Now, they are claiming that we have virtually no idea who Kavanaugh is or what kind of Supreme Court justice he would be. Solving that mystery, they say, requires putting the confirmation process on hold while they access more than 1 million documents related to Kavanaugh’s service in the George W. Bush White House.
This demand raises an obvious question: What is the point of this demand, since the Democrats making it announced their opposition to Kavanaugh before President Donald Trump even announced that he was the nominee?
The answer is equally obvious.

"With the debate raging over the ability to download information in order to make parts for firearms and produce them on a 3D printer, the National Rifle Association (NRA) had to remind people that making undetectable plastic guns has been illegal for 30 years.
“Many anti-gun politicians and members of the media have wrongly claimed that 3-D printing technology will allow for the production and widespread proliferation of undetectable plastic firearms,” Chris Cox, the executive director for the NRA's Institute for Legislative Action, said in a statement.
“Regardless of what a person may be able to publish on the Internet, undetectable plastic guns have been illegal for 30 years,” he continued.
“Federal law passed in 1988, crafted with the NRA's support, makes it unlawful to manufacture, import, sell, ship, deliver, possess, transfer, or receive an undetectable firearm.”

Why, you ask, is that a problem for the Democrats? Because they have all but embraced socialism, what with their free health care and free college and free money for everyone (this last dubbed “universal basic income,” so as to sound less socialist).
Sen. Bernard Sanders, the Vermont “independent” who got aced out of the Democratic presidential nomination in 2016 by some shenanigans perpetrated by former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, started the whole thing off.

Mexico’s Murder Rate Hits Highest Level in Decades
"The number of murders in Mexico rose sharply last year, pushing the homicide rate to its highest level since at least 1990 as violence among drug gangs persisted and highlighting the challenge faced by the incoming administration to contain criminal violence.
The National Statistics Institute said Monday the number of murders rose 27% last year to 31,174, the most on record going back to 1990 and equivalent to 25 per 100,000 inhabitants.
The homicide rate rose from 20 per 100,000 in 2016, and was above the recent high of 24 in 2011..."

President Donald Trump met with Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conti Monday in the Oval Office.
President Trump opened the room to reporters so the two leaders could make a few statements during their meetings.
The reporters know when they come into a meeting whether or not the president will take questions. On Monday the president was not planning on taking questions.
