April 2016--Heather Mac Donald---The Danger of the “Black Lives Matter” Movement - Imprimis

No automatic alt text available. The Danger of the “Black Lives Matter” Movement - Imprimis:
"For almost two years, a protest movement known as “Black Lives Matter” has convulsed the nation. Triggered by the police shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri, in August 2014, the Black Lives Matter movement holds that racist police officers are the greatest threat facing young black men today.
This belief has triggered riots, “die-ins,” the murder and attempted murder of police officers, a campaign to eliminate traditional grand jury proceedings when police use lethal force, and a presidential task force on policing.
Even though the U.S. Justice Department has resoundingly disproven the lie that a pacific Michael Brown was shot in cold blood while trying to surrender, Brown is still venerated as a martyr.
And now police officers are backing off of proactive policing in the face of the relentless venom directed at them on the street and in the media.
As a result, violent crime is on the rise.
The need is urgent, therefore, to examine the Black Lives Matter movement’s central thesis—that police pose the greatest threat to young black men..."

Must read!-----"The hate for Trump and the hypocrisy and duplicity on display during John McCain's funeral week really solidified for me what we face and what the real danger is.

Michael Smith-- Fans of Best of the Web Today
"The hate for Trump and the hypocrisy and duplicity on display during John McCain's funeral week really solidified for me what we face and what the real danger is.
The fact the Bushes and the Obama's were playing footsie, the fact that the picture painted of the man after his death was so inconsistent with the conservative persona he took on in an attempt to get elected (it was like a cloak he donned and then discarded when no longer needed), that the very same people who said such horrific and nasty things about McCain when he ran for president now deify him in death and the fact that his family and supporters invited and allied with those very same people to take shots at the current President - all these factors combine to confirm once and for all that our country has been ruled by an elite club.
This club is a collection of people who don't care what each other say about them because the know it is all a game, that when the elections are over, they are all chummy again, a club that understands you have to pretend to be someone you aren't to garner votes from the rubes in the hinterlands and a club unified by a dedication to more government, only disagreeing on how fast to grow government and where to start first.
Those attacking the President at Aretha Franklin and McCain's funeral, even parenthetically, were too smart and too smug by half.
They thought they were doing something the general population supported, and while there is no doubt there were many who did, they also publicly demonstrated why people voted for Trump.
Their reaction to him clearly proves he isn't a member of the club.
You want more Trump?
Keep showing pictures of Michelle Obama hugging George W. Bush
Keep showing pictures of Al Sharpton and Louis Farrakhan on stage together.
Keep putting up Joe Biden, Jesse Jackson and Bill Clinton to say the same things as Meghan McCain and Barack Obama.
Because that's how you get more Trump.
Behind the not-as-clever-as-they-thought rhetoric, what I saw at both of these funerals was one thing - fear.
I saw fear that Trump's successes in trade, foreign policy and the economy could bring an end to the old order.
I saw cornered beasts fighting for their lives.
I saw impotent anger that the club is powerless against an outsider.
You may not like Trump - but if you want to fight being a government by oligarchs, he's the best chance in generations to end it.
The Chicago Tribune headline for an article by a couple of Washington Post writers unintentionally said it all.
The Trib editors wrote:
"McCain's funeral was a melancholy last hurrah for what's been lost in Trump era"
That is exactly right...and good riddance to it.
The club's fear is that it wasn't just lamenting McCain's passing, it was speaking at its own funeral."

On Saturday, no one was hailing McCain as America's savior. Instead, they seemed to be mourning a man whose life epitomized so much of what had been lost.

Outrage: Strzok Was Notified of Chinese Accessing Hillary's Server, Did Nothing
"...Amid the blockbuster report by The Daily Caller that a Chinese firm had penetrated Hillary Clinton’s private email server “throughout” her time as secretary of state, one FBI figure is mentioned prominently.
See the source image...According to The Daily Caller, Strzok, who was a one of the FBI’s top counterintelligence agents,  was briefed by investigators with the Intelligence Community Department of Inspector General (ICIG) about the possibility that Clinton’s email server had been compromised by a foreign intelligence service.
...That discovery was made “pretty early in 2015,”
...That’s pretty serious stuff, considering Clinton was secretary of state – the top diplomat in the United States government.
If emails she was writing were being copied – in real time – to a hostile foreign power like China, Americans would expect the FBI to take some sort of notice.
...“It seems unlikely that the FBI’s top counterintelligence official — who was leading the investigation into Clinton’s emails — wouldn’t remember being told that the Chinese had unfettered access to those emails while she was secretary of State.
“So, either Strzok is lying or the ICIG officials are. Our money is on Strzok.”
That’s as safe a bet as anyone ever made."

Friday Flashback: 18 Years of More Cowbell on SNL

Friday Flashback: 18 Years of More Cowbell on SNL
"If you haven’t already heard, there’s a Neil Armstrong biopic coming down the pipeline.
In this movie-film, the makers deliberately kept out the bit about Armstrong whipping out the stars and stripes and posting them up in the Sea of Tranquility for all moon men to see.
Because, in their view, credit for the moon landing belongs to everyone, not just ‘Muricans. Also, according to them, Neil was pretty meh on being an American from America.
See for yourself:
See the source image“I think this was widely regarded in the end as a human achievement [and] that’s how we chose to view it. I also think Neil was extremely humble, as were many of these astronauts, and time and time again he deferred the focus from himself to the 400,000 people who made the mission possible. He was reminding everyone that he was just the tip of the iceberg – and that’s not just to be humble, that’s also true. So I don’t think that Neil viewed himself as an American hero. From my interviews with his family and people that knew him, it was quite the opposite. And we wanted the film to reflect Neil.”
People started asking sound-barrier-breaking OG himself, General Chuck Yeager.
He was quick to call bullhickey on the whole thing.
Thank you, Chuck..."

What to do with a broken Illinois: Dissolve the Land of Lincoln - Chicago Tribune

John Kass's modest proposal for the dissolution of Illinois: Carve up the failed state and let the rest of the Midwest have it.What to do with a broken Illinois: Dissolve the Land of Lincoln - Chicago Tribune
"Illinois is like Venezuela now, a fiscally broken state that has lost its will to live, although for the moment, we still have enough toilet paper.
But before we run out of the essentials, let's finally admit that after decade upon decade of taxing and spending and borrowing, Illinois has finally run out of other people's money.
Those "other people" include taxpayers who've abandoned the state.
And now Illinois faces doomsday..."

Well, you have to hand it to him.
This is one way of getting attention that no one else has thought of.
And for good reason.
He's a mixed race, MN organic farmer, whose main issue is judicial reform, and he uses a racist term to draw attention to himself. Sounds like a covert Democratic SJW operator.
...Kyle Greene, an organic farmer running for a state House seat in Minnesota, used a racial slur in a campaign ad released earlier this month.
“I want to be your state representative, I want to be your public servant and I want to be your N-word,” Greene said in a video posted on his campaign website and Facebook page..."

On Friday, Judicial Watch announced the DOJ’s filing in response to Judicial Watch’s FOIA request regarding the warrants granted to spy on former Trump campaign advisor Carter Page:

CNN posts ‘face of the Trump resistance’ and it inadvertently becomes an instant hit … with the right Conservative News Today
“At first glance, Ginsburg seems like an odd figure to provide hope to Democrats, who have been forced to watch over the past few years as everything they hold sacred has been dragged through the mud by Trump,” Cillizza went on, opining that “the past two years have been nothing short of a hellscape for Democrats.”
CNN’s love affair with the oldest sitting Supreme Court Justice is nothing new, as liberals hang on to the hope that the 85-year-old’s workouts will help keep her going until President Trump is out of office.
But declaring that “the face of the resistance is a bespectacled grandmother with a killer workout routine” was just too much for the internet..."
