This Saturday and Sunday, the 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐨𝐦 𝟐𝟓𝟎 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐱 brings the National Mall its first-ever NTT INDYCAR SERIES race — a 1.7-mile, 7-turn circuit weaving past the Washington Monument and the Capitol, with cars topping 190 miles per hour. 

It exists because 𝐓𝐫𝐮𝐦𝐩 𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐧 𝐞𝐱𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐫 directing the White House Task Force on Celebrating America's 250th Birthday to designate the route, and ordering the Departments of the Interior and Transportation to fast-track every permit. 

• The result is the first motor race ever held in the nation's capital — a historic closing event for America's 250th anniversary...
