The entire democrat party against any fix for this theft!-----Stephen Miller says the scale of welfare fraud is so massive that eliminating it alone could balance the entire federal budget.

The claim still forces the obvious question: how much of the deficit is simply theft that never gets stopped? - Conservative Americans

When fraud reaches the size Miller describes, the missing money is large enough to matter at the national level.

Balancing the budget by cutting waste instead of raising taxes on workers is the practical path.
Every dollar stolen is a dollar that cannot fund legitimate benefits or reduce the debt...

Brivael Le Pogam on X: "My dear American friends, in my last post I gave you a snapshot of where France stands today. Now let me show you how we got here...

I want you to see the whole movie before you buy the ticket. - Brivael Le Pogam @brivael

After the war, France was a machine.

We called it the Trente Glorieuses, thirty glorious years.
We built Concorde, the most beautiful aircraft ever made.
We built a fleet of nuclear reactors in about fifteen years and gave ourselves some of the cleanest, cheapest electricity in the world.
We built Ariane and put Europe in space.
We built the TGV, the fastest train on earth.
We invented the Minitel, an online network in millions of homes before most of you had heard of the internet.
We were not a museum.
We were builders.

Then came 1981.

The 10,000-step rule wasn't based on science — here's what experts say to do instead

And where did the 10,000-step rule even come from? - Becca Blond

As it turns out, the 10,000-step benchmark wasn't based on science.

It originated in Japan in the 1960s, when a pedometer company called Yamasa created a product named "manpo-kei," which translates to "10,000-step meter."

The catchy number stuck — and so did the idea that 10,000 was the gold standard...

One can debate whether the Senate’s advice and consent role under Article II, Section 2 has anything to do with scrutinizing the judicial philosophy of nominees.

But one thing it is unquestionably supposed to do is prevent insane and otherwise mentally unstable people from reaching the federal bench. - Hans Mahncke @HansMahncke

And by that measure, the system is failing spectacularly.

Julie H Wright-Please don’t take offense because you are a most reasonable and intelligent man, but one must contemplate the number of these judges at this level who were born in another country, hold dual citizenship and don’t have American values and respect for our legal system.
Cruadin @cruadin - The Senate (starting with Biden and T. Kennedy during the Thomas hearings) turned judicial confirmations into a series of ideological litmus tests. Because so much of contemporary Democrat orthodoxy is quite literally insane, their judicial candidates simply reflect that Party's character. It is yet one more reason to vote a straight GOP ticket this year.
