"My wife and I took my 91-year-old mom to the emergency room yesterday because she had a bad pain in her back and said she now needed 24-hour care.
After ten hours waiting, she was finally admitted.
Image result for medicare confusingAs I heard her continuous, continuous screaming and crying, when her blood pressure went to 220/130, at which point she asked God to help her and that it was time to go, and as she had two morphine shots, other pain relievers, and finally a muscle relaxer, I learned that none of that would allow her to be admitted under Medicare.
A C.T. scan showed that in a fall, she had caused an acute fracture in a vertebrae.
She had literally broken her back.
The same bureaucracy was at work when I was told that this alone would also not be accepted as a legitimate cause for a stay at the hospital, according to Medicare.
You see, a broken back, according to the bureaucrats at the government, merits only observation, not admittance, because three days in the hospital might cause Medicare to have to pay for 20 days of acute nursing home treatment.
Thank goodness my mom also has a UTI, is dehydrated, isn't eating, and isn't confused, because that might be good enough for Medicare.
The doctors are not even sure that all of this will qualify mom for Medicare coverage..."

Debbie Wasserman Schultz is a threat to national security | New York Post:

Image result for flickr commons images Debbie Wasserman Schultz"As it turns out, Awan had access to Wasserman Schultz’s emails at both Congress and the DNC. He had been given the password to her iPad, which might also explain why she refused to turn over the server to the FBI.

Wasserman Schultz claims she defended Awan to the bitter end, because he’s Muslim and she didn’t want to see him demonized in an Islamophobic witch hunt. But that excuse doesn’t cut ice. Awan exhibited a pattern of shady behavior over the course of his employment. Yet instead of questioning him, she covered for him — and endangered the security of Congress’ computer networks in the process.

Such negligence should not be rewarded with another term in office."

Articles: Obama Looted Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac:
"President Obama never was shy about using his phone and pen to achieve what he could not get from Congress on regulatory matters.
Image result for obama freddy fannyBut documents revealed last week show the Obama administration may have been willing to get around congressional decisions on spending by using a slush fund of sorts funded by the profits of Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae, the two government-sponsored home loan giants.
...In response to the mortgage crisis of 2008, Congress passed the Housing and Economic Recovery Act, which provided $187.5 billion in government loans for Fannie and Freddie and placed them in conservatorship under the newly established Federal Housing Finance Agency.
But Fannie and Freddie were not in such bad shape after all, and in just a few years, they were turning profits and on course to pay back the government with interest and still have money to pay dividends to their investors.
In 2012, the Obama administration came up with a plan to divert those profits to the Treasury that became known as the Net Worth Sweep. ...
The dividends were a problem for the administration because it made it hard to explain why it needed to abscond with Fannie and Freddie’s $241 billion in profits, execute an improper taking against the shareholders, and spend the money without congressional approval.
Some even pushed to change accounting methods to make Fannie and Freddie look worse on paper and/or force them to “need” loans to survive..."

Obama Admin. Knew About North Korea's Mini Nukes in 2013

Obama Admin. Knew About North Korea's Mini Nukes in 2013:

Image result for flickr commons images North Korean Missles"You can chalk this up as another example of President Obama employing his signature strategy for dealing with sticky national security issues: Ignore, discredit, or downplay. If the foreign policy crisis was too big to ignore, he would give a speech -- and kick the can down the road for another president to deal with.
In 2013, Obama not only downplayed the Defense Intelligence Agency's intelligence report about Korea's mini nukes -- he attempted to discredit it. "

Other companies have found out the hard way that playing politics is risky, since it will invariably upset a good chunk of your customer base, no matter which side a company takes. This is the beauty of the free market. It offers choices. And that's good, despite what Google's autocomplete might lead to you to believe …."

Culture Beat: Rainbow Mafia: Dubious Economics to Further Agenda — The Patriot Post
"Socially conservative laws are labeled as dangerous for business, while leftist prerogatives are an economic boon.
The Texas Association of Business has been a vocal critic of a proposed transgender bathroom bill — one that would restrict the use of public bathrooms to an individual’s biological sex rather than one’s self-declared gender identity.
It’s similar to the law that was passed last year in North Carolina.
So why would a business advocacy group oppose a common-sense law that protects the vast majority of the population?
Because it fears an economic backlash to the tune of an estimated $8.5 billion in lost business should the bill become law.
In Florida, a small-business advocacy group called Florida Competes has been actively and aggressively pushing for the state to make sexual orientation and gender identity a protected class under the Florida Civil Rights Act.
The advocacy group maintains that this change would boost Florida’s economy by some $5 billion and add at least 36,000 jobs over the next decade.
What’s driving this connection between business revenue and leftist “social justice”?
Call it the Rainbow Mafia’s economic carrot-and-stick approach.
Across the country, these single-minded pressure groups have been promoting their agenda by pouring money into a “network of small-business coalitions that routinely make doom-and-gloom economic prognostications about socially conservative legislation.”...
