Bill Clinton-Boris Yeltsin 'Chicken Summit' exposes Democrats' impeachment double standard - Washington Times
A leaked memorandum of conversation obtained by The Washington Times found that Mr. Clinton pressured the Russian leader by offering U.S. political support for Mr. Yeltsin’s reelection — with just one catch: Russia first had to lift a ban on U.S. chicken imports, imposed over concerns that the poultry was tainted with bad bacteria.
“This is a big issue, especially since about 40% of U.S. poultry is produced in Arkansas,” Mr. Clinton told the Russian leader in Sharm el-Sheikh. “An effort should be made to keep such things from getting out of hand.”

‘It’s Explosive’: Republican Lawmakers Highlight ‘Significant Errors’ By FBI | The Daily Caller:

Republican lawmakers touted the FISA report findings Monday, noting the FBI had made significant errors and omissions when applying for warrants to spy on a Trump campaign advisor.
Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s report found 17 significant omissions and errors made by the FBI, contradicting many who defended the bureau. Many congressional Republicans argued that the report’s findings vindicated their suspicions about the Russia probe.

Can The Airline Industry Survive Climate Change?
Can The Airline Industry Survive Climate Change?
"...Commercial airliners pump out 2.5 percent of total global warming gasses.
The industry’s trade group, the International Air Transport Association, expects emissions to triple over the coming twenty years as ridership takes off in Asia and mature markets like the U.S. continue to expand.
...The “flight-shaming” movement now sweeping Europe shows signs of driving would-be air passengers to other modes of transport.
In Sweden, the birthplace of flygskam and of climate activist and airline-avoider Greta Thunberg, air ridership is in fact on the decline.
Dutch airline KLM has suggested that travelers bypass flying for shorter trips and, in 2020, Germany will increase the tax on air tickets while simultaneously lowering the tax burden on railway passengers...."

Suit alleges Detroit has thousands of dead residents on voting rolls
Suit alleges Detroit has thousands of dead residents on voting rolls
"...The city had 511,786 registered voters as of the 2016 general election, according to Detroit election data, while the U.S. Census Bureau’s American Community Survey that year estimated Detroit only had 479,267 voting-age residents, the lawsuit said.
This year, analyzing the city’s official voter registration list from the state roll, Public Interest members “identified records listing years of birth indicating registrants of 105 years of age and older, with some records listing dates of birth in the nineteenth century.
According to the foundation’s research, the oldest, active registrant in the city of Detroit was purportedly born in 1823, 14 years before Michigan was admitted to the Union as the 26th state,” according to the suit.
...For example, in a sample of 2,503 voter registrants flagged as likely dead...
...After the 2016 presidential election, a Wayne County canvass revealed "significant discrepancies" in the number of voters and ballots in 392 Detroit precincts.
The Michigan Bureau of Election "found no evidence of pervasive voter fraud," according to a 24-page audit, but noted that more than half of 136 Detroit precincts had nearly 600 questionable votes, which was reduced to 216 after extensive review.
Poll worker errors in the 2017 general election prevented 20% of reviewed precincts from being recounted..."

Nancy Pelosi Contradicts Schiff: Impeachment 'Isn't About Elections'
Nancy Pelosi Contradicts Schiff: Impeachment 'Isn't About Elections':
When questioned about why the Mueller report findings were not included in the articles of impeachment, Pelosi gave a seemingly agitated response.
“I wish everyone just focused on what we are bringing forward because this is very serious violations of our constitution, undermining the national security of the United States, jeopardizing the integrity of our elections,” she said. “Instead of talking about what isn’t, this is what is, and that’s how we’re moving forward.”
Pelosi also said she is “not worried,” adding that the impeachment process against President Trump is about “patriotism” rather than “elections,” as Schiff had claimed on Tuesday.

How Climate Change Became Apocalyptic | Climate Dispatch
"In recent years, the issue of climate change has taken a decidedly apocalyptic turn.
...But the escalation of apocalyptic climate rhetoric in recent years is unprecedented.
The drumbeat of doom has led some prominent figures to turn on the mainstream climate community, complaining that “climate scientists have been underestimating the rate of climate change and the severity of its effects.”
In reality, climate science has not just accurately anticipated unfolding climate change but has done so consistently for the past 50 years.
There is thus an inconsistency here.
Discussions of climate change have become more apocalyptic, but climate science has not..."

"In recent years, the issue of climate change has taken a decidedly apocalyptic turn.
- Earlier this week United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres warned, “If we don’t urgently change our way of life, we jeopardize life itself.”
- A group of scientists writes that we “might already have lost control” over “tipping points” in the Earth’s climate, warning that the “stability and resilience of our planet is in peril.”

"The perception out there — Beware of Illinois! — is mostly due to state government’s irresponsible stewardship of the people’s money.
Illinois has an enormous hole in its state employee pension system.
The latest estimate is a $137 billion unfunded pension liability — essentially, money promised to government retirees that Springfield hasn’t set aside.

Pollak: Line by Line, A Complete Debunking of the Democrats' Articles of Impeachment | Breitbart
Democrats released their two articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump on Tuesday, and they are a complete joke.
Not only did the Democrats back away from charging Trump with bribery, obstruction of justice in the Mueller investigation, campaign finance violations, treason, or any of the other wild claims they floated, but the two articles themselves are fraudulent, based on blatantly false claims of law and fact.
