a nurse to dispatch a lingerer “by increasing the patient’s medication dosage to approximately four times the maximum allowed.”
The motive for the big hurry, the affidavit says, was money.
Hospice care is no longer the province of nuns and other noble religious volunteers.
It is now a multibillion-dollar industry where companies compete for patients who translate into taxpayer bucks.
To control the greed and the accompanying costs, the federal government imposes an annual “aggregate” cap for hospice care of $27,820.75 per Medicaid/Medicare patient..."

Why we hate unions-----UNION: STATE SHOULDN'T HAVE FIRED MAN FOR SMOKING POT ON JOB

...At the time Linhoff was fired, he was seeking treatment for depression, stress and anxiety because his wife had filed for divorce and he had a cancer scare; he believed smoking pot helped to alleviate his worries, according to Collins..."

Gov. Scott Walker Endorses Ted Cruz | Glenn Beck:

"Washington (CNN) — Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker formally endorsed Texas Sen. Ted Cruz on Tuesday, saying he is “a strong new leader” and “constitutional conservative.”

“After all these years of the Obama-Clinton failures, it’s time we elect a strong new leader and I’ve chosen to endorse Ted Cruz,” Walker told conservative radio host Charlie Sykes on Tuesday.

The endorsement could be a pivotal development ahead of Wisconsin’s April 5 primary, which is emerging as a key test for the remaining presidential contenders before the 2016 campaign heads east."

In CBO’s Projections, a Growing Reason to Worry About the Federal Debt

In CBO’s Projections, a Growing Reason to Worry About the Federal Debt - Washington Wire - WSJ
"Convincing Americans that they should worry about the federal deficit and debt is tough, despite all those warnings about the inevitable crisis.
Brookings Institution chart of projected increase in interest obligations on federal debt, based on data from the Office of Management and Budget and the Congressional Budget Office. The federal debt, the sum total of all the government’s past borrowing, is huge by historical standards: bigger as a share of the economy than at any time in U.S. history except for World War II. Yet the U.S. Treasury still is able to borrow billions every day at very low interest rates. Investors demand less than 2% to lend to the Treasury for 10 years.
But the trajectory of the debt is worrisome for one inescapable reason:
When you owe a lot of money and interest rates rise, your interest tab mounts.
Today, interest consumes a bit more than 6% of all federal outlays.
But the latest Congressional Budget Office baseline projections suggest that, without new tax or spending legislation, interest will account for more than 13% of all federal outlays in 2026.
That’s partly because interest rates are expected to rise from today’s very low levels; CBO expects the average yield on 10-year Treasury notes, now around 1.9%, to climb to 4.1% over the next decade.
There will also be more debt on which to pay interest because the government will be borrowing each year to cover the deficit."

Another Climate Alarmist Admits Real Motive Behind Warming Scare

Another Climate Alarmist Admits Real Motive Behind Warming Scare | Stock News & Stock Market Analysis - IBD:
"...We have been told now for almost three decades that man has to change his ways or his fossil-fuel emissions will scorch Earth with catastrophic warming.
Scientists, politicians and activists have maintained the narrative that their concern is only about caring for our planet and its inhabitants.
But this is simply not true.
The narrative is a ruse.
They are after something entirely different.
If they were honest, the climate alarmists would admit that they are not working feverishly to hold down global temperatures — they would acknowledge that they are instead consumed with the goal of holding down capitalism and establishing a global welfare state.
Have doubts?
Then listen to the words of former United Nations climate official Ottmar Edenhofer:
“One has to free oneself from the illusion that international climate policy is environmental policy. This has almost nothing to do with the environmental policy anymore, with problems such as deforestation or the ozone hole,” said Edenhofer, who co-chaired the U.N.’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change working group on Mitigation of Climate Change from 2008 to 2015.
So what is the goal of environmental policy?
“We redistribute de facto the world’s wealth by climate policy,” said Edenhofer.
For those who want to believe that maybe Edenhofer just misspoke and doesn’t really mean that, consider that a little more than five years ago he also said that “the next world climate summit in Cancun is actually an economy summit during which the distribution of the world’s resources will be negotiated.”
Mad as they are, Edenhofer’s comments are nevertheless consistent with other alarmists who have spilled the movement’s dirty secret.
Last year, Christiana Figueres, executive secretary of U.N.’s Framework Convention on Climate Change, made a similar statement.
“This is the first time in the history of mankind that we are setting ourselves the task of intentionally, within a defined period of time, to change the economic development model that has been reigning for at least 150 years, since the Industrial Revolution,” she said in anticipation of last year’s Paris climate summit.
“This is probably the most difficult task we have ever given ourselves, which is to intentionally transform the economic development model for the first time in human history.”
The plan is to allow Third World countries to emit as much carbon dioxide as they wish — because, as Edenhofer said, “in order to get rich one has to burn coal, oil or gas” — while at the same time restricting emissions in advanced nations.
This will, of course, choke economic growth in developed nations, but they deserve that fate as they “have basically expropriated the atmosphere of the world community,” he said.
The fanaticism runs so deep that one professor has even suggested that we need to plunge ourselves into a depression to fight global warming.

A test and our future?-----Syria-Linked Hacking Group Gains Access to Water Plant

Syria-Linked Hacking Group Gains Access to Water Plant:
"Hackers altered the ratio of the chemicals in the water, but staff noticed and took action.
Jihadists have previously attempted to poison water supplies.
A “hacktivist group with ties to Syria” has hacked into the control system of a water treatment facility and altered the ratio of the chemicals in the water, according to technology news site The Register.
The hackers “managed to manipulate the system to alter the amount of chemicals that went into the water supply and thus handicap water treatment and production capabilities so that the recovery time to replenish water supplies increased” according to an investigation conducted by forensic experts working for Verizon Security Solutions.
Staff was able to quickly identify and reverse the changes and at no point did the water become poisonous.
No motive for the attack has been confirmed and the location of the plant, owned by Kemuri Water Systems, has not been revealed.
Jihadists have attempted to hack water plants before.
In 2002 federal officials arrested   two Al-Qaeda suspects who planned to poison water supplies in the US. In 2003 an Al-Qaeda spokesman threatened to poison water supplies in Western cities.
An accomplice of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the mastermind of 9/11, admitted to plotting with him to poison water reservoirs in America.
More recently in 2015 the Islamic State are believed to have plotted to poison water supplies in Kosovo, leading to security services cutting off the water supply of the capital city Pristina."
