"Health care workers and first responders who test positive for COVID-19 will be eligible for workers compensation under the Workers' Disability Compensation Act, according to emergency rules signed Friday, Oct. 16, by Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer.
The rules apply to workers in the medical industry, including hospitals, medical care facilities and emergency medical services, as well as law enforcement, fire safety and others, according to the governor’s office announcement.
