Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer admitted Thursday she doesn’t have any evidence to back up her allegation that anti-lockdown protesters spread the coronavirus to rural areas in her state.
Ms. Whitmer, a Democrat, first made the claim Monday during a phone conversation with Vice President Mike Pence, in which she urged him to discourage the anti-lockdown protests at the Michigan state capitol because demonstrators were bringing the virus back home with them in rural areas, TheBlaze reported.

U.S. Attorney General Bill Barr said Friday it is time for state and local governments to begin easing off of harsh restrictions adopted to protect against coronavirus.
Barr made his comments in response to a question during a Twitter Q&A session Friday. Asked about the constitutionality of restrictions imposed by state and local governments, Barr said those local governments could impose “reasonable and temporary restrictions” but said that “the Bill of Rights doesn’t go away during a crisis.”

What Will It Take To Reopen U.S.? CDC Says 'Aggressive' Contact Tracing : Shots - Health News : NPR
"It's the question on everyone's minds: What will it take for us to come out of this period of extreme social distancing and return to some semblance of normal life?

...CDC Director Robert Redfield spoke with NPR on Thursday, saying that the plan relies on not only ramped-up testing but "very aggressive" contact tracing of those who do test positive for the coronavirus, and a major scale-up of personnel to do the necessary work.
Contact tracing is the process of finding and reaching out to the contacts of someone who tests positive for an infectious pathogen.
Those contacts are then quarantined or monitored, and if any of them are also positive, the process is repeated with their contacts, and on and on, until the chain of transmission is halted.
It's a labor-intensive, time-consuming practice that for decades has been a fundamental public health tool for containing infectious diseases..."

Report: John Durham's investigation now going 'full-throttle,' rapidly expanding - TheBlaze:

Image result for flickr commons images William BarrIt is not yet clear what conclusions will arise from Durham's review. However, Barr suggested last month that a day of reckoning may be on the horizon.
"My own view is that the evidence shows that we're not dealing with just mistakes or sloppiness, there was something far more troubling here; and we're going to get to the bottom of it," Barr said last month when asked about the investigation.
"And if people broke the law, and we can establish that with the evidence, they will be prosecuted," he declared.

Kelly later told Beck that Reade is in a particularly precarious situation because she has come out with an accusation against a political leader in an election year.
Pointing to Christine Blasey Ford's accusations against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, Kelly said that while the #MeToo movement has been beneficial in many cases, it has also become problematic in many ways.
The news veteran said that society has "overcorrected," and in many cases, the accused hasn't received fair due process.
"That's not OK, either," she insisted.
If Reade is telling the truth, however, Kelly said that she will be the perfect person to expose "the hypocrisy" of some Democrats.
