"...If that testing shows the virus has slipped into the country in places federal officials don't know about, "we've got a problem," Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, told USA TODAY's Editorial Board Monday.
Short of that, Fauci says skip the masks unless you are contagious, don't worry about catching anything from Chinese products and certainly don't avoid Chinese people or restaurants..."

President Donald Trump announced Friday that the United States was formally severing its relationship with the World Health Organization, citing the disproportionate amount of influence China has over the WHO, CNBC reported.
Conflict between the United States and the WHO resulted from the WHO's response to the COVID-19 pandemic, which the president believes was too lax on China and the communist nation's responsibility for the spread.

  • When used alone, masks can give you a false feeling of protection and can even be a source of infection when not used correctly.
  • If you are healthy, you only need to wear a mask if you are taking care of a person with COVID-19.

Murky messaging: Facebook allowed 'Death to America' advertising but censors US back-to-work rallies | Fox News:

"In addition, Facebook just announced a new Oversight Board that will handle content appeals. That board is overwhelmingly international and lacks American support for First Amendment ideals."
Nonetheless, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has sought to distance his platform from the President's Twitter feud, insisting in an interview on Fox News this week that his company has "a different policy than Twitter," and that they are "stronger on free expression" than other tech giants.

I was hiking alone in the Colorado Rockies.
I encountered a woman rounding a bend in the trail who muttered something to me as we passed one another.
I said, “Excuse me?”
She unloaded on me with a tirade of unprintable curses and uncompromising demands that I wear a mask, like hers.
So worked up was she that the microdroplets expectorated straight through her mask at approximately 3,400 mph.
Colorado still does not require masks for solitary activities like showering (I sincerely hope not to encounter her there) and hiking alone in the woods.
Apparently, she personally has a different rule and she insists that everyone else follow it...

The New York City Council announced on Thursday that it will no longer allow the “dehumanizing” and “offensive term” “alien” or “illegal immigrant” to describe individuals in the conduction of official city business.
The city will now use “noncitizen” to describe everyone who is not a citizen, blurring the distinction between a green card holder, a refugee, a temporary guest worker, a tourist, and an illegal alien.
