From the web:
"Democrats love to play word games.
There is a vast gulf between
  • a legit voter requesting an absentee ballot - and
  • a corrupt Democrat establishment blasting out absentee ballot applications to every Tom, Dead and Moved on dirty, unmaintained voter registration data bases
And there is a vast gulf between everyone using an absentee ballot - and creaky, old-school election infrastructures being able to count them in a timely manner.
Remember, these are the same Folks who have been unable to accept the result of the last election."

To better understand the COVID-19 mortality rate in the U.S., Steve Deace compiled data from the official Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website and shared the information on Tuesday's episode of the Steve Deace Show.
Deace and his team independently pieced together the information released by the CDC to the general public with the goal of helping Americans better understand why much of the pandemic panic was an overreaction. Here's what they found:

Postal workers are sounding the alarm as mail sorting machines are removed from processing facilities
"It's not just business as usual at the United States Postal Service.
While President Trump is publicly saying he plans to block funding for the USPS so that Democrats can't achieve their goal of expanding mail-in voting across all states ahead of the November election, the Postal Service is also facing some internal changes.
Vice News' Motherboard reported Thursday that USPS is quietly removing mail sorting machines — the very machines that are responsible for sorting ballots.
There's no official explanation for the changes, and it's unclear why the machines would be removed rather than simply not used when not needed.
The removals and planned removals are reportedly affecting several processing facilities across the U.S.
"It'll force the mail to be worked by human hands in sorting. Guarantees to STOP productivity," a Post Office source told The Washington Post's Jacqueline Alemany.
"On top of cutting the overtime needed to run the machines, can you imagine the [overtime] needed to do this [the] old hard way?"...Read all.

Silicon Valley Donors 'Happiest' with Kamala Harris as Joe Biden's VP

Former Vice President Joe Biden’s selection of Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) sparked enthusiasm for the ticket in Silicon Valley as Harris has kept a close relationship with big tech and done little to obstruct the industry during her tenure in office.
Recode wrote on Tuesday that Biden has struggled, until recently, to “excite the wealthiest and most powerful tech moguls,” whereas Harris will bring “superfans” from the Silicon Valley billionaire class to help out the Democrat presidential ticket.

NPR: “Mounting Evidence” Suggests #COVID19 Not As Deadly as Thought. | Watts Up With That?
"An NPR report suggests the global response to COVID-19 may have been based on a flawed assumption about the volatility of COVID19.
We already know that the model used to initially predict infection and death rates was completely flawed, and now discredited, along with the modeler Neil Ferguson of London’s Imperial College.
Back in 2005, Ferguson claimed up to 200 million might die from the Avian flu, but in reality, only about 100 didSee the source image
In March 2020, Ferguson was queried by The New York Times with the question: “what the best-case scenario was for the US during the COVID pandemic?”
“About 1.1 million deaths,” he said. So far, as of this writing, 154,471 deaths have been recorded according to the CDC.
Ferguson’s model numbers overreached reality by about a factor of ten
From the report: (bold mine)
Mounting evidence suggests the coronavirus is more common and less deadly than it first appeared.
The evidence comes from tests that detect antibodies to the coronavirus in a person’s blood rather than the virus itself.
The tests are finding large numbers of people in the US who were infected but never became seriously ill. And when these mild infections are included in coronavirus statistics, the virus appears less dangerous.
“The current best estimates for the infection fatality risk are between 0.5% and 1%,” says Caitlin Rivers, an epidemiologist at the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security.
That’s in contrast with death rates of 5% or more based on calculations that included only people who got sick enough to be diagnosed with tests that detect the presence of virus in a person’s body.
Basically, the “nanny state” politicians decided to shut down the global economy to protect people from a contagious virus that has resulted in no symptoms or mild symptoms for up to 90 percent of the people who contracted it.

This will eventually go down as one of the biggest, if not the biggest, scientific and political blunders of the 21st century.
The so-called “climate emergency” is a close second...Read all.

  • Campus Reform has reported multiple instances where professors have faced discipline for speaking out against popular viewpoints.
  • Campus Reform identified the most egregious examples of professors who have fallen victim to "cancel culture."

"As we’ve reported extensively at Campus Reform, professors across America are facing mounting pressure to fall in line with the Left’s “Social Justice” movement.
While it sounds nice, oftentimes, supporting “social justice” means supporting socialist, Marxist policies and organizations.
Increasingly, those within academia who fail to wholeheartedly support such movements are labeled “racists” and “white supremacists” and fired or suspended by their institutions.
Here’s a list breaking down some of the most egregious examples of professors being discriminated against because of their unwillingness to support the far-left social justice movement.

Oregon State Police Pull Out of Portland -- Local DA's Refusal To Prosecute Behind The Move? Return of Feds At Hand?
"Very interesting development earlier today, as the Oregon State Police announced they were leaving Portland.
Local reporting says that the move is a result of the announcement by Multnomah County District Attorney Mike Schmidt’s that his office does not intend to prosecute most of those arrested.
“The Oregon State Police is continually reassessing our resources and the needs of our partner agencies and at this time we are inclined to move those resources back to counties where prosecution of criminal conduct is still a priority.”...Read all.

Black Lives Matter Mob Demands White People Give Up Their Homes – Summit News:
  • “Now we’re bringing it to your front door!”
"A video out of Seattle shows a mob of Black Lives Matter agitators harassing a homeowner and demanding that they give up their property in order to fix racism.
The clip shows a male demonstrator singling out one home and lecturing those inside about how they’re “living in a historically black neighborhood.”
He then accuses whites of buying land and homes from black people for below its market value and kicking out African-Americans...Read all.
