Dole says he ‘might oversleep’ on Election Day if Cruz is the GOP nominee

Dole says he ‘might oversleep’ on Election Day if Cruz is the GOP nominee | OnPolitics:
"Add 1996 GOP presidential nominee Bob Dole to the list of prominent Republicans who are not fans of Donald Trump and Ted Cruz.
In an interview with MSNBC, Dole said he doesn’t know how Trump has done so well:
“He says things over the top and people applaud.
And he’s insulted about everybody, every other candidate.”
And what about Cruz?
“Cruz is so extreme,” Dole said..
It should be noted that Dole has endorsed former Florida governor Jeb Bush.
Dole, a former Kansas senator, was particularly critical of Cruz.
The Texas senator has slammed losing Republican nominees — a group that includes Dole — for failing to sufficiently appeal to conservative voters
“He used to make these speeches, ‘Remember President Dole? Do you remember President (John) McCain?'” Dole said.
“The inference was that we were all a bunch of liberals, and only he is a true conservative.”
Dole said it might be difficult for him to vote for Cruz, should he become the Republican nominee.
“Well, I would … I might oversleep that day,” Dole said."
