"...I keep hearing the ignorant on CNN and MSNBC comparing the protests/riots/looting to the Boston Tea Party as a justification for the violent actions of the "protesters".
Well, let me learn them some knowledge.

• The tea destroyed in the Boston Tea Party was the property of the Crown-owned East India Company, so what the Sons of Liberty destroyed was the property of the British government, not private property.
• No one was killed or injured in any way during the raid. 
• The ships were not burned or damaged, there was a broken lock, which the Sons of Liberty replaced the next day. 
• The ships were actually cleaned up and anything that was disturbed was put back in place.

...So yeah, other than being completely different, the protests/riots/looting are EXACTLY like the Boston Tea Party...
