Every time I think of how far left my high school classmates have drifted, and wonder when they'll return, I remember The English Beat | Facebook - Rob Kerchner

We all listened to that band in our youth, joyfully dancing to "Stand Down Margaret" (which predicted World War 3 under Margaret Thatcher).

• A few years ago I saw The English Beat in Hermosa Beach, and before performing the song, their lead singer (Dave Wakeling) proudly defended his opposition to the very woman who had not only avoided World War 3, but actually helped Ronald Reagan *end* the Cold War, bring down the Iron Curtain, and free hundreds of millions of people trapped in a totalitarian hell.

The moral of that story is...when you go left, you go stupid.
They're never coming around.
