With all the storm and strife about crime in D.C.--the Democrats insist that crime is an illusion and everybody rides unicorns in the District--it's easy to forget that crime statistics are not just numbers.

•  Every red dot on a map or number in a chart represents a life that was ended, or at least upended.

• By now, if you read beyond the Pravda Media, you know that the Washington, D.C. police were faking numbers. Or, to be fair to line officers, it was the top brass.
