LANSING, MI — Donald Trump should drop out of the presidential race "for the good of the country," according to former Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm, saying it would be his best chance for the Republican frontrunner to honor his campaign promise to "Make America Great Again."...
OPEN LETTER: "Your lies and vitriolic rhetoric are causing irreparable damage to the nation," Granholm told Trump this week in an open letter published by CNN.
Granholm, an ally of Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton, criticized Trump for claims on variety of topics, from his golf game to the way American Muslims responded to 9/11 terrorist attacks.
"The last thing democracy needs is a candidate who intentionally stokes jingoism and makes racial animus mainstream," she wrote.
